  • Wetlands are the kidneys of the planet. Found all over the world-from river deltas, estuaries, coastal mud flats to floodplains, the Great Lakes, and even peat bogs- they are some of the planet’s most biodiverse habitats and are essential for human health and prosperity. Wetlands are also vital for mitigating climate change.
    For the Blueprint Series, Terry Townshend (Advisor, Paulson Institute) discusses the importance of wetlands, threats they face, what governments can do to protect them and their essential biodiversity, and how they help combat climate change.
