I'm no gatekeeper and I don't know how to define "the spirit" of the early 80s hardcore but this band and a few others undeniably have it.... and that gets a.... FUCK YES

If you're watching/listening to this and like it then your not old. No matter what age you are. I'm pushing 55 and all i listen to is stuff like this and anything else hard n heavy. If I was at this show I would have been baggin my head and moshin as hard as anyone. Actually this crowd is kind of taking it easy.

It’s one thing for a drummer to be a hard hitter, and it’s another for him to write creative parts, and it’s another for him to hold the entire band together with time, but when he does ALL THREE…he’s a DAMN good drummer.

Is it possible that the amps were just at a nice volume for the drums and their sound recorder was set at such a level that none of the drums distorted?
Been to many local "underground" punk shows and can confirm these workshop shows are the loudest and if the levels are proper they sound so crisp when miked.
It warms my 51 year-old punk heart to see you kids skanking it up proper. Grew up with Minor Threat, SOD, Sick Of It All, Cro-Mags, etc. Watch out for your brothers and sisters in the pit and I'll die happy knowing this scene is still out there kicking hard as ever. Great fucking band.
Yes, but this crowd is f***ing boring. Smartphones everywhere instead of enjoying this concert. There is no difference to watch this concert on TV. Also not a good moshpit just a handful of fans who really live this culture. Sad

Great band. Seeing the dancing reminds me of the punk gigs in the UK in the late seventies. I would be going all set. Now I am 65 , nodding my head to the first two bars and I am knackered. Thanks hate for the video.

This takes me back to a show I played in one of my old bands, at a volunteer firehouse. . They didnt move the regular stuff that was in the meeting area out, they just moved it to the perimeter of the floor. I play drums so there was just a mountain of crap in boxes piled behind me. Good times. This looks like a blast!
Way back there used to be hardcore shows at a mechanics shop in Waterbury, CT. Hatebreed and shit. There was even a stage. Sometimes it was empty, other times there were fucking tires and jacks and shit.
It's part of what makes it exciting. Which is harder and harder to do as time passes.
@@Cheeseburger.Launch.Sequence Yeah I feel like venues like this are dying out. Other than maybe the "boho", or "artsy" area of cities, every other club wants to book ADTR, or Beartooth and make a killing. Leaves smaller bands out in the cold. The scene in my city died like 5-10 years ago. Its sad.
