As a congregation we mourn the passing of the Lord’s servant, Dr John Douglas.

He was a favourite preacher among us in Newtownabbey. Most recently, on 17th March 2024, he preached at the Lord’s day evening Soul Winners Convention meeting. He preached upon the theme - The Words of the Soul Winner.
He was the last to leave at the conclusion of the supper and time of fellowship afterwards. His fellowship in the Gospel will be sadly missed by us as a congregation. Some of our members were converted under his ministry. We all have been edified and blessed through his preaching.
We rejoice in the abilities and insights into the Word of God that God gave him. He was a man who knew the Bible, having studied to show himself approved unto God.

We do remember his dear wife and family circle at this time of loss and pray that the Lord will continue to comfort and support them.
