Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Having a good entry and exit strategy will make you succeed in the stock market.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

Generally speaking, a good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisor in planning for retirement, For over the past 5years, I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $1million in gains… might not be a lot but retirement doesn’t seem so farfetched anymore.

The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

It's sad how difficult things have become in this recessive economy. I was wondering how to utilize some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to protect my $150K-worth stock portfolio from decline, but haven't figured which way to go.

Very difficult indeed, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. You have to learn and handle finances properly. you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows. Don't go for penny stocks.

Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

Thanks Mate, the sad truth is that no one has a clue, we all react to what happens as it happens and try to analyse it but can’t predict an iota of what is going to unfold in the markets… content creators are like amplifiers, when times are good they affirm it and try to tell you why it’s good and that it’s looking bullish but then all of a sudden the market turns bearish and everyone affirms it again and try to analyse why… it’s so sad that many are so powerless and it's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 11Bitcoin in the space of a few months... This is a fantastic interview! Peter Schiff's insights on the current economic situation are invaluable. His warnings about the looming recession and the potential for stagflation are sobering but necessary. I'm particularly interested in his analysis of the job market and the disconnect between the official unemployment rate and the U6 rate. It's clear that the economy is in trouble, and we need to be prepared for what's to come.
However, I'm curious to hear other perspectives on the situation. Do you agree with Peter Schiff's assessment of the economy? What do you think are the biggest risks facing us in the coming months? And what steps can we take to protect our finances? Let's discuss!

I foresee a recession lasting 2-3 years, and if inflation continues to surge, the Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates soon. Inflation is causing various issues worldwide, such as food shortages, scarcities of diesel and heating fuel, and significant spikes in housing prices, leading to a potential financial market crash. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300,000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.

Let's be very clear about one thing. The "market" has been massively wrong on what the Fed should do with the funds rate for at least 2.5 years now. In early 2022 before the Fed even started hiking, the market was already forecasting rate cuts to happen by end of 2022. The market at the start of 2024 had 7 rate cuts for 2024. Laughable to suggest the Fed is the one that has been getting this wrong. It has proven out that they were right to start hiking in early 2022, aggressively ramp up that funds rate, and then keep it at the terminal rate until now. Also, the Fed on numerous occasions has stated that a recession will likely occur as a result of this hiking cycle. The market consensus has been no or soft landing, which is another thing they will be massively wrong on...........I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 140k to a decent 539k....I'm especially grateful to Adriana Jensen whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

@@mikeb5372 Usually I would agree with you but Peter is a financial advisor. Peter's financial advice has been so horrible that it's fraudulent financial advice in my opinion. What he says is hypocritical and nonsensical so I think he's not just bad he is a lying fraud.
Bitcoin solves so many of the problems he's been talking about for so long but he throws out all his principals when it comes to bitcoin and claims it's worthless. He ignores good old supply and demand when it comes to silver. Miners dump tons of silver on the market to satisfy it's physical demand. That's why it trades more like copper. Yet Peter sells it to ignorant customers as a store of value. He constantly talks about too much money being created, yet he says everything is in a giant bubble that will soon burst. Except gold and silver. Somehow they're extremely undervalued. Anyone with a little common sense knows that inflation is high so markets go up.
He has been saying the dollar will collapse soon for decades. It's absurd to think that the world's reserve currency will collapse soon. Many other currencies will collapse before the dollar. And when the dollar finally does collapse it will be because of bitcoin, not gold. 100x on gold stocks and $30,000 gold he called for is ridiculous.
He has been dead wrong on all his major predictions year after year, market cycle after market cycle but he doesn't care. He only cares about the huge premium he gets on his silly gold coins he sells, giant fees he gets on his funds, and the quarter million he gets per podcast.
