    Thank for the video man! Just did this on my 93 4Runner. Quick question, when I took my old switch out there was a little bit of oil on there, that normal?

    Is this why my reverse lights aren’t working? Bulbs, fuses and other lights are all good.

    So I have a 96 t100. I am assuming it will be much the same on my Toy? I cant find any videos specifically about the t100.

    Hi I have 1995 toyota pickup 2wd standard and when I took out the reverse light switch but oil came out from there... is there suppose to be oil in there? Thank you

    Aren't you supposed to check first if the new switch is good? How do you know if it's not defective? It maybe new but not all new parts are in good condition. You should have tested it with a continuity tester.

      I suppose I could have tested it but if it didn't work I would have just taken it back and had them give me a different one. Can always just plug it in and push the button to see if it works or not =)

    any idea what the female plug end is called? Mine is gone and I have just the wires there, can't figure out where to get a replacement to plug into the sensor.thanx

      +jimbob I would take the male end down to Autozone or O'reillys. Just tell them you need the female connector as its probably on one of their shelves and they will tell you. I'm not sure what its called though

    don't tell if is on the top of the transmission or side o well!

    • @dorianwaite12
      @dorianwaite12  7 лет назад

      On my truck it was sort of in the middle on the higher end of the side of the transmission. I should have taken a farther shot back when I made the video. Sorry about that. Otherwise the switch is not that hard to find. Took me about 5 seconds to find on mine even though it was covered in dirt and grime.
