Visiting The Farms I Learned How To Work On In The Early 90s, Last Winter.

I put a flannel shirt on and drove over to visit my friend and his cows. It takes big bales to be a beef farmer, it takes a lot of TMR too.
The tractors are bigger and newer, the feed and the fields are better than ever, and the plow sits unused. But it’s relatively unchanged in decades. The simple beauty of these well managed and maintained farms (3 locations with several miles between each) still amazes me even after 30+ years. This is where I learned to operate machinery and pull trailers (plus countless other life lessons) starting around the time I turned 12.
