I like how this recipe is so easy to make even if you're broke. Also enjoy that the chef doesnt feel like he is above using 30 cent ramen and its seasoning.
Looks delicious as always. When I make chicken soup it takes 2 days because I cook a whole chicken in a crock pot overnight which causes the onions, celery and the connective tissues in the chicken to dissolve, the cartilage to turn to gel and the bones to partially dissolve and it makes a really great broth. I also use Inn Maid fine noodles which cook quickly so I add those after i remove the bones (or what's left of them) and cook them with the stock and meat in another pot. Give it a try. it's really good. Of course I season the broth when I cook the noodles with basil, thyme, black pepper, salt and a clove or two of garlic (which I grind into a paste with the back of a knife on my cutting board) I've never thought to add ginger but I'll have to give that a try. Thanks and see you next time!
I wish I could give you an exact recipe but I adjust the ingredients to taste and measure nothing but here's a rough outline of what I do and guesstimations on measurements. To a 6 quart crock pot add: 1 whole roasting chicken 1 1/2 cups finely chopped celery 2 medium onions (about 3" diameter) finely diced (2 or 3 finely diced carrots are optional) Fill with water after adding solids. (about 4 quarts} Cover and cook on high until simmering Reduce to low (not "warm") cooking overnight or about 8 hours The next morning (or after 8 hours} turn the crock off and let cool enough to handle Drain liquid into a container and set aside Remove bones and skin from chicken Add water or chicken stock to increase total volume of soup stock to 4 quarts In an 8 quart pot add the broth and meat with : 1 rounded tbsp. dried basil (more or less to taste) 2 rounded tsp dry thyme (adjust to taste) 1 or 2 cloves fresh garlic mashed into a paste with side of knife or in a mortar and pestle salt and pepper to taste Bring to a boil and add 1/2 to 3/4 bag {about 4 to 6 cups Inn Maid fine noodles or any noodles you like or 3 to 6 cups of long grain rice can also be used if you are glucose intolerant (6 cups makes a pretty thick soup Stir and reduce to a low boil and cook covered, stirring occasionally until the noodles reach a desired texture (refer to instructions on noodle or rice package for cooking time and taste for tenderness. For rice reduce to simmer and omit stirring. Taste to test doneness and simmer longer if needed) Remove from heat and serve. I hope the measurements are close. Enjoy!
I guess flour, water, egg, and baking soda are difficult and complicated ingredients? Nobody missed anything - people are just giving constructive feedback about what content they want. Nothing wrong with that. We still love Hiro and the channel, we're just letting him know what we would like to see... and based on some of Hiro's responses to other comments, he's going to give it to us.
Justin SOME are giving constructive feedback, the rest are just complaining. And regarding your sarcasm, the ingredients aren’t complicated or difficult on their own, but putting them together in a recipe can be for some.
Point is this dish is simple to make, it's not about hard or easy, it's SIMPLE. Using flour eggs baking soda etc.. would increase the effort in making the dish, it will be more time consuming and overall more tedious, yes it would be more delicious but this dish by itself is pretty good without all that hassle and it is simple to make to boot.
I learned, long ago from my grandfather, that the dark meat was SO much tastier than the dry white meat from any bird. I lived on instant ramen all through college and love it to this day. Thanks Chef!
i consider myself an instant ramen master myself but the one tip i got off this is to boil the noodles separately...never heard that one before...love all ur videos guys...i watch u guys while i eat my meals at the computer (super nerdy i know, but it nowadays it's cool to be nerdy lol)
Hiro Terada, I have a fast food restaurant and I havent come up with the Japanese food style yet, but trust me that I have made many different kind of sushi I learned from you. Next month I will introduce in my business some kind of sushi that I have seen in your channel :). I have made Ramen from chicken, too before and I can see that just like sushi, Ramen is a whole world, too. Thank you for always teaching us. You are my favorite Japanese sushi chef!!! Doumo arigatou Gozaimasu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! greetings from Dominican Republic
wow! now that looks like some good hearty soup. For all of us normal cooks, who do not know how to make ramen noodles, I think this is an awesome idea to use the packaged noodles. Thanks Hiro and Camera man! I think I may have to try this and see what the kids think of it. Looks, like the title says...Simple enough. Thanks again
I love Ramen noodles. No matter how it's made! It's comfort food! My favorite is the one he's cooking. Veggies, chicken, noodles, and broth! Yummy!!!!!! I'm wiping the drool off my screen Chef!
Perfect time for this recipe! It's the first time this year that it is snowing down in the valley in Utah. 💜 I'm going to be making this for dinner tonight for me and my family :)

Good afternoon to my favorite chef Hiro. May you continue to excel in all that you do and surround yourself with positive people who are also role models like just like you. Please don't ever change and have a happy, healthy and prosperous life.
Hello chef 👨🍳😀 love your videos, just a small request. Can you put the recipes at the end of your video? I’m learning how to cook and it’s hard for me just eyeballing the ingredients from Your recipes. Thank you 🙏 and more power.
I love how the camera man takes the piss out of/doesn't give a damn about the haters who talk crap about cooking live fish etc.... Hiro cooks all of his fish in the most humane way possible, and he does it brilliantly!
I will definitely try to make this. Is there any way you guys can do strips of tuna steaks for a meal or tilapia for a dish. Thanks for the awesome videos
i like how Hiro portion the food exactly the same for each bowl. I get very angry when my friend ordered the same dish but have more garnish or vegetables.
Master Chef, another amazing dish! Love it, and it works with Shrimp and Crawfish bothe make their own amazing flavor and just must try it with both of these. Do add heart of celery though to crafish. I think you will be suprised at the flavor. I make a sauce enough for ricce or ramen noodle. Love it on well made sushi rice. If you please could you do cideo instructing in detail proper sushi rice? I know you may have but surely a update might be in order? I hope im not out of line thank yoi for all you give us here. Thank you Master Chef...
Wow,,looks really yummy You know,, you have to slurp the soup when your eating.. that's the Japanese way of letting him know the soup is very delicious😋😋😋
Chef, Am from India. I like most of your videos. I also brought kariyaki sauce to cook like you and also the cutting skills. Appreciate if you could include some Indian flavors. The guy who's giving commentary also great. Looks his English accent like British. Good work. Keep posting more vedios.
What knife are you using in this vid? Seems like a cheap one and not your regular high end one. My christmas present to me this year is the Minonokuni Ume knife. Pretty excited! As always, love the vids!
Thanks,I'll make this..been attempting some homemade versions of Ramen , suggest ditching the package noodles for some Japanese imported,at your local Asian grocery.,taste is more like a Ramen shop. Ramen broth is the trick, this soup looks simple and good, maybe hirayuki please could go over some tips for making a little more challenging Ramen shop shiyu style broth? Realize ,pro Ramen takes long time , days,to make just curious abot something that might resemble that
Ok so I came home from work tonight after watching this in the morning and asked my wife if she wanted ramen. She said she was starving so she would heat up leftover pizza in the oven. In the time it took her to heat the oven and the the pizza. I made this. The only difference is that I didnt add potato and added fresh spinach in the end and a soft boiled egg that I cooked with the noodles. The wife was jealous!! Btw it’s not snowing in Colorado but it is cold. It might be snowing in the mountains but we would never know because the highways are too packed to get there :(.
I like how this recipe is so easy to make even if you're broke. Also enjoy that the chef doesnt feel like he is above using 30 cent ramen and its seasoning.

Some ppl missed the whole simple concept. Simple ingredients that you can find easy, inexpensive and nothing complicated.

Paty Gon most definitely it's nice to have a home cooked meal when you're on a budget
