Yes! And I so wanted it 😭. But it was for the best I didn't get it I guess. As someone would point out, there are so many sheeety games. Quite enough in the library of games would've been a waste of money.
Originally had a copy for the SNES, and later got the Genesis port along with my sega nomad and have got to say I preferred it more especially with the added r/c car level.
When you're fighting Buzz under the truck and he does his spin jump thing, you can still trap him in the tyre if i remember right. It makes the fight a lot quicker if you time it right. Also the DOOM inspired level used to scare me as a kid haha. I had the SNES version which doesnt have the level where you control buzz to escape from Sids room, i didnt know there were different versions.
The scud section looks more brutal than the one on the on the SNES version. Also, the phantom buzz is different from the SNES version as the laser is longer, he actually moves around, and has way less of the orb things.
I don't know if it was the lighting, the sound effects, or who knows, but I just always remember this unsettling feeling this game gave me as a kid. Still played it quite a bit (or at least watched my brothers play since they were older). But there was always just something odd about how the game looked and sounded. Idk if i'm alone on this
DAMN!!! I had this for Super Nintendo. I remember That First Boss Fight, Only One I had the patience for Lmao. Damn that Nostalga. Glad to see more the game! Makes me wanna retry it, FINALLY.
Escaping from Sid's house there must've been going in circles or they multiple stairs and kitchen drawers and stuff. Note: rather drunk when I commented.
If we're going to count the leader scenes, Woody was going to be a full-time a****** a bully to everybody else. If we're going to count, delete it seems
Had a little trouble with the Buzz boss (the one with the tire)? I could practically hear the swearing from behind the screen. Which, honestly, I understand. I grew up with this game, and even I have to admit the hitboxes are garbage.
A nightmare version of Buzz as an original boss would have been an awesome and fitting addition to the game. It would add a unique twist and really ramp up the tension for a final showdown. Nightmare Woody could have also been an interesting and challenging final boss.
@ Tin Toy is the one from 1988, while Toy Story is from 1995, yea they could pull it off, because Scud the Bull-Terrier is in this game, but for humans, all they have to do is animate their legs walking by.
@KenMasters. I was saying the genis . Not sure if there is market for that today and it wouldn't use toy story one but four. Even back in the 90s they had already moved on to toy story 2
Now that sounds like a good Toy Story game for that time. It also make sense as it can follow the plot of the movie. Can't believe no one in 1995 thought of that, but then again, the 90s is where 2D platform games are the most popular and was the norm.
The jawbreaker scud boss battle is the hardest one and even the final one is way more harder than the scud one also why the truck box didn’t say eggman in here
I totally agree roller bob's stage in the game definitely feels more like a challenging platforming level rather than a traditional boss fight. There's no big enemy to take down at the end it's more about navigating through the obstacles and making it to the finish. It’s a tough stage for sure, but calling it a boss fight does seem a bit misleading. It’s just one of those intense levels that test your skills in a different way.
The first 3 bosses you fight I can understand…scud and the moving van are just not bosses as they don’t even have health bars and you can’t damage them
yeah, for SAMPLING it's not great, but everything else about the genesis is pretty great for having started the 4th gen, and SNES showing up around two years after the genesis with a spec advantage
These are nice looking graphics for a Sega Genesis game.
I always felt like developers push the genesis to its limits
One of the people who worked on this game has a series called Coding Secrets where he talks about how they did the graphics
In was on the Super Nintendo too I remember playing it
@@HyperTechify Agreed. I love it
Not really the graphics are horrible

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ LIGHTYEAR TO THE RESCUE
Never got to play it but I remember seeing the previews for the game on Disney vhs tapes .
That's where I saw those Previews

This game's soundtrack is quite great. Proof that Genesis sounds great on hands of capable people.

Hey Buzz, we missed the truck
We're not aiming for the truck!
So smooth animations more than cool spot, i love it!
Great video Great videogame Great youTube player
Thanks 👍
0:56 buzz being bigger than woody is cursed
That's why it was a nightmare boss fight.
@ based on the deleted scene
Omg I remember seeing commercials for these but never got to play them! Thanks for posting!
Any time!
Only made it to the racing part, could never beat it.
This is Sonic with the extra steps
Dang I remember burning this one up back in the day! If you could beat buzz under the truck... you were abadass in the pre-school days
How many vacuum cleaners and stoves did Sid's mom need?
All of them
Wow, a puppy.

The graphics are too good to be on genesis
I’m surprised you made Buzz Battle one look easy. I played this on vhs. It was pretty fun. The sound was a little different than in this video.
The memories. Not just the game but in general. As kids we need to cherish those times more 😢
I had this on the SNES. Was the final game I ever got for it. Was about 10 or so, if I remember correctly.
Final Boss Scud? SNES only
I never knew this game existed. I grew up watching Toy Story 1. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome!
I remember playing this as a kid. It’s harder than it looks. But fun.
I was already thinking to myself, "how the hell is a little kid gonna beat this"
It's a writing to the danger zone and the writing to the danger zone
Those bombs were totally touching the skateboard in Sid’s house lol
😁👍

No joke, this was a hard game! I loved Toy Story as a kid and I am so happy I played it on Sega Genesis!!!!
"You don't wanna be in the way when my laser goes off."
Boy i just know how frustrated id be with that tire missing him so much while it clipped through him and his animations lol.
I need to get and play this and other games again. I remember having a hard time on the race card level. Where did the time go?
This was a great game! I hated the Pizza planet level, but I loved the design of it.
This game was nails! I remember the claw being so damn hard.
DAMN!!! I had this for Super Nintendo. I remember That First Boss Fight, Only One I had the patience for Lmao. Damn that Nostalga. Glad to see more the game! Makes me wanna retry it, FINALLY.
Damn they really pushed the graphics on the Genesis to get the gameplay so smooth.
I remember playing this game with my cousins when we were younger
God i hated the Claw fight
5:00 when those claws appeared it started becoming anxiety-inducing
Escaping from Sid's house there must've been going in circles or they multiple stairs and kitchen drawers and stuff.
Note: rather drunk when I commented.
This was my favorite genesis game
This game starts easy and happy to then turning dark and difficult as you are progressing in the game. My childhood ❤
Mine too!
STOP!! You’re making feel Old!! I haven’t played that game since the 90s when my best friends mom rented it for us from
Blockbuster
I remembered playing the demo at Sears. #Memories
I wonder if the level skip/invincibility code from the SNES also works on this console?
This video game is amazing and cool
This game gave me so much trauma. This and Lion King on snes.
5:39-7:16 was always my favorite part of this game.
No hitting the Sid house is bananas
so fun your player here disney 's toy story 1995 sega genesis game - (no damage with ending ) - on mega drive !!!!
The level being chased by spike was always hard for me 😂 good times
No way claw machines. That good. Let's cap
Do anybody remember this? This happened to toy story. I remember this but I don't remember this. Is this Canon?
Yes, you just forgot.
The game is literally all that happens in the movie so yes its canon? The Nightmare Buzz battle is actually taken from a deleted scene.
If we're going to count the leader scenes, Woody was going to be a full-time a****** a bully to everybody else. If we're going to count, delete it seems
I remember accidentally hitting some buttons that made me invincible for the rest of the game. Haha was able to beat it then 😅
😁👍
The damn claw machine was tough.
Core memory unlocked
Oof the audio is so much better on SNES 😅
Original Version is More Harder by Extra Racing Stage
Here it comes!
they should make a Toy Story 2 and 3 verison of this game
Had a little trouble with the Buzz boss (the one with the tire)? I could practically hear the swearing from behind the screen. Which, honestly, I understand. I grew up with this game, and even I have to admit the hitboxes are garbage.
Think Sega will get pissed
So many memories
I played this when I was younger
But was this made with Silicon Graphics computers?
😁👍
I have this game for sness dam i forgot how intense the boss fights where lol
they could make a nightmare version of Buzz as an original boss but not a nightmare Woody? that would have been a good choice for a final boss

Hey! You're not Tom Hanks!
😁👍
@bossesandfinalrounds Watch out, watch out!
If someone said to me that Buzz Light-year is a scary video game boss I would laugh, not anymore
I wish I played the Sega Genesis.
A Toy Story video game would've made more sense as a puzzle-sandbox cooperative game with survival-stealth levels around humans and animals.
Well if they could have pulled that off in 1988 that would have been crazy. Today that could work but the genis came out in 88
@

Where has the time gone boy I feel so old and I'm almost 30 next year in April
So no fooling this does mine everybody from Sonic Woody stare

This 16 bit game looking a little more 32 bit .
Interesting that it’s different than the SNES version
I had this game when I was 5 and couldn't finish it
So? We have to play with the bad guy?
Pinocchio is also really good
I don’t see how roller Bob was a boss fight since it’s just a regular stage where you’re not fighting an actual boss
I totally agree roller bob's stage in the game definitely feels more like a challenging platforming level rather than a traditional boss fight. A lot of yall sleeping on the Gensis. I'm okay with being an outlier.
I never made it pass the claw level. I have it on Snes.
I never understood how to beat the level with sids toys…still can‘t beat it😢
The key is to stay patient and try to learn the patterns.👍
Hard Toy Game.
The first 3 bosses you fight I can understand…scud and the moving van are just not bosses as they don’t even have health bars and you can’t damage them
They feel more like challenging stages rather than actual bosses.
scud and the moving van are just goal or true final boss
This is a glitch, this isn't possible
I had the Super Nintendo version.
The sound is bad.
Genesis soundchip for you
Yeah the SNES audio is so much better
yeah, for SAMPLING it's not great, but everything else about the genesis is pretty great for having started the 4th gen, and SNES showing up around two years after the genesis with a spec advantage
