Wetlands and a Changing Climate

Wetlands are the kidneys of the planet. Found all over the world-from river deltas, estuaries, coastal mud flats to floodplains, the Great Lakes, and even peat bogs- they are some of the planet’s most biodiverse habitats and are essential for human health and prosperity. Wetlands are also vital for mitigating climate change.
