Wolong has done such a great & amazing job at protecting, breeding and preserving the panda species. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, we could continue to have the joy of having this cute and wonderful species with us in this world!
Awwww that little bear pissed over the place KAWAIII no seriously wtf. When i was little i always wanted a panda as a pet. It took my mom allot of trouble explaining me panda's couldn't be pets. It would have saved her allot of trouble if anyone had just shown me this
Now, I can see why this preserve has taken on a more active approach to baby panda care. In the wild, the mother panda usually takes care of one baby cub at a time, not the runt. I heard that Woolong specializes in a sort of timeshare for panda mothers to care for the rest of the baby pandas by switching the cubs. This combined with more human techinques has ensured more panda cubs surviving in captivity... not an wasy thing to do back then and even now.
I am also curious about the actual survival rate of these cubs. I heard it's been improving gratly enough that they have a genetically sustainable panda population in captivity. But sadly, wildlife habitats for the panda is still threaten with deforestation. :(
Yes, this is Jin Yi. I had adopted her since 2007. Her death is quite a tragedy. She was the 100th cub of Wolong and became the 1st victim of toxoplasma
This cute darling baby has grown up to a beautiful panda girl. But she died in the morning of February 7th, 2014 due to neglect of ZhenZhou zoo in China. Her name is Jin Yi.
Because she is too young to pee by herself. Her mother bore twins, and she takes care of the other baby who was bigger on its birth. So human takes care of the smaller one.

toxoplasma is caused by dirty living condition and negligent care in the zoo where Jin Yi lived.
Thanks for the info!
This panda baby's birthday is 6th Aug. 2007.
She is in the Study Center of Wolong Natural Reserve, China.
