Math Rock Arpeggios So You Can Twinkle Like Toe

- Another two guitar harmony idea based around twinkling arpeggios. I tried to make this one a bit less lengthy / easier to play. The concept of two guitars twinkling with motion / rhythms going in a similar direction is a very Toe / American Football esq technique imo. Hope you enjoy learning this one!

I don’t know why we can’t be friends anymore but at least I’ll have more time to practise my arpeggios.

Will accompaniment be provided when joining Patreon?
I notated both of the guitar parts if that's what you mean! Posted that on Patreon a few days ago.

Hey man was wonder what your opinion was on what’s the best style guitar for math rock and Midwest emo
Telecasters are notorious in both the math rock and midwest emo scene. However, unique sound can come out of any body style, so don't limit yourself when it comes to choosing.

I mean, my favourite is a telecaster. I've owned a few other Fender single coil esq guitars and the tele has been my go to since 2014. It just pretty much does everything I want to do and when I play another guitar, I find it just doesn't do the job the way my tele does.
just comes down to your favourite one aesthetically ngl any electric is capable of nice sounding cleans
but teles / sgs are the emo-est guitars if your using that metric
do you have any videos on how to stack multiple guitar together without it sounding "off"
thiis. would generally love more videos with this style of playing, the arpeggios and the ethereal depresso mode harmonies in this are so good
Could definitely do a video on that, but don't have anything on that right now
I would love to see a vid on writing two parts
Try imposing a relative chord over top of what you want to harmonize, for example if i wanted to harmonize a Cmaj7 i would play an Am voicing over top usually with extensions like the 9th and 11th. This works especially well when arpeggiated. You just need to figure out the relative major or minor key. Another one i really like is harmonizing the I chord with a Lydian scale built off of the IV, in the key of Cmaj that would be playing a Cmaj voicing and on top playing an Fmaj7#11 voicing. One thing to really consider with this is the intervallic distances in each chord, try out heaps of different voicings and you'll find one that sounds sick.
@@DenCxnt wow this is really really informative and i can't wait til i can get around to playing with it. thanks a bunch!
Nice!
Here's a fun fact: Police dogs are trained to react to commands in a foreign language; commonly German but more recently Hungarian.
