  • As questions come my way it's painfully clear that there has truly been a massive influx of new shooters to this industry. Unfortunately as is the case with new shooter, knowledge doesn't come in the box with your blaster. You have to get it from experience or an instructor. The question then becomes who do you listen to? Well, to put it bluntly, you can listen to me, I won't steer you towards something you don't need. Case in point, here we have an adjustable gas block. This is one of my two favorites. I'll do a video on the second one at some point in the future. For now let's talk about the Superlative Arms Adjustable gas block. This is my 10th blaster equipped with one of these and have no intentions of stopping now. These gas blocks are easy to install, easy to adjust, and thus far I've yet to have one carbon lock on me. That's saying something because I actually shoot my rifles. AR-15 of today are not the properly gassed rifles of just a few years ago. There was a time where all manufacturers followed the proper specs for gas port sizes and rifles shot like a dream. Now all, ALL barrels come over gassed because manufacturers have to deal with the crap show known at WOLF Ammo from Russia. That garbage has destroyed this industry and forced manufacturers to over gas their barrels so that the weapons will run on that under powered trash ammo. The problem arrises when you're a guy like me and you invest money into high quality ammo that won't destroy your blaster. By the way, yes, steel cased ammo will kill the specs on your rifle's chamber. I know this for a fact because a friend once came to see me to help diagnose issues he was having with his blaster. After an exhaustive series of tests we discovered that the WOLF Ammo had so badly deformed his chamber that the gun was key-holing rounds in as little as 50 yards. Yeah, that's beyond bad. Well guess what the same thing can happen to a rifle that is unlocking too fast. It will begin to round out and open the chamber because the casings are still under pressure when they're being extracted from the chamber. Solution? slow the gun down with an adjustable gas block. Watch and learn folks.
