Day-old rice refrigerated is best for fried rice. Fresh rice will be stickier in texture.
I love seeing Julian helping you in the kitchen! My boy is only 18 months but he is so interested in my cooking and so wants to help!
Aw so cute! He loves it!! I bet you’ll have a little helper too!
Some really great ideas
Thank you!
I do not get why some folks flip out over Ramen! Millions of us eat it and make our own sauce minus the seasoning packet! Julian was INTENTLY watching you roll up that Caesar wrap. He’s so cute and patient with helping you. (All of your boys are darling.) thanks for the great recipes, I saw some I am going to try! I am a faithful viewer, 75 years old and still learning!
❤️ I think everything in moderation right?! He’s a great help and always focused on learning. You are always here for my videos and I really appreciate it!
my mom is a retured nurse and is cosntantly fussing about my oldest daughter eating "so much" ramen but my daughter NEVER uses the pouches. We save them and donate them to her friends who do. I dont get it either..she actually only eats about 20 packs a year, I KNOW because I gift her 20 packs for Hannukah every year and that is the ONLY time she gets them.
I love ramen but lately it's been Knorr bouillon and egg noodles instead. I also add cream of chicken to it. I cook a lot sometimes.
My mom use to Make boxed Mac and cheese with tuna and added a can a drained diced tomatoes. I love it. She called it Tuna-Mato-Mac.
I love the name!!!
I learned to get the most out of stir fry rice, to let the rice cool down /refrigerate before adding into the hot veggies. This will crisp up the rice in the end!
Yes! This is definitely best! I’m just impatient lol
Thanks for all the ideas! I struggle so much with pantry cooking and using it up. I just keep getting more because it’s on sale, etc. I have two deep freezers full and two huge pantry cupboards. I try for a week or two, and then I back at the store.
Same!! It’s an addiction :/
You have to break the buying it because it’s on sale habit. It’s not worth it to buy it and it ends up expiring or getting freezer burned. Shop your pantry and fridge, then meal plan around that.
You can do it!!!
Chicken Pot Pie Casserole notes: If using canned chicken check the label. Most liquids in the can are just broth, don't throw it out. Add it to your other liquids for additional chicken flavor. Shy on chicken? Make up the difference with a can of garbanzo beans/chickpeas. Don't have a biscuit or crust for the top? Top it with mashed potatoes. Even a simple instant will work nicely. If you'd like, you can top the potatoes with cheese, similar to a cottage/shepherd's pie.
Yum! Such great ideas!
I like that goal of making 3 meals per week from what you have in the pantry.
Yess! It’s a game changer!!
I have been cooking out of my pantry and freezer for a few weeks. These recipes are right on time. Happy New Year 🎉
I have been making your chicken pot pie casserole since you posted last year or the year before! It is my toddlers favourite food of all time, he asks for it at least twice a week and even for his birthday dinner! If anyone asks his favourite food he always says chicken pot pie 🥰
Oh my gosh! That is so cool and great to hear!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I feel like I’m always on a pantry clean out. Guess it’s not a bad habit to have. Thanks for the ideas! Try fried onions on your chicken/ broccoli/ rice casserole for a little crunch. We too are surviving the cold that never goes away.
Yum! Great idea!
Excellent video!!!
Thank you!
All of these could be my menu for the next 20 days. Yummy!
Perfect!!!
A chef in the making!! Good Job, Julian!!
💯
I see that glass of wine at 30:23! You go girl! I always pour a glass of wine when cooking dinner! Feels special. 😂
I've been battling a nasty cold for the last month. I hope you're feeling better now.
Aw get better! It’s tough out there!
I have the same cold
My son had a big blanket like that back in the day
Aw! We will look back on it fondly, I know.
Awesome video, thanks Maria ❤️❤️❤️

Great video! Thank you for sharing ways to cook from the pantry! 😊 Be happy your son drags the king size blanket. My brother-in-law toted around a pancake forever and a day! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
lol oh my!!! 😂
We like to stuff chicken salad into red bell peppers sliced longwise.
Yum! Sounds good!
Bibigo products are very good.
Do you have a cookbook?
I don’t but I do offer a monthly meal plan! It’s 40 recipes from me each month! www.mealswithmaria.com/meal-plan-order

I make fried rice when I have to use up veggies.
Perfect!
just curious why did you say dice the carrots....... what did you mean by that when you used the term dice there? thanks ahead of time
It was just a mistake. I meant slice, sorry!
hey new to cooking , and i have a question? you said on your chicken soup to dice up carrots? to me i thought dice was to cut into squares or cubes? but you sliced these? could you tell me if dice has a different meaning than cut into squares or cubes? What is dice to you? Thanks
Ah yes, technically you’re correct! Dice is more like a square and slice is more accurate for a carrot! I’ll keep that in mind! Sounds like you’re already well on your way to being an expert!!!
@@MealsWithMaria thanks. have you ever had dice to mean cut only and not squares?

Hey... Cook your rice and let it go cold. Fridge overnight!! Then use for this recipe. Add soya sauce
How disappointing 😞 I tried to get the chicken tortilla soup recipe from your website but it was a no go. Sigh. No matter what I did, the link you supply would only allow me to buy your menu plans.
Hi! Here is the tortilla soup recipe on the website: mealswithmaria.site/canned-chicken-tortilla-soup/ if you want the rest of the recipes here is the link, I just tested it ❤️ myworkspace7636c.myclickfunnels.com/stick-to-your-budget-checklist-oi
Thank you for the links but I'm afraid it still won't give me the recipe on my phone. Just the plan flyer appears. But I did try it on my tablet and it worked! 😊
@@SAN563-bq2tjI just tried the link on my phone and it worked fine. Not sure what type of phone you are using?
