I'm with some of the others regarding the front end - something just doesn't please me about it. Rest of the bike is absolutely beautiful though, particularly the blacked out engine and custom work on the pipes. 8.5/10 for me
Great looking bike by deBolex! The cafe racer style suits the 1100 Scrambler very well. I agree with you on the front turnsignals, personally I would have prefered the Motogadget M-Blaze disc bar end turnsignals. I wonder how this beauty will sound with that custom exhaust. I've got a black 1100 Scrambler myself since last year and I realy love it.
@@motobob clip-ons probably make it easier if anything to route the wires threw although it might be a little harder to hide them but I've seen it done on several bikes even in combination with bar end mirrors.
I’m not disagreeing - just interested. Where would the cables exit the clip ons? I believe you normally drill a hole in the middle of a set of regular bars between the bar clamps
Looks far, far better than the original scrambler. The only changes I'd have made was to add a small, black? belly pan and not painted the seat hump yellow! Look again, it seriously looks like a birds beak from the rear! Overall, 8.5/10
I read that the owner of deBolex is into his vintage cars so that could be the reason for the yellow. Like an old lotus or something. I dig it. I think it would look too plain in red
I’ve come to disparage street café as much as straight-line cruiser motorcycles; there’s something equally dysfunctional about both styles. Too much conceit not enough compete? I’m not sure. But, I have to say I really like the way the tank’s pinch-weld is either integrated or eliminated (can’t tell). Is that an OEM feature or bespoke? In any case, well done!
9/10. Love what Debolex does every time. Just don't like the mismatched color scheme. I see white, red, yellow, grey, black not including the different metal shades. Just a lot of color going on.
Yeah perhaps if the saddle matched the black of the motor. But the colours have grown on me after editing the footage, and perhaps a black saddle wouldn’t have looked distinctive enough
It doesn't quite work as a cafe racer for me. It's the same as the 800 version, the lines just don't quite make for a clean cafe racer. (personal opinion of course) It's just a bit too stretched out looking.
I’m not a fan of the Cafe racer look, tbh, and this hasn’t changed my mind. For me, the front looks wrong, like there’s something missing, like it’s too minimal. The exhaust seems out of place also - maybe an under slung road race style would look better? Looks like it’d be really uncomfortable to ride with rear sets and low clip-ons. I’m sure it looks better in the metal, though. Andy 🏴
Yeah it’s definitely not an everyday commuter. I get what you’re saying that it looks a bit unusual in parts, but I think that’s what I love about it. There are so many Scrambler/brat customs that all look the same at the moment. deBolex have their own style
You’re right about the scrambler/brat look being done to death - makes it really hard to come up with a new look. But that’s what separates the winners from the also rans 💪 Great content, keep ‘em coming 👍
Generally not a fan of this kind of thing, this one looks ok though except, for some reason it looks like the bikini fairing is a bit low. For me it's a 7.
I see what you mean - the top line is a bit lower than your avg cafe fairing. Looks good to my eye tho - it definitely grew on me the more I looked at the footage while editing
This is the best 1100 scrambler I've seen.
Agreed! Looks the business
9/10. Fan of deBolex art works. Just missing the screen on this beautiful headlight fairing.
Yeah I can see what you mean. Their other Scrambler cafe conversion didn’t have a screen tho so maybe it’s a stylistic thing
10/10 beautiful, nearest bike to the CCM foggy special. Love it 😍
I can see what you mean - a similar feel
Nice looking cafe racer. Clever where they put the front brake and clutch reservoirs. 8/10.
Such a tidy job isn’t it. Wish I could hide the sticky uppy brake res on my Street Twin...
7/10 a cool custom with some really neat details.
Lots of nice touches, I agree
I really like it. I used to have a 1100 hypermotard with the same engine.
Really no need for more performance.

Yeah the pipe work is 👌

Yeah the bar ends look cool but I’m not sure how you’d route the cable with clip on bars?

Not sure about the colour choices but overall looks good. 8/10
Yeah a few folks not that keen on the grey and yellow. Personally I like them tho

@@motobob don't think it would look good in red either. Think I'd have gone with white, like on the old 888 ducati!
Oh ok fair point - white would look 👌
Top video too man 🙌🏼👌🏼
This bike is 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed! Must be a hoot to ride

Don’t think they would have had time to do that on the tank as it was a 3 week project if my reading serves me correctly. Looks neat though
Can one buy this?

9 solid 👌
I like it 8/10
Nice😁👍

Thanks DH. Appreciate it
This bike looks confused or is it just me....café racer or Scrambler? For me it’s one or the other! 7.5/10
I don’t think it looks anything like a Scrambler anymore, apart from the name?
MOTOBOB I have to say though from some angles it’s a great looking machine.
This is more like it.
Nice.
Bikes now for sale on eBay
8/10 . Looks good..but a tiny bit bland in my opinion 🤔
Yeah it’s definitely quite low key. But when you see it next to a stock Scrambler 1100 it really looks quite different
