It’s actually sad that booktubers need to give disclaimers before they dislike or unhaul books. We all have opinions and we won’t all agree with each other and that’s okay 👌 Love your videos, Ashley!
oof book unhauls are soooooo satisfying! i hate holding on to a book/series that i won't read and i'm glad that booktubers like u are rly only keeping the books that they love, not because they feel forced to have a ton of books
I definitely love an unhaul. I think our tastes change as we grow as people so it's not surprising that something we loved or were interested in a few years ago isn't for us anymore.
Unhaul videos are my favorites! I have a huge list of book, makeup, clothes, and everything else unhauls. They make me so happy when I see people dropping stuff that does not bring them joy!
Your outfit is so cute!! I really need to unhaul more books because I’m holding onto way too many ~sentimental~ books or ones that I always say “I’ll get to it eventually” but never do. So I think I’ll do this too!!
You're so lucky that you haven't read The Cursed Child :- ) I think I'll unhaul it in the next round but unfortunately, I can't unread it 🤐 Great unhaul!
Great un-haul video girlie!! Don’t ever apologize for getting rid of books that you’re just either not into anymore or don’t plan on reading. It’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. Own it girl!! 🙌🏻
Funnily enough I can unhaul 3 Star books just fine. You know this books that weren’t bad but weren’t really good either? That didn’t evoke any strong emotions? But a book that I gave 1 Star ... I just can’t get rid of it. Too many feelings involved. It’s really stupid 😅🙈
Is it too bad that I actually cheered at your Cursed Child unhaul?! I baught it and read it BECAUSE it was Harry Potter related and I hated it! Actually did a book TAG on that at my channel hahaha
Hahahaha I just never got around to reading it in general and decided it wasn’t worth the space it took up on my shelf! 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed me getting rid of it though! Lol
@@adashofash well, I'm going to break it to you right here, right now: you have the best survival instinct ever! Unhaul that book and never look back if you still wanna love or at least like Harry Potter 😂😂😂
I literally gasped when you said The Darkest Minds lol 😂😂... I think you’re missing out, but I respect your decision to give them away to someone who’ll enjoy them
I think it is awesome to get rid of books you know you are never going to read. This way you have space for ones you will read and someone else has a chance to read the ones you don't want anymore :) I also unhaul books I know I never will read or reread but I usually do it slowly rather than all at once.
I'm honestly so impressed when people can unhaul books! I tend to be such a book dragon and just hoard them no matter how I felt about them. Side note: was that a signed 1st edition of Nevernight? I've actually been looking for that edition and if you hadn't unhauled it yet I was wondering if maybe I can buy it off you? Sorry if this is weird 🙃I just want it to match my signed 1st ed of Godsgrave haha
It is so nice to see a different opinion on Nevernight- I doesn't strike me as my type of book, but I have only heard raving things about it but I wanted to hear a non raving opinion you know? And I am the same with the Darkest Minds!!! (and the movie.... wasn't good hahaha) Love this video :)
NOOO TEss of the Du'rbervilles haha. You wound me haha. I love the melodrama of it but I can totally see how aggravating that book could be. You might enjoy the BBC Mini series more because it redeems the characters a bit more haha. And Nevernight! Unhauling all my favs haha. Honestly drag them tho, make space for the books you love :)
Omggg I didn’t know it had a mini series! I just remember hating the book with a PASSION when I read it the summer of my senior year😂 maybe I’ll check it out and it’ll change my mind (maaaaybe😉) and oh no! Sorry for unhauling your favs hahaha hopefully they’ll get to people who’ll enjoy them more than me 🤗
Ahhhhhhhhhhh. So therapeutic. I love unhauls. I always want to unhaul, idk why. But I've literally unhauled everybook I could. The only books I have left are ones I really want to read or my favs. A series I haven't finished is Beautiful Creatures. I loved tje first one, but I've heard so many bad things about the rest of the series. I haven't unhauled it yet.
Good that you're getting rid of Harry Potter and the CC! I don't know if you've ever seen the play yet? But definitely try to see that because it's 100000000 times better than this scripts! I also really don't get why they published a bloody screenplay the FB film that you can just watch (I still bought it though... hahah) I love unhauling books! DECLUTTERING YASSS
❤️ this video - I live for unhauls! This past year I have really embraced unhauling books I no longer want or care for and my collection looks so much better as a result. Not only is it more manageable but all of the titles I can see are ones I am passionate about 😇 I have only read the first book in the Old Kingdom series (Sabriel) by Garth Nix but I have all of the others. I really need to figure out if I’m continuing with them or not 😕
omg I totally want to read some those books! But haven't gotten around to them since I don't have the money to buy them ): I prefer having my own copies than checking out from the library.
I'll admit that All the Crooked Saints starts off weird and hard to follow but I stuck through it and I found it ultimately really enjoyable. But I get it, and I hope it goes to a good home.
No one should be mad if you donate one of their favorites, because now an inexpensive copy of their favorite will be found by someone who can't afford full price 💜
I recently did an unhaul and could’ve definitely done this tag when I did lol I wish I had no attachments to things because it is very difficult for me to do so especially if I enjoyed it.
I need the paperback of mortal instruments!! I have the 1st and 2nd book and I’m trying to complete my series so I can read them all the way through so I don’t have a big gap between books.
Same with darkest minds ahaha. But I HATE starting series and not finishing (I mean I do it all the time ahaha but it pisses me off). So I'll probably listen to the audio ahah
A series I am still debating about throwing out is "Die Seiten der Welt" by Kai Meyer. It's just... I remember quite vividly what was happening in the first book but never finished it. I found it too graphically writtem at points where it shouldn't have been. The story ist still stuck in my head which makes me wanna pick it up again but I don't think I am going to. It's just not my writing style I guess.
I think maybe it’s good that you never finished the magisterium series because I loved the books while reading them but towards the end things got weird and tbh the book leaves you weirdly unsatisfied even tho it has a 'happy end'
I keep trying to want to get into the city of bones books and such, i own the first three as a box set up i cant bring myself to read it. But i will eventually. I have a romance reveal book box subscription and i have found 3 books i hated but cant seem to unhappy because there signed lol
Tess of the D'Urbervilles is pretty nice though, at least to me. In fact the only Thomas Hardy book that ends less depressingly than Tess is Far Fromt he Madding Crowd. Now if you want a book that can really freak you out, go for Jude the Obscure. At least Tess tries to fight the ludicrous world she lives in, she does her best to make the most of bad situations. But Jude the Obscure, goodness, Just and Susan's situation goes from bad to worse to I-can't-believe-an-author-went-there. HOwever, I find Thomas Hardy kind of nice because it shows how sick and defeated people can feel by this terrible world, Tess is the one who FIGHT that terrible world though, and for that she is to be commended, at least she doesn't just give up like some of his other characters do. As for the Cursed Child, people are being too judgmental. I have not seen a single comment against it which makes it bad, people use Cedric's brief scenes in Goblet of Fire and assume they know everything about the character, and the issue I did have twiththe book no one brings up, so I decided whatever, sure tyou can let other people's hate fuel your decision to avoid a book, but like there are GOOD thigns about Cursed Child and people igore that stuff because they want to despise the book, which I do not appreciate at all, but I do love the part where if I say I like the book all of Booktube would be against me, that's fun, I get when ytou don't liske something you might want to bash it but it becomes insane when you turn that against people who do enjoy it.
I only have the first two books in the magesterium series. I've only read the first one and haven't read the second one. I don't know at this point if i'll finish it

honestly so many series, for example the broken empire by mark lawrence(only read the first book) and the raven's shadow trilogy by anthony ryan(two books), which i have already unhauled bc i had to realize that high fantasy just aren't for me.
Don't worry, you won't be doing anything to my favorite series because chances are you have never heard of it. I have certainly never seen it mentioned in a single video on Booktube. It does have a section on FAnfiction.net though which is awesome.

I've recently unhauled The Maze Runner series, and hopefully a library or charity shop will want it!
WHY WOULD YOU UNHAUL THE MAZE RUNNER
I think i just dont like zombies/plague themed, because i loved book 1 and thought the other 2 were good, i hated kill order and i liked fever code
