I bought that album when I was so much younger. It became the soundtrack to my divorce at age 21 with a year old child. I never looked back 'til now lol
Kinda a funny story, I had Willie’s Roadhouse going on while my granddad and I were out looking for a part for a car and this song came on. He instantly lit up and was pretty happy to hear that his 29 year old grandson was listening to this great tune. Song has stuck for me
i listen to the outlaws album in 1974. i was 20 yeaes old. i loved it then. i love it now! waylon, willie, tompall glaser and jessi colter are dynamite! i love them as much today as i did then! love, susie q
it was a great pleasure to find someone who feels the same as i do about this great country music! this is ''priceless'' music! i really enjoy it. have a great evening. love, susie q
I have to agree with you and we are very close to the same age. Like you, my affection for these artists has only intensified with the years. Actually, I think I have more an appreciation of them now though part of that may due to age. Fortunately for us, we were lucky enough to witness music that mattered and became timeless. Thanks for commenting and listening
Wore this album out twice along with' Red Headed Stranger.' Only Dwight Yoakam comes as close to this authentic Americana True Country sound. This is like the original Route 66 to me. Best part of my memories. Thank you for your excellent taste.
JUST AS GOOD AS GOLD!!...Thank you soooo much for posting and sharing this "rately heard anymore" lil' country ditty that peaked at #36 on the charts back in June of 1976...I thoroughly enjoyed it!...(and the sound quality is first-rate too!)...Take care!! :)
Funnily enough, while my dad turned me into a classic rock fan, my grandma also really turned me on to classic country, and this is our song. I liked this song before even realizing that Skynyrd did it.
outlaws album is all good them o'l boy's were real outlaws in country music scene around about shortly after i was birthed lol i remember a lot of these songs coming up in mid to late 70s and early 80s lot of good music from that time
I know the feeling. I was 7 weeks old when James Dean died and that s the reason I am just a crazy mixed up kid, lol lol lol lol. I was born to love bad boys with a good heart
This is the music I grew up with. What they're calling "Country" these days...just isn't. Off now to "Put Another Log on the Fire" and enjoy "The Wonder of it All."
Aaaaaiiiiieeee. Damn I miss the South. Born Yankee by birth. Raised Rebel by the Grace of God. Thank you God. These are some pantywaste partiers up here. They can't have no fun ever. I'm 60 an don't drink and they still bore the crap out of me. I miss the bonfires an letting loose an the cops didn't phuq with you cau you wasn't stupid to do shit to bring em out on ya. Well mostly. Cops let you let loose as long as nothing got tore up. Man those were the days. Had the best and purest drugs then too. This crap today is deadly.
I can get more women than a passenger train can haul. My ex laughed jokes on her she still hasnt found a man .she split 30 years ago n i found a great woman.id rather drink muddy water than look at my ex

Tompall Glaser and his brothers were backup singers in Marty Robbins recordings with orchestra in the 1960’s
Lord I miss Waylon. So many musicians, all genres, that made such great contributions are gone. Soon we'll all be gone too. Quick as a match burns.
I really dig his music !
Wicked section ! Drums and bass are SOOOO FUNKY!
Funnily enough, while my dad turned me into a classic rock fan, my grandma also really turned me on to classic country, and this is our song. I liked this song before even realizing that Skynyrd did it.

The only country album that ever mattered
Susan Kane In your hopefully humble but somewhat overvalued opinion.
There a bunch other Waylon albums that matter in my opinion
I agree
Its the only one we ever cared to listen to in the 70's. Still listening to it today. Blaring in my car as My 14 yr old looks totally bewildered.
