We used to have a 5220 , a 5130 and an 1896 case on our farm. They were all really good tractors. Nice to see these tractors still going. Unfortunately my 2 older brothers took over the farm and sunk the ship. I still have my own little tiny farm and use all old 50s to late 80s equipment except for my loader tractor which is a 2wd drive CaseIh 55a .
We used to have a NH 717 Supper with 9 knives. We ran it with an AC 180 and we had 2 IH chopper wagons, a 105 and a 110. We’d run wagons with a Case 930 Comfort King and fill silos with an AC 5050 running a 54” Kools blower. That was over 25 years ago when we stopped but I sure do miss it. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work!
I had a 3588 2+2 pulling a Gehl 1075 chopper and H&S 16 ft twin auger boxes. One year I used a 7220 2WD to chop corn for a few days while waiting for parts for the 2+2. It had just a little more snot than the 3588. Retired 4 years ago and sold my equipment to my nephew. He is still using it on his 90 cow dairy farm.
The 7100 series made CASE IH a legitimate tractor company. When these tractors came out it was very common in my area for farmers to buy a MFWD Magnum and use 2wd Deere’s for their rowcrop. In 93 I had a neighbor that hit a lick and he bot 2 brand new 7140s and 2 brand new 4455s in the same day. Red for doing the nasty and green for doing the dainty
We use a New Holland 790 forage harvester powered by a New Holland TM 140 tractor to chop haylage and corn silage. It's a combination that works well for our dairy herd.
Wish I had never traded in my 7140. Had just over 12,000 hrs and was not once ever in the shop! It was the cheapest tractor ever ran on my farm. Paid for itself year after year. This new one always seems to have a sensor somewhere going bad.
Repeat sensor replacement is often a sign of a fault not being correctly identified to its route cause. Treating the symptom not the cause. But yes, sensors (speed, temp, NOx, pressure) don’t seem as robust as they should be.
I chop haylage and corn with a 1000 rpm NH 790 chopper from when they were still Sperry NH. Main tractor i run it with is a IH 986 and if needed a Ford 7710.
@@ottoneidlinger4938 When they first came out they were advertised as 7 foot + 4 inches wide. Gave them extra capacity over the standard 7 foot boxes of the time
You can chop faster with the new hollands than with the deere choppers. Used to chop with a john deere 7810 with the deere chopper. Deere has a slow intake capacity compared to the fp240 and new Hollands throw into the wagon better.
Nice vid as always! Wow all the way up to 17 thousand pounds, not even our Massey Ferguson 7619 weights that much even with a round bale in the front loader and a second one in the back with a bale fork
BTP, did you know that the Magnum 71 series tractors can be spit at the transmission and will bolt right up to the front section of the International 88 series tractors.
Another tractor to do an internet search for the the IH 5388 prototype replica. It is a 7100 series magnum rear with a four post ROPS bolted to an IH 5488 front end, just with a little trimming of the engine enclosure tin to make it fit. Otherwise, the story goes, the engine bolted right up to the transmission as well as the connections to all the gauges. There are also images out there of a Case International 5488 ( an IH 5488 with Case International decal and Magnum style cab. Search "Case International 5488 Prototype".)
I have an IH history video on the way featuring every tractor lined up from the Farmall Super MTA to the 8900 series Magnum that will mention this. It would have been interesting to see IH introduce the new FARMALL series that included the 5188 to 5788 and Case offer the full 96 series.
Gotta love the boxcar magnums...one of the best tractors ever built, and the thing that sold people on Caseih
Its my favorite tractor on fs19 lol
The 7810

There's not a doubt in my mind that those magnums were simply the best tractors to ever roll off the assembly line.
The box car models are like the modern Farmall M. They are solid and just keep going Year after year.

We still have our 7220 Magnum. It’s our family’s favorite tractor. Does all kinds of chores with it.
The 7220 is one of my all time favorite tractors.
Aw I love the 7120 spent countless hours in the cab of one of those. Just solid tractors

The 7100 was a game changer.
Wish we still had our 7120. What a smooth running machine. Lot of good memories running gravity wagons during the corn/soybean harvest
Great to see those RED tractors still working these days !!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
They are solid tractors.
wow this video takes me back love the sounds of a pull chopper.
Still nothing like the sound of a JD pull type chopper though.
The jhon deere
sound a little different and better

Love the Magnums! I bought a 5240 little brother this past summer and love it! Keep yo the great vids!
Wow, very similar set up to our own. We run a 7210 fwa on a fp240 and and 5140 hauling loads

I chop with a NH782 bought new in 1981 and powered by a 1979 IH 1486 with front wheel assist filling a 20x60 Harvestor silo with halage each year.
Very cool. FWA IH 86 series are in the rare side.
I chop haylage and corn with a 1000 rpm NH 790 chopper from when they were still Sperry NH. Main tractor i run it with is a IH 986 and if needed a Ford 7710.
Very cool. Sperry New Holland was a great time in farming.
I have a 1 64 scale tractor that is a case magnum and is a 7130 I’m thinking about getting a 7120 . Man those old magnums though I love how they look
😁👍👍
Both of those tractors have a beautiful sound
Boy I like the smell of cut hay. We used to cut and bale Sudex if I spelled this right and it smelled good when it was drying out. Great video.
Beautiful farm land. Great equipment. Thanks, BTP
Thank you for watching.
We use a 7220 front wheel assist, John Deere 3950 chopper, and H&S 14 foot 7+4 wagons .
Very nice.
H Turbo on the H&S wagon what does the 7+4 mean?
@@ottoneidlinger4938 When they first came out they were advertised as 7 foot + 4 inches wide. Gave them extra capacity over the standard 7 foot boxes of the time
Perry Pavlat thank you very much for answering my question.
Great awesome video, love that 240 chopper , great forage wagons

Not very often can you hear a turbo whistle on a 7120!
I love this set up

I still remember as a kid climbing up in the cab of one of these magnums and thinking I was in a spaceship. haha.
On our farm we have a 7120 with front wheel assist
Very cool. What jobs does it do?
We have it disc and it pulls a gravity wagon in the fall and sometimes it plants its a cool machine i really enjoyed the video
We still use our 790 new holland harvester , works great , but upgrading soon it’s getting tired ,
I had a grandpa that chopped corn with a white 4- 150 or an Oliver 1850
Very cool.
We use a ih 1066 on a new Holland 770. We chop corn and hay
Enjoyed this very much 🇺🇸👍👍🤠

👍👍
could you come up to alamo michigan to video some case ih quadtracs i work on a farm with 4 of them
Citric Acid, I was wondering how they keep it from molding.
Using a CIH 781 for corn silage pulled with 7110.
Very nice.
That's an "awfully purdee" setup you shown there!
Nice Video.
Thank you for you watching.
How many tons will that wagon hold
$175,834 for the 2WD model is a bit pricey, but still fairly cheap today, and $194,319 for the 4WD version still seems a tad bit expensive
The 7120 2wd was $75,000 and the and Fwa was $83,000. Today the smallest Magnum is 180 hp and starts at $238,000.
My uncle had a 7110 four-wheel drive
😁👍
Magnums were bulletproof that's y they switched to mx series they weren't making enuff money off us
👍👍😎
👏👏👍👍🚜🚜🚜🚜🇧🇷
