I’ll admit, seed of chucky is my least favorite in the franchise, but I’ll also admit, I like how they tied the seed of chucky lore into this episode. Mancini had a vision, and I respect him for finally following through with it 👍
Mr. Leach, I think Bald Chucky being "The Colonel" is an allusion to _Apocalypse Now_ , where Marlon Brando's character, Colonel Kurtz, becomes a warlord in the jungle ruling the indigenous peoples. Bald Chucky put the other Chuckies' heads on spikes to show he's a warlord. He also spoke to Dr. Mixter in the same accent as Marlon Brando.
I guess Jennifer is probably going to try and take her body back from Tiffany and I thought Meg Tilly would be significant character in the Tiffany saga. Jake really is attached to the good Chucky doll alongside Nadine I think Devon going about things that's gonna end up putting him in serious danger and Lexy right with him but I don't know what the plot is this season.
Don Mancini is capitalizing on him being a strong pop culture icon that is becoming timeless in the horror genre. I have no problems with how campy it is, it’s quite entertaining and really fun to come once a week and enjoy some bonkers shit that comes out of the serial killer dolls mouth.
@@skyofthelivingdead I think that we can expect a new movie from Don soon but until then I am appreciating a horror comedy tv show. Season 1 was great and they’re expecting/hoping for a season 3. I’m all for it tbh
The camp is ingrained in the very core of the concept. Don also manages something very difficult: it cam be chilling, despite (or perhaps cuz of the balance with) the camp. And can be genuinely funny, without leaning on annoying "ain't this wacky? Wink wink!" Jokes. Or the other categories of failed horrorcomedy: being a comedy where some people die. Or a slasher where occasionally someonr makes a joke. Might not have managed that balance every shot he takes, but he has a higher hitrate than most others who attempt it.
@@user-zh4vo1kw1z I’ll agree with you there. He definitely does camp better than a lot of horror comedy because you can tell he’s got a deep love for it and lots of knowledge about the genre of camp film. And there is absolutely inherent camp to Chucky, he’s a murderous doll powered by voodoo. I just think it’s better when they play off of the existing campiness of the concept, instead of piling on references from other camp media. Like, I think the “Colonel” Chucky at the end worked because it was tonally darker than the rest of the episode, but still played on the natural silliness of a bald doll.
This might be my favourite episode of the TV series thus far, it was so fun and felt like it was genuinely pushing the narrative forward from past movies. I really love that they’re exploring the impact of Seed, specifically with Jennifer’s life and Glen/Glenda realising their past. While I understand not liking how the season is leaning into the Seed of Chucky stuff, I will say I think they're handling most of it better here than in that movie, particularly in regards to the Glen character. That character seems to be taken more seriously this time around. I also thought the idea of keeping Jennifer Tilly's soul locked in the Tiffany doll for so many years is pretty dark and fucked up, though I agree that the chocolate addiction thing was really stupid.
If you were locked in a cage for decades, I think you might be craving something chocolatey as well lol. But, I agree. Don Mancini was right to tie up the loose ends of Seed. Whether we like it or not, it is cannon and he did a terrific job of tying it all back to that film.
I thought I would hate the episode but Jennifer Tilly and the doll reveals were monumental for the series. It just ties everything up so nicely. Loved it! ❤
Personally had a blast with this episode. In the bts of this episode Don explained that he strategically was able to bring the character of Jennifer Tilly back cause unlike chucky who does the regular chant, when Tiffany did it she said switch 3 times so that’s why she’s in the doll and she possibly died in seed but was resurrected by Tiffany to keep her hostage. I love seeing the Glen doll come back, I like the relationships of Nadine and Lexi, the therapist being confirmed to be with chucky, Andy being alive but tortured by bald chucky or as he’s officially called the colonel, and who knows what buff chucky will have the nun do. Also I’d like to point out something I saw someone said about this season while season 1 was basically a sequel to cult of chucky, season 2 is a continuation of seed.
Couldn’t watch it after he started ripping pages out of the Bible some Christians like me do actually care about everyone even the lgbtq community and not everyone hates them so the fact they do that in this episode can’t watch it no more I don’t like that anti Christian shit
I really enjoy the episode. Jennifer Tilly being trapped inside the Tiffany doll was a huge plot twist, and everything about Good Chucky just cracks me up, and seeing Andy alive only to be tortured by Bald Chucky was a shocker. This season is just all over the place and I like it.
This is a direct sequel to SEED OF CHUCKY. Mancini could care less about the fans want, he wanted a self-indulgent follow-up to a storyline that he felt had been shafted by UNIVERSAL years ago.
Mr. Leach, I suspect what Tiffany told Glen is that the plan is for them to do the ritual again where Tiffany's soul will return to the doll and Jennifer Tilly will get her body back. But I suspect Tiffany will end up in the new Belle doll introduced, and there will be a scene where both Belle dolls say "No, I'm the real Jennifer Tilly!"
Its just been an okay season for me so far. Personally, there isn't enough Fiona Dourif for me. When she is there...this show takes on a COMPLETELY different vibe and thats what I want.
Don't know why fans are surprise to know Jennifer Tilly alive in the Tiffany doll when Tiffany put her soul in Jennifer body while transferring Jennifer soul into the Tiffany doll if y'all ever seen Seed Of Chucky and why Jennifer Tilly's babies souls not in the Glen doll if their souls been switched but Jennifer been in the Tiffany doll for way over 10 years that's a sad fate.
@@nerdscore6756 Yes, so if that’s the case, Jennifer is the one that technically got axed while in the Tiffany doll. And then they made it seemed like Jennifer died while in the doll
@@cassandram.2390 Nope Jennifer soul didn't transfer into the Tiffany doll yet probably cause Tiffany in doll form was axe and died but Tiffany successfully managed to transfer her soul into Jennifer Tilly and likewise with Jennifer soul going in the Tiffany doll same as Glen, Glenda and Jennifer twins who for some reason souls not in the Glen doll.
@@nerdscore6756 I mean yes she did. Tiffany did the switch spell, then Jennifer got axed while in doll body. That’s why glen goes to her, and she says, “be good for your mom” or some shit like that. Tiffany wouldn’t of referred to herself like that, it was Jennifer telling glen that. The evidence leads towards Jennifer being in the doll body while getting axed. As to how she’s still alive. Idk. Maybe they used a damballa spell to bring her back. I have no clue. Maybe it’s just Don’s inconsistent writing again lol
as someone who dislikes Seed of Chucky almost as much as you do, at first i really thought bringing Glen/Glenda back would turn me off from most of season 2 because it would go way too deep into Seed territory, but at this stage i’m actually more invested in their storyline than Tiffany’s lmao that ending with ‘The Colonel’ cutting into Andy’s leg really reminded me of that one kill in Hostel II where the cannibal is eating Victor Krum from Harry Potter’s leg (forgot the actor’s name)
Watch some of this show and then go back and watch Child's Play (1988) or Child's Play 2 and you will be reminded how far this franchise has fallen. I watched 1988 yesterday, and it was just mindblowing how much Chucky has changed.
Yep. People said the old Chucky wouldn’t work as well today (which may hold true to a slight degree), but I disagree. I think the camp is just ridiculous, and Don does not know when to stop. He wanted to do a musical this season. It didn’t happen, but he wants to do it next season…just no.
@@cassandram.2390 Child's Play 1-3 and Curse Chucky with the dark twisted sense of humour is better than Chucky now. I liked Season 1 but 2's just a Seed sequel in TV series form.
So celebrities that plays themselves and be murdered in the Chucky universe don't mean a thing Redman, Joe Pantoliano, Liv Morgan and now Meg Tilly deaths were/gonna be swept under the rug.
They're all low profile celebrities who are dead, there's nothing else you can do with that except showing it on a news report. Their deaths don't directly affect the story. The only hight profile celebrity Chucky ever killed was Britney but either way it doesn't contradict any in universe logic
@@digitalcoffin666 That doesn't mean a thing and Redman is a high profile rapper, Liv Morgan is a WWE wrestler and Meg Tilly is still well known in cinema and that wasn't Britney Spears in Seed Of Chucky it was a look alike these celebrities being murdered obviously would be suspicious they media will find Meg Tilly is missing.
@@masterfulwarriorplus5398 1) In universe, it was britney 2) Yeah authorities will probably find out about Meg. What's the problem? 3) Redman and Meg Tilly high profile?
I love this season I love how each episode is like a surprise you never know what’s gonna happen. I always was curious on what happen to glen and glenda and I’m so glad to see them come back. I understand a lot of people want the old chucky from chucky 1 through 3 but that’s not gonna happen they have done way to much to just completely ignore everything. I personally like this season more than the first one.
I think one problem I have with this season Is that we don't see much of Chucky and what I mean Is that, we have these different Chucky dolls with different personalities but we don't see much of THE Chucky like Brad douriff's original and that really lets me down, after all that character Is the franchise's face
Its mostly the older generation that doesnt like seed. Most of the critics and reviewers have actually been loving this season and thinks its much better than season 1. Im so sorry youre not enjoying it but i think its amazing.
I was just in the middle about the first 4 but I absolutely loved this one. This one contends for one of my favorite, if not my favorite, of the entire show series. I just like all the reveals. It had me on the edge of my seat.
I appreciate these week to week episode reviews because I like seeing a different perspective. It’ll be sad if next year you stop, but I understand. Thanks anyways Cody!
This show is sooo painful to sit through. Season 2 episodes are far too long and padded out. And Mancini has a problem with bringing in unnecessary issues that retcon problems that never existed before, then retcons that again. Don has written everything, yet he falls over his own feet again and again.
Congrats on the 100k subscribers. Seems like your channel gained a lot of traction this year.. I enjoyed the episode and have liked the season (with what this show is, I'm not expecting it to be my favorite season of the year) but I think they need to pick up the pace a bit or at least give more of what the mystery is. I hope they don't wait for the last episode to bring all the character together.
I think it’s safe to state, Chucky is no longer scary. Those days are over and it seems Season 2 is an indirect sequel to “Seed.” I’m a diehard Chucky fan and feel like a traitor for feeling this way but I can’t see myself rewatching this season. I LOVE seeing Meg Tilly though but again her demise annoyed me! The campiness and pop culture connections (i.e. Sutton Stracke, star of the now very controversial Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who is also Jennifer Tilly’s real life bestie) just makes it feel more like an extension of the BRAVO network. Horror ❌ / Mystery ❌ / Nighttime SOAP ✅. If the reviews and viewership are optimal, my guess is that Chucky’s trek will continue on this pulpy path. Alternatively, I think they’ll pull another “Curse” move and go back to the dark and scary (ish) if this current model get tired or too ridiculous. Chucky isn’t the first franchise to go berserk and we’re seeing this more and more (i.e. Disney and Star Wars) but if the viewers are in attendance and topics are “HOT”, they’ll continue…
I totally agree with you on the fact that Jake's guilt over the death of his foster brother is fueling his desire to have good Chucky in his life. And they affirmed in the episode when good Chucky made a Batman reference after Jake bandaged him up and Jake had a flashback to his foster brother in his Robin costume. Don't see how Lexi & Devin don't see it as well but I guess they're dealing with their own issues. And the Tiffany doll was actually re-introduced at the end of Cult of Chucky sitting in backseat when reunited Nica(Charles Lee Ray) & Tiffany drive off after breaking out of asylum.
I thought this was another good episode. I think the show has picked up since Glen and Glenda arrived. I'll always like OG Chucky more but I think it's fun to finally have Seed expanded upon. The Jenifer Tilly reveal had me smiling.
Finally just set a series recording for this show since catching up on S1 & 2 since Halloween. Hope we get a S3. Chucky playing the bald character at the end was an Apocalypse Now reference I think. He's called The Colonel ( Colonel Kurtz) and he did a Marlon Brando voice.
Revealing that Tiffany has been imprisoning Jennifer was cool, because ever since Seed we never really knew for sure if Jennifer was dead or not. Glen and Glenda figuring out their past and getting to know the truth about their mother is fine. Hopefully next week we find out why Dr. Mixer is working with Chucky and how Andy got captured. I’m curious to see what happens with Nica/Chucky, how Kyle and Glenda plan on helping them.
I think this season has improved on the character of Glen/Glenda, but that is really the only thing I like about the continuous references to Seed. I’m intrigued as to where the season continues to go, and I’m convinced that the Good Chucky is a sleeper. He’s going to get in close and then snap back to himself and kill one of the main three.
I respectfully disagree. I take the good chucky as the innocence of a child. My theory or at least head-canon if they don’t do this is they should have him be impressioned on. Example of how they are doing this is, they got the muscles chucky explaining to him what he thinks the chucky should be doing, also even the chucky says he feels it natural when he thew the knife at the buff Chuck. The other side though is when he is told about what was done to jake’s father and others, he seemed genuinely disappointed and wish he could do something to help jake. He even helped to make sure the kids didn’t get into trouble by going back to the desk. I think the question will be, does jake turn on good chucky or not. If he does then chucky goes bad and helps the colonel chucky, if not, then he becomes an ally to the kids in their fight in reguards to the evil chucky’s. It is a thing to see what the choice is. I bet it gets answered in episode 7 or 8
Child’s Play 3 is the scariest and I love his animatronics in that movie I love this series season 2 is great because Seed Of Chucky in my book is just a Ranchy movie with horror elements but it’s not my favorite, this episode is my favorite because I love Tiffany and the way she was in Bride Of Chucky & Love Jennifer Tilly As A Actress in General
I’ll say it; the Nadine and Lexy friendship has been my fav part of the show. Even if it’s not a main plot line, it’s still been fairly important and in my opinion, well-written and very natural. Maybe it’s just personal for me, but I’ve enjoyed following that plot line very much this season. I enjoy the camp a *bit* more than you do, but I generally agree overall. There’s a bit of inherent silliness to Chucky just in general, and I prefer when they play on THAT instead of inserting all this weird, nonsensical randomness. And yeah, I can do without the addiction and eating disorder jokes. They’ve done it a few times now and I’m not easily offended, but they really got under my skin as a person who has seen and dealt with both of those issues and how dangerous they are. I’m glad someone else noticed that they’re actually just in poor taste and I’m not being too sensitive, even if my circumstances can justify the sensitivity. It’s just not funny.
The eating disorder jokes and fat jokes etc are done with permission from jennifer tilly, she actually is the one that wanted to do it. She likes to poke fun at her fictional self. The jokes are rooted in real life jennifer tilly.
@@bug8357 she can make fun of her fictional self without making digs about addiction and EDs which are very real issues. Its also extremely contradictory to how they’re portraying Lexy’s addiction plot line the way it should be treated, with empathy and respect.
@@Xehanort10 yeah and jokes like that are part of the reason there’s still such a stigma around addiction especially. So many people think people with addiction issues are violent criminals or murderers and that’s just not true. There are bad people who are addicts, but not all addicts are bad people.
Mancini is just an interesting guy. Brought chucky back to his dark roots with curse and cult and season 1 for the most part. So he won the fans over. Now he has the fans won over and goes back to his seed days. Really had a chance to abolish seed and pretend it didn't happen but it's to late now. Really hoping that it turns around this season as I have liked some of the stuff we got.
Hey Cody, great review btw also I just thought I’d ask about when you’re going to return to the John Carpenter review series? because I’ve been waiting for your The Thing review since I know it’s your favourite horror movie and would love to hear your in depth thoughts on it.
I can already tell they’re probably gonna end off the season with some dumb cliffhanger about “Who’s actually in control of Jennifer Tilly’s body and the doll”? Probably won’t even answer it either, they’ll just leave it open for the fans to decide 😂
From what I've seen in this comment section and other forums, Don probably achieved what he intended to do with Seed of Chucky, which is salvage the lore of the movie and putting the pieces together in a way most of the fans would enjoy. It seems to be working
I feel you on this one Cody. As a die hard fan of the first 3 movies and maybe Bride, I pretty much don’t care for anything after and am not much of a fan of what Jennifer Tilly brings to the table, hence I’m not going to enjoy this series as that is clearly what they’re going for. The comedic, colorful, wackier approach to Chucky is not what I’m interested in watching. I want a darker, grittier version. What I don’t get are the plentiful overly positive reviews and people saying it’s the best show they’ve ever seen. Whaaaat!!!?
This is the best episode by far I’m having so much fun with this series. it was honestly very good I got goosebumps when the seed of chucky music played. But I can see why you love og chucky. Also love how dons still trying to explain things.
Great Ep Devon and Lexy BETTER SAVE Andy it was a great cliffhanger I really want to see Andy back!!! I was really shocked to see Jennifer Tilly as herself still alive having seen her killed by Chucky in Seed with an Axe to the head but the last Ep kinda built this up and even from seeing the previous Ep left me scratching my head “maybe Jennifer is still alive?” since everyone who knew the actual Jennifer are at the party but still it was a astonishing reveal!! I really am loving and getting a great laugh with Devon Sawa playing that Priest really does an excellent job portraying a fanatical preacher yet it leaves you chuckling because from experience you always run into these kind of people in real life once so often so I feel Don Mancini on what he is going with on the writing there also being an Atheist I think Devon has become my favorite character after ripping pages from the bible proclaiming it Bullshit then throwing the book at the cross!! I really hope the next Ep is more about Devon and Lexy freeing Andy from the jumpstart I guess we’ll see what Kyle, Nica and Glenda are doing too but we’ll see really enjoying the show!!
Best episode so far but that really isn't saying much. I don't like the seed of chucky angle at all. Lexi and Nadine's characters are the most interesting, I love good chucky, but I know he is ultimately going to change, the ending was really cool. I hope they bring back the darker stuff like in the first season. Always appreciate the videos cody, keep up the great work. 🔪
The only thing that threw me off a tad was seeing Alex Vincent's (Andy) name in the openning credits and kept wIting for him to show up and he's only shown for a few seconds at the very end.
So far S1 is much better but S2 is entertaining ghats for sure as ridiculous as its getting and I felt bad for Andy being tortured again...people talk about Nica being done wrong but if were talking franchise overall tormented the worst its Andy easily from being stalked, framed, his mom being institutionalized, his childhood being killed, avoiding chucky taking over his soul and getting killed, now he's being tormented and tortured by a bald Chucky no less lol. I have a feeling good chucky will turn back to evil chucky at some point. Also I found a plothole in seed we see Tiffany doll after she transfers her soul into jenn tilly being dead or not alive. Now she did say "switch, switch, switch" So did she just wake up Jennifer tillys soul within the Tiffany belle doll she was in? I could have done without the focusing on christians not agreeing with the gay stuff(to be fair its not the only religion against it) but I digress. I can see the pinning chucky up like Christ being offensive but I'm sure thats ok by Dons eyes being raised catholic but also as one myself I do disagree with some rules of thr church but I wouldn't disrespect Jesus but thats me. At any rate the show is fun but S1 is much better imo so far.
I definitely liked this episode better then episode 4. Although episode 4 did set up Tiffany to be explored really well in this episode imo. Also Buff Chucky vs Good Chucky was a lot of fun too.
Really appreciate you at least go "im still invested but the camp isnt for me" in approach. To much at times youtube seems like good and disaster only outcomes allowed. S1 so far do think stronger but so far do enjoy the insanity so far. Alao glad we should be getting more Jen now instead of Jen playing Tilly
I don't see why people dislike Seed if chucky but get happy when they turn a comedy to horror vibe but it's all hell when a horror turn into comedy movie all hell break lose. When they do that it actually get people who afraid of horror into horror and its fun ride if u watch it for the comedy
I legit have been enjoying every episode, but this is the first episode I've kinda cringe to. Trying to redeem seed of chucky isn't a direction I'm cool wit either
I'm having a blast this season. Yes, Chucky is no longer scary but he's always been entertaining. It's super whacky and you get to see new stuff every week
I think the problem is we've seen Chucky come back so much and know what to expect, so it makes it hard for him to be scary on his own. Same for Freddie and Jason, they lose what makes them scary when we know them
it had to be on the jennifer tilly side because so many people were braying for glen/glenda and the only way they could have been introduced independent of jennifer/tilly is if they had also been at the catholic school and one of the kids had been a potential romantic interest for either lexie or jake or both. father bryce is so stuck on devon and jake being gay, but i'm so sure that even though they are room mates that they haven't even touched each other besides a kiss.
I liked this episode, but I really am getting sick of the whole crazy/goofy/overly dramatic Tiffany character. It's getting old and I'm not gonna keep on board with the show if this is where they're gonna focus most attention to. I did like the ending of this episode, never saw Dr. Mixter being a bad character. And I'm not down with "Good Chucky"
More and more I'm wishing Tiffany had been a one off character in Bride because after that her character just became "Let's bash people over the head over the head with the fact she's played and voiced by Jennifer Tilly."
Really conflicted about this season, i've liked some elements of it but it's become way too preachy. Seems like mancini is more interested in pushing his agenda than he is in making a good show. Good chucky claiming he can be whatever he wants and then killing buff, macho chucky? devon reading the whole being with men is a sin line and trashing a bible and a cross, while being at a chapel? at least season 1 was a bit more subtle about it, at this point it's just kinda cringy.
It's a little too goofy for me but it's entertaining I hope they turn more sinister in the next season a la original Child's Play trilogy and Curse of Chucky. The three main characters also have very little to do imo. They're just sort of stuck, only at the end of the last episode were they doing something interesting.
I also dislike Seed but I actually find this episode, this season and the tone it's going for really fun. Idk what the difference is that's making me love it but idk. The campiness really works for me where in Seed it didn't as much
er yeah its stupid beyond belief that the kid would become protective over chucky after it murdering his family and friends . its another case of crazy movie logic
Fun episode but kinda dumb tho but lovedddd the last 5 minutes because it actually felt like horror instead of the silly vibes but if I’m being honest I wish we got that chucky goes psycho movie from the poster we saw looked pretty cool
Haven't really liked this season much, very little direction and it doesn't seem like they have a real goal in sight. First season had more seamless paths to follow as far as the story and this season doesn't make a lot of sense. It just seems like a spinoff of Seed that I don't much care for.
I'm like you in that I prefer the old school Chucky for the Child's Play series. This show is quickly dying a terrible death as Mancini is venturing way too much into Bride/Seed lore for my liking. The more hammy Jeniffer Tilly in this show, the less I want to watch. Season one was fine but Season 2 has been pretty awful.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned that the dead guy on the floor of the cabin where Andy was being held is Brad Dourif. Nice little cameo.
This is a direct sequel to SEED OF CHUCKY. Mancini could care less about the fans want, he wanted a self-indulgent follow-up to a storyline that he felt had been shafted by UNIVERSAL years ago.
He’s going to push the fan base away. Just sit back and watch the sparks fly.
This is what Don does. He gets carried away and just starts incorporating what HE wants without any logic involved. He needs to take a step back lol
There’s a reason why universal didn’t help distribute seed
not all fans dislike or hate seed
@@morbius2817 not really people love the show outside of this channel
I'm not a fan of the goofiness either but I love "good Chucky"
I think good Chucky is actually good. But once he finds out Jake isn’t straight , he’s gonna go ballistic 😭😭
This is a joke right 💀
Its just been an okay season for me so far. Personally, there isn't enough Fiona Dourif for me. When she is there...this show takes on a COMPLETELY different vibe and thats what I want.
Exactly...I needed more of her character
Don't know why fans are surprise to know Jennifer Tilly alive in the Tiffany doll when Tiffany put her soul in Jennifer body while transferring Jennifer soul into the Tiffany doll if y'all ever seen Seed Of Chucky and why Jennifer Tilly's babies souls not in the Glen doll if their souls been switched but Jennifer been in the Tiffany doll for way over 10 years that's a sad fate.
I thought that Jennifer died after that axe to the head and there wasn't much implication that she survived since then 🤷🏻♂️
@@blizzard-storm97 If you paid attention Tiffany successfully did the ritual on Jennifer so they switch bodies before Tiffany got axe in the head.
Maybe it’s just Don’s inconsistent writing again lol
as someone who dislikes Seed of Chucky almost as much as you do, at first i really thought bringing Glen/Glenda back would turn me off from most of season 2 because it would go way too deep into Seed territory, but at this stage i’m actually more invested in their storyline than Tiffany’s lmao
that ending with ‘The Colonel’ cutting into Andy’s leg really reminded me of that one kill in Hostel II where the cannibal is eating Victor Krum from Harry Potter’s leg (forgot the actor’s name)
@@Xehanort10 I don't like Curse as much as 1-3, but I do still like it, but it is, IMO, an anomaly as far as the Mancini projects go.
@@masterfulwarriorplus5398 Liv Morgan death was not in canon
I don't think they thought that stuff through that much. You are over-thinking this shit.
The old Chucky from the Child's Play trilogy wouldn't work in today's world. It would be too outdated.
So worried about Andy. I hope he's ok.
Yes the old chuckies 1-3 all time faves
Season 2 is starting to feel more like a Full Moon Features production
And the Tiffany doll was actually re-introduced at the end of Cult of Chucky sitting in backseat when reunited Nica(Charles Lee Ray) &
Tiffany drive off after breaking out of asylum.
I bet it gets answered in episode 7 or 8
Congratulations on 100,000 subs Cody. About time!
My favourite episode of the season. So much crazy stuff happened. I want Good Chucky to save the day.
The whole "killing's an addiction" thing got old when Tiffany was saying it in Seed.
@@skyofthelivingdead 2 different types of addiction. One is about killing people and one is a real addiction. Maybe you’re just too soft?
I've been going up to my sons & saying "My name is Kevin Riley & I'm your God damn father" because of this episode
Maybe season 3 will go dark or when the show is canceled, the movie will go dark. A series can survive multiple season with this inept storytelling
Hey Cody, great review btw also I just thought I’d ask about when you’re going to return to the John Carpenter review series? because I’ve been waiting for your The Thing review since I know it’s your favourite horror movie and would love to hear your in depth thoughts on it.
congrats on 100k cody!
I can already tell they’re probably gonna end off the season with some dumb cliffhanger about “Who’s actually in control of Jennifer Tilly’s body and the doll”? Probably won’t even answer it either, they’ll just leave it open for the fans to decide 😂
She doesn't have a chocolate addiction. It's a coping mechanism.
From what I've seen in this comment section and other forums, Don probably achieved what he intended to do with Seed of Chucky, which is salvage the lore of the movie and putting the pieces together in a way most of the fans would enjoy. It seems to be working
I got super excited when they show Jennifer tilly in the doll and then when they busted out the glen doll!
Whaaaat!!!?
Child's play was never that dark and gritty to begin with.
I've really enjoyed seeing you track your thoughts on this season episode-to-episode.
This is the best episode by far I’m having so much fun with this series. it was honestly very good I got goosebumps when the seed of chucky music played. But I can see why you love og chucky. Also love how dons still trying to explain things.
The last two episodes have been going down hill from here.
Good Chucky I'm sure will sell well w merchandise
I love that they brought back the seed theme! I love Glenn and that movie
Thanks for all you do Cody appreciate your content 🤘
I feel like this show is retroactively making Seed of Chucky tolerable for me based solely on the strength of this version of Glen and Glenda.
Another wonderful review. Even if I am a fan of the other side of the Fandom. Thanks again for everything you are doing.
I'm having a hard time looking past the horrific acting by all these kids.
This is probably my favorite episode this season so far. Chucky (imo) is BONKERS, and it feels like they know how to do that BONKERS the right way
Don Mancini ruins anything he directs. So glad I didn't bother with this season, season 1 was insufferable enough. Childs play 1, 2 and 3 all the way!
That last one was boring as hell but I loved everything about it. Especially the ending. Wtf is going on here
Honestly its clear the show is for the kids. The seasons can be cut up into a feature length film that makes more sense.
If it does get renewed for a 3rd season. Please still keeping doing weekly reviews. The Chucky show is the only reason I know of your channel.
Horror is supposed to scare you. That's the point. Saying the only way to get people into horror is to turn it into comedy makes no sense.
I legit have been enjoying every episode, but this is the first episode I've kinda cringe to. Trying to redeem seed of chucky isn't a direction I'm cool wit either
I liked episode 5 a whole lot better than episode 4 but I did not care about the bride and seed storyline.
Chucky in general has been absolute garbage after bridge. They throw shit at the wall and disrespect the established lore. It's trash TV
I'm having a blast this season. Yes, Chucky is no longer scary but he's always been entertaining.
It's super whacky and you get to see new stuff every week
I think the problem is we've seen Chucky come back so much and know what to expect, so it makes it hard for him to be scary on his own. Same for Freddie and Jason, they lose what makes them scary when we know them
I did not like this latest episode AT ALL. Don Mancini has gone too far. If they cancel the show at this point I'd be happy.
Keep doing these reviews!
Where can I watch Chucky free?
Im really enjoying the wacky parts of the show. Is it going to keep me on my on my toes I don't know what's about to happen
it had to be on the jennifer tilly side because so many people were braying for glen/glenda and the only way they could have been introduced independent of jennifer/tilly is if they had also been at the catholic school and one of the kids had been a potential romantic interest for either lexie or jake or both. father bryce is so stuck on devon and jake being gay, but i'm so sure that even though they are room mates that they haven't even touched each other besides a kiss.
It’s so obvious they’re going to have good Chuckie the Bible thumper turn against Jake once he finds out they’re gay.. lol 😂
It's a little too goofy for me but it's entertaining
I hope they turn more sinister in the next season a la original Child's Play trilogy and Curse of Chucky.
The three main characters also have very little to do imo.
They're just sort of stuck, only at the end of the last episode were they doing something interesting.
This season has been GOD AWFUL. Last season was bad but entertaining but this is just boring imo. God bless the people who dig it tho
I also dislike Seed but I actually find this episode, this season and the tone it's going for really fun. Idk what the difference is that's making me love it but idk. The campiness really works for me where in Seed it didn't as much
This is so crazy Chuckie is back😮
er yeah its stupid beyond belief that the kid would become protective over chucky after it murdering his family and friends . its another case of crazy movie logic
I agree I hate seed of chucky it’s so horrible
I get ya not wanting to review every episode but not gonna lie... I come straight to YT looking for your opinion lol
I absolutely loved this episode, it was so crazy lol
Yea that seams like all i can eat is soup
I think they did a Apocalypse now tribute
I'm like you in that I prefer the old school Chucky for the Child's Play series. This show is quickly dying a terrible death as Mancini is venturing way too much into Bride/Seed lore for my liking. The more hammy Jeniffer Tilly in this show, the less I want to watch. Season one was fine but Season 2 has been pretty awful.
The show is going a little too far for me. I haven’t even watched episode 4 and 5, and I don’t know if I will.
Same
I love this show. Now Glenn/Glenda is awesome. Can't wait to see how it goes. 😂
Actually I like how you are reviewing each episode. Now I don't have to watch this trash while I'm still getting to keep up with the lore.
Also congrats man on hitting 100k!
This show is so good
