I've been learning so much recently on how the government is financed ,the public discourse far as these topics is concerned is a very welcome topic right now. Ruto alisema wajinga wameisha hii kenya .High time he should heed his own advice.
No country in the global south has developed from IMF and World Bank loans. And it's also accurate to say that countries which have borrowed from these institutions have a myriad of economic problems, Argentina is an example.
@@mmwaapamghambonyi7836🤦 the loans that have put us in this mess were from uhuru's regime of which most of them were stolen largely by the morons we have in govt right now. Then these morons come and tell us they'll tax us more yet we've not been seeing where this money is going other than there extravagant spending and your 'intelligent' assessment is Kenyans are wrong for not wanting to pay taxes. Of course. You see, we are only starting to peel the layers of the establishment. This goes way beyond the GoK. But this is where we begin to push back. This is when we resist the system, micro then macro, inshaAllah.
If at all a comprehensive audit of the revenue collected during the last financial year could be availed to the public, there is no way to tell where the money borrowed went. We just see our politicians moving around in G wagons. Now they want to collect more
I thank Almighty God as the young generation a..k.a aGen Z has been monitoring the government. This youngings are learned and have done their thorough duties to investigate the conditions. I believe that this Gen Z are tired of listening to empty promises. The middle class family has educated their children, in hardship or affording. So the Genz who have seen their parent suffering to educate them , some even having to differ coz their can't afford funding their education. Some food for thought
@kiariejohn410 I have been educated by my parents by them hustling for 4 children being in high school. All we prayed for is to go through high school, hii ingine we hustle for ourselves. Mungu ninani here iam . Iam great greatful, I have seen the goodness of the Lord 🙏
@kiariejohn410 you got me wrong, ia.m for rejecting the bill coz as I have explained myself previously, parents are suffering out here trying to educate their children. I have given myself as an example that my dad had 4 children in high school as am from gen x . We struggled and most of us had to differ to pave way for our younger siblings. Bearing in mind family planning then was something....
I agree fully that the Kenyan people should pay taxes in order for the government to provide services and growth the economy. My biggest concern is whether the individuals within the government would be transparent, honest enough and have integrity to ensure accountability. If Kenyan saw tangible improvements from their taxes across the country and services, then, then tax reforms would be welcome.
We can't. Money 100 dollars takes a few cents to print but we have to work to produce value of 100$...we Chase something that is printed.... it's financial slavery and it's everywhere
If you go and collect money from elsewhere, apart from IMF where terms and conditions are less tity then Kenya is most likely to lose that money from the corrupted regime because of the lack of terms and conditions from the lenders
The problem is not taxation the problem is accountability and transparency. If you become a manufacturing country like China then you will be able to tax more, same can be said for agriculture.

He seems to have forgotten that fact 😅😅
Why is IMF trying to regulate Kenya. Do they do that on developed nation, they are causing kenya citizens to be overtaxed.
We can never have financial prudence and transparency with the current government. Never. We must have a new government.
Omtatah for president
He will still be a puppet to IMF if we don't deal with IMF....they'll be manning us for 100yrs
A new system. hii imeenda
What happened to cutting expenditure??? Why the focus on raising revenue???
In order to steal

Asolutely no country.
"A borrower is a slave to the lender," said a wise king. We have no sovereignty if we rely on IMF for financing budget shortfall.
