Nice vid, to fully remedy the water in the footwell it would be worth taking the door panel off as it's well documented that the fabias suffer water ingress through the carrier panel seal riveted to the door. The seal perishes, it's recommended to dry it out and seal the panel with sanitary silicone sealant. It's very common as all mk1 fabias were 4 door so it affected every one. Would be good to see you tackle that 👍

The B pillar clip you show is very delicate, and cannot be removed without breaking it.
The clip has also been discontinued by Skoda so is only rarely available as old-new parts occasionally on eBay when dealers find them.
Typically they ask about £12 each for them, so be very careful not to break the ones you have!

Hello Harvey. Skoda parts is the site where i always go confirm parts codes before ordering. My last diy repair was the throtle body for 145€ last month. Fabia keeps strong.

This has been a long-standing problem on my car: to try and work out the source of the problem I taped the back door shut with gaffa tape, and also along this seal (covering the small gap on the 1/4 glass as you note). Looked bonkers, but who cares - my car, dude. Made no difference, even though the door was effectively sealed shut, putting paid to the idea the leak was associated with the rivetted inner door panel seals.
After several months of this, the problem remained. What I did notice on the opposite side is that the big, one-piece rubber door seal in the body aperture did not have any drain holes: rain getting around the front and back door apertures seemed to run down and around the seal, accumulating at the bottom where it pooled and came into contact with the door trim and the plastic kick plate covering the carpet in the interior. It then soaked into the surrounding carpet. There was a clear "tide mark" on the bottom half of the fabric door trim, starting at the bottom.
Since the carpet is a one-piece moulding, the footwell area becomes a "bucket" and this water collects: I was having to soak it up with rags and use an electric dehumidifier overnight every day.
I'm going to try this, but don't hold out much hope - would love to hear about your results, good or bad before I try the next experiment. I am going to very carefully cut a couple of small holes at the bottom of the aperture seals to allow this collecting water to drain away, instead of pooling. It's going to be expensive if it doesn't work...
Another great video, keep it up! 🤓👍

Don't rule out the inner metal panel foam seals, they do get soaked and I sealed the bottom third with silicone, removing the foam seal and replacing it with silicone and then over-sealing the gap - WORKED. I also believe you could be onto something with the pooling of water on the bottom of the door body. It could be that a capillary action is going on bridging the seal onto the fabric panel cover and subsequent carpet. This could happen when the car is subject to freeze/thaw action. Frozen water expands to open a gap in the seal and then slowly melts leaking inside the car. That's my latest theory :-)
