The flashback with the villains was actually the cut prologue of the villain arc, since the anime changed the whole thing into a flashback in Season 5. Shigaraki's lack of a response to Spinner's question was due to that being the moment Machia first arrived.

After watching this episode it hit me how much Deku had grown. Back in season 3 when he met All for One for the first time he was petrified with fear. Now not only is Deku ready to fight AFO, but also yells at him to shut up. I'm proud of our broccoli boy.

Season 7 will most likely release spring of 2024. Due to it usually taking about 12 months between each season, and that since this most likel will the the final one. BUT it might be delayed because the current arc is still being written so only time will tell.

Believe it or not I'm not convinced season 7 will be the end. Horikoshi still hasn't finished Deku vs Shigaraki yet and we're well past 80 chapters from the end of season 6 . I believe it could be season 7 then the story finishes with a grand finale movie. Just speculating 🤔

@@keeganbrown9967 Not that im rereading the chapters your def right. Idk about the movie though because mha isnt known for their in story moviesm like what demon slayer does. And a movie would be a bad choice because then it would be even more delayed and then by the time its released in other countries people will have probably spoiled most of it. As well as it would be such a bad marketing strategy due to some views literally might not be able to go watch it in the theaters.

@@keeganbrown9967 no after the content covered in season 6 we have a total of 67 chapters ahead of season 6 and more to come and seeing the length of the chapters they cover about 17-19 episodes so it is possible that season 7 might just be the last but we'll have to wait and see . But if taken the last two big fights left and two small fights left plus the aftermath ... ya a movie could take place

And thus ends off the war arc. And what an insane battle it is. And we have reached my favorite arc in all of MHA. Finally beating out my old favorite being the final exams arc from season 2. I’ll leave it at that, we still have this finale.
So the scene they were reflecting on is actually an MVA scene that had been cut due to….sighhhhh the Uraraka episode in season 5. (Have I mentioned I don’t like that episode? I don’t think I have!) This came RIGHT as Spinner became a greater focus, and I gotta admit, I thought that was really cool timing. The show realized they couldn’t give Spinner the proper Yamcha experience. And gave his big moment back for this arc. And now with the CRC, they have thrown in a bit of political nuance as well. They’re literally called a clan, so that tells you who they are and what they do. Up til now MHA has only shown villains as people down on their luck that have run out of options or twisted people forged by their quirks. Not this group. I’ll avoid going any further before I go on a tangent.
I loved the feeling that without AFO they just couldn’t get the traction they desired in early seasons. Shigaraki’s rise to take the empire was put on hold with AFO’s defeat and that’s why they did so little until the Doctor and Machia found them. (Machia finding them being the reason this scene ended. And the 3 months of training began IMMEDIATELY.)
Now the only major MVA scene missing is Redestro’s commercial. But considering his current importance at this juncture in the anime…I’m not too upset. And if he finds a way to be relevant, I’m sure that’s their chance.
Mr. Compress makes a final gambit to escape. He has always talked about how combat is not his specialty but trickery, deception, and escape strategies are. He has never gotten the chance to show off what that meant until now. The only other notable action was kidnapping Bakugo AND Tokoyami near silently. He’s always wanted the stage but he never had it. And we get his heritage, AND his demonstration for who he is. Ripping his costume…and everything else in the process and managing to draw attention in the best way he can as he pulls fast ones to get everyone off the field “safely.” (Hard to say that looking at the injuries but you get the idea) Which honestly impressed Best Jeanist.
With his face reveal he speaks of his great great grandfather (so likely around Destro’s era) and we at long last complete the trifecta of major villains. Oji Harima. The final villain that Gentle Criminal aspired to be on par with in fame. The immortal AFO, the liberation leader Destro, and the peerless thief Oji Harima. Needless to say, but it’s a BIT less important than the other two, but you GOTTA have a Robin Hood SOMEWHERE right? It’s still cool to see.
Touya and Shoto wrap up their showdown…and Touya shows just how much he messed around too. The MOMENT Endeavor passed out punching Machia, Touya says “Well that’s no fun” and IMMEDIATELY knocks out Shoto. That is CRAZY. And if I may continue the star analogy, if Shoto is a red star and Touya is blue, Touya might not burn as long, but his heat, light, and size is so MASSIVELY larger it kinda blots out any light Shoto can emit. One blue star can blot out hundreds of red stars in the night sky. The only thing a red star can do more than a blue one is last A LOT longer.
Now that the villains are all shuffled around with Mr. Compress acting as a form of bait to stall for the Nomu, Spinner proceeds to wake Shigaraki by placing the hand on his face. But Shigaraki doesn’t come forward. AFO does and commends Shigaraki for gaining such good pawns. And…bit of a thought experiment. Since that hand brought forth AFO and not Shigaraki, that has me question what the hand has been doing the rest of the show. That hand is no different than it was in season 1. We can make a guess whose hand is strong enough to survive all this chaos even Endeavor’s Prominence Burn among Tenko Shimura’s family. And it’s the one that we have to question most why that hand is even there. The 5th mystery hand from season 5. And if that hand belongs to who I suspect, I have to ask the most mind boggling question you’re going to hear today. Who is Tomura Shigaraki? (Unconfirmed speculation just to be clear.)
AFO has this INCREDIBLY unsettling nature around him as usual. And he IMMEDIATELY sets apart and I can’t believe I’m saying this, how much Shigaraki cares about the league. They function like a family and accept one another for who they are regardless of pasts and goals. It’s a place of belonging. But AFO? He treats them like chess pieces. I sacrifice my pawns and my rook so the king can survive. (Machia is a fitting rook analogy) I can get other pawns to the end so they can be my new better pieces. But you do NOT question the king. The Dark Empath personality is my vote for the most terrifying personality trait. And AFO is without question that personality. And I will remark when AFO speaks to Deku, he says not his speed, not his strength, but his tenacity and will are All-Might levels. (The only known villain witness to All-Might’s maximum power.) I think that’s an understatement of the century since I whole heartedly think his will SURPASSES All-Might. And even at a 100x DISADVANTAGE Deku survives AND continues to resist even in THIS situation.
Final note for AFO, in the manga he calls Shigaraki the future king. Which is an AWESOME double meaning. And I make this analogy for anyone that uses people like pawns. If you control pieces, that makes you king. The most useless piece on the board. You have no potential to become better, your movement is limited at best, and you fear everything around you and surrender the moment you get cornered. Congrats, you’re who you have always dreamed of being. A coward. AFO it’s LESS applicable as he’s no coward, and he unlike chess kings is anything BUT useless. But it is for Shigaraki who he appears to want to shackle.
Then we have Deku’s new quirk. I saved this for last. I remarked the 4th quirk is likely another quirk All-Might awoke. Now that we know what it is, we can discuss it. All-Might uncovering the 4th’s past is still freaking impossible and that is what makes Danger Sense so likely to be the case. It’s Spider Sense. (At the very least it becomes the broken Spider-Man variety when the prime is involved. Currently it’s less clear but we can assume it’s not at its best with certain limitations.) For All-Might I’m going to tie it to his feat of completely suppressing organized crime. From what we know, All-Might functioned pretty much solo on the field, with Nighteye as intel. And staff taking calls. This setup, no matter how well it’s used, is impossible to make that suppression to occur. It doesn’t matter how fast and strong All-Might is, if intel doesn’t reach him as fast as he uses it, AND it being dependent on what’s called in, All-Might can’t use that speed and strength to get that to occur. Not unless he has a radar that informs him when something is awry on the field. That’s where danger sense comes in. If that’s the case, that would explain how only Endeavor with 30 on field sidekicks AND himself WITH the full resources of a police station working in tandem can beat All-Might’s cases solved. They and no one else. This quirk is the simplest solution even if it’s unconfirmed. There remains one quirk I want to accuse All-Might of awakening but that will wait.
This is a great episode, and it finishes off this arc REALLY well. As usual, there’s no winners in war. Ever. We see what everyone has lost, and only one person goes unaffected. We’ll wipe that eyeless smile off what remains of his face one day.

The scary part is that the heroes basically got the jump on the villains and had hard counters for a lot of them due to preparation. This battle essentially started as a best case scenario. And they still lost. Shigaraki waking up really flipped the board for them. But that aside, let's get to some analysis.
"Shigaraki, I swear I'll-" (Deku's last line to Tomura in the manga. It's assumed he said save you.) The anime might flash back to this moment eventually and include the line. Because I assume it'll be important considering Deku's line about how Tomura looked like he wanted to be rescued.
"Shigaraki. You've done so many bad things. Hurt so many people. I can't forgive you. I can't forgive you. And yet, back then, when you were getting swallowed up by All For One, that look on your face. You looked like. You looked like, you wanted to be rescued(Needed Saving)"
Compress saved his team. MVP status. Shigaraki started the chaos. Dabi put on a brilliant show. And Compress came in for a glorious finale.
Some people were on the fence about Deku wanting to save Shigaraki when this plot point initially happened in the manga. But I'm personally all for it. There are definitely turning points in a lot of the League Members lives. But I personally feel like the two who definitely are the least at fault of their actions is Toga and Shigaraki. We learn from Midnight back in like S2 that there's a thing called quirk counseling that helps kids or people who have quirks that make them or their personality unstable. Quirks have an impact on personality. All Toga's parents had to do was teach her a healthy alternative or provide some sort of support for their daughter instead of just calling her a monster. But they didn't do that. And as a result, she is now reacting to her quirk's basic instincts. All because her parents couldn't take a few hours out of their day to help their child control her quirk.
Tenko's backstory was a complete accident. Everyone aside from his father was a complete accident. I understand Kotaro had his own trauma, but you never should take your unresolved trauma out on other people. Especially not your own child. The solution to pain is not beating your child or leaving them outside for hours on end where anything could happen to them. Tenko thought his dad hated him because all he did was say or do horrible things to him. That doesn't excuse what Tenko did to him, but also, children are prone to reacting emotionally in moments of intense emotion, but almost always regret it later once they've calmed down. And we see that Tenko regrets what happened as he's wandering the streets. His brain is so traumatized that he blocks out the memory of what happened. If anyone else had reached out when he needed it, things could be different.
But nope. The worst person imaginable comes to him and spends the next 15 or so years grooming this 5 year old traumatized boy to believe that his trauma was a good thing and to embrace his hurt. A lot of people in the story commented that Tomura was childish towards the beginning of the series. And that's because his trauma and AFO never let him grow up. So while I do like the aspect of Tomura moving up as a villain as the series went on, I also feel like his upbringing and the sick, twisted man who took advantage of this poor child with nothing is also important to address and I'm glad Horikoshi, the story, and Deku decided to highlight this.
