The fact that nicole wanted cara but just settled with laurel is just weird to think about, i bet that has something to do with why they don’t mess with each other anymore.

I just saw Cut Throat on Pluto. I totally forgot all about her behaving that way. I only noticed Sarah after she kept getting the short end of the stick with partners year after year, so I felt a little bad for her and always thought she was such a cool person... But dayum, she was straight up a bully on that season, then she fell on her face in the final. It was pretty cringeworthy and satisfying at the same time
My favorite moment of this beef was on Cutthroat when Laurel and Sarah called Cara the weakest girl and then Sarah threw up and didn’t finish the final and Laurel was crying and wanted to go home while Cara didn’t complain.
Edit: I can’t forget when Laurel thought she beat Ninja and then ended up losing the elimination.

Laurel never really liked Cara, she just felt the need to protect her off of instinct, and they created a bond through Cara's trauma. Maybe deep down it's because Laurel knew that she herself was different, and would like for someone to defend her in the same way. But once she helped her become strong and confident, the bond expired.
I'm a little stoned but that is the most eye-opening statement I've ever seen.

Well laurel claims she's bisexual. I think she's actually a lesbian and probably had a crush on Cara and liked when she was the "protector" and Cara was the hot mess. Once Cara evolved into one of the best female competitors and grew a back bone it lost the original structure of the relationship. Since cara was nicole's first pick I think laurel stoped talking to her out of jealousy and is no longer "above and/or protector" of Cara
@@shuntley23 Nah, Laurel actually couldn't stand Cara in the beginning. She didn't start defending her until I think midway through their third season together, when they got paired up on rivals.

No one hates her just cause she has a "backbone" no it's the fact that she's so toxic and puts people against one another. And no, if you watched the new season she was on, she literally started a fight with Jordan and had turbo get angry at Jordan over a lie she and Ashley came up with... If she could just be a team player and not keep hate around the house then I wouldn't have any issues with her. But I do like her outside of the show, but in the show, she is very very toxic and hard to watch. I wish the best for her tho.

Also she started drama once or twice but who on the show hasn't... bananas does it every episode but no one says anything...its scripted so there has to be drama without it no one would watch. Also I loved the fight between turbo and Jordan, mainly because I don't like Jordan on or off the show. Imo the people that are "very very toxic" is jordan, laurel, hunter, Camila, and Amanda. Cara is not even close to being as toxic as them.

@@eerroottaa Laurel FORCED them together. Kam did not talk to Cara Maria or Paulie before the show. She talked to Kayleigh. That was her friend. So she had a cross team alliance with her being on the UK side. First episode, Kam saw the lay of the land, and proceeded to implant herself into Paulie and Cara Maria's situation. Seeing as we have seen Kam's strategy in seasons after this season, its clear to me that Kam probably didn't have an alliance with Cara Maria. They are cordial but not close. She is far more likely to have people she is friends with as an ally and then she goes into the season and adapts. She really doesn't hang out with many of these people outside of the show...except for Leroy at this point.
@@fizzychizzy Kam had an alliance with Kayleigh who had an alliance with Dee who had an alliance with Wes who had an alliance with Cara Maria/Paulie lol. They were all connected on both sides and when Wes was on his high horse bragging about how he can do whatever he wanted to the US team he thought he had all the numbers. Too bad for him but Laurel caught up to his plan and was so close to switching the whole game if she took Ninja out. If Ninja was out they would’ve had the numbers but bc Laurel lost Cara and Paulie had the numbers. Laurel didn’t force anyone to do anything lmfao. There were neutral ppl on the US team (Ashley, Josh, Leroy etc) so there was no reason for them to make alliances with the UK team unless what Kyle told Laurel was true (and it was).
I wish they showed Laurel ripping into Paula and Wes for bullying Cara on Rivals, Paula got on my nerves

I agree. CT and Diem was an American love story. Even though they didn’t make it as a couple they were very good friends. They helped each other become better people all around better people. They had their good times and they had their bad times, but they always worked it out and came back together, as very great friends. They loved each other with a love you don’t get to see very often. I know CT will miss her for the rest of his life. I really believe they were true soul mates. I pray CT can find that kind of love again, I am pretty sure he feels like he was robbed of a truly happy forever.

I wanted to cry seeing C.T's face when Laurel said her name. I was on chemo treatments when the first Duel aired, so seeing Diem recover from her 1st treatments and shine helped me go through those treatments too. Some the challenges Diem was in were my favorites. (The Duel and the first Battle Of The Ex's ) were my all time favorites. Diem and CT were the real life 'A Walk To Remember'
Ct and diem are soulmates. 🥹💔 hits different knowing that they were back together before she got sick 💔

Rewatching all this makes me only love Cara more for her growth. She’s now one of the top competitors and Laurel just looks dumb for letting go of a friendship over some girl (Nicole) who chose her second after Cara.

Laurel did 6 challenges, Cara did about 13-15, so she should have won more than Laurel, given they started at the same season

I'm not a fan of Cara but she's shown some of the most growth and improvement of any challenger ever.
She's legit one of the strongest girls on any season she's on now both physically and politically.
She good physically but politically shes ok because she needs the right people with her and helping her why do you think she made it far this season because of the others politicking but did it work out for them in the end no because turns out they were stupid and chise weak people to take to a final

Many are saying Nicole ruined their relationship but in reality, Laurel did. Laurel let jealousy and her own insecurities get in the way of their friendship over a girl who was trash and cheated on her several times despite them saying they had a "good" relationship. Cara forgave Laurel so many times and has allowed them to rekindle their friendship but when it came to Laurel to do the same, she acts like a baby. There's a reason why Cara became the way that she was in her last season and it was because of people like Laurel.
im glad she got the confidence she deserved , it’s definitely deserved . i think when laurel and cara were teamed up , thass when she gained her confidence because they was doin good . laurel couldn’t stand that cara maria learned from her & felt the same way so she began to be really disgusting in this game . then the situation with nicole made it worse for cara as laurel continued that awful behavior . it’s really a shame . now in later seasons , cara has not become likable . if cara stayed humble while keepin her confidence in challenges instead of focusing on boys & trying to form a cult , she’d be like unstoppable .

I still stand by my belief that Nicole is a big reason why they are not friends anymore. She isn’t the only reason, but a big reason.
Not Nicoles fault I think it’s more about how they both reacted to Nicole being interested in both of them
I think we all can agree laurel was by far the most toxic out of the 2. She put down Cara and belittle her. Ended the friendship not once but twice and she still doesn't believe it was her behavior that was the problem. She literally made Nicole block Cara phone even though it was clear Cara was her first pick and laurel was the rebound.
the fact that she adamantly disagrees with how she treated cara proves either A) she really is so self-unaware and just naturally talks down to people (which i think is the truth) or B) she's lying to protect her image on camera. when she blew up for no reason during the invasion reunion, i just kind of lost respect for her. as a competitor shes great, but as a person shes meh.

I think Laurel has tunnel vision when it comes to competition and she doesn't care who gets got in the crossfire. All she's focused on is winning....my problem with Cara NOW....is that Cara is kinda becoming like that. That last season with Pauly had me looking at Cara crazy....she was SO mean and cold-hearted in the competition and she was NEVER like that before.

they’d both be much better off apart in this game . cara has spent most of the recent games she been on focused on these boys & has become a bitter person in the process . i’m glad she learned to be confident after bein harassed for so many years but it looks like she isn’t being too far off from laurel . like for example , when she & ashley started drama between turbo & jordan . or when she was makin rude remarks about tori & jordan’s proposal . or even using paulie to make kyle jealous , all of that just pile up & makes things worse . paulie would have been a lot more likable if he just stuck to himself & the big brother alliance . paulie isn’t a saint either after cheatin on his gf for cara then makin this whole big rivarly with kyle all because they dated the same woman . imagine if paulie didn’t take cara’s bait and stayed loyal , he & kyle would have prolly been good friends .
The ironic part is that Cara Maria ends up being arguably the best woman to ever compete on the challenge and laurel while a champion doesn’t hold a candle to Cara Maria’s accomplishments
Cara used to annoy me so much, but every season she just gets wiser and stronger. In the most recent seasons she sticks to herself, plays fairly, is never a sore loser or poor sport, and always chooses to be the bigger person. She’s also an incredible competitor. I really have a lot of respect for Cara Maria ❤️

@@marioramirez8672 no cara is good at physical eliminations and sometimes puzzles but if it isnt physical then cara tends to struggle in eliminations and besides crate choked in the finals unlike tori so who is really better when it comes to pressure

Why would Tori call Cara scared, in a season where you don't need to win an elimination round? I find it really funny how Tori who feels like she's a strong competitor has played a scared game the past two seasons when she was saying that about Cara on WW2. The confessional makes me laugh because for me Tori can't complain about anyone playing a scared game when she's done the same thing and will probably continue to do it.

This is crazy the girls used to look at Cara like a horrible competitor. She’s literally one of the best to play the game.
This compilation is the perfect example as to why Cara is the way she is now... People seem to forget her history on these challenges and want to focus on the force she's become now.. Always making her out to be the bad guy when she's been bullied since entering the challenge by people like Laurel, Johnny Bananas, Wes, Paula, Kenny, etc. I'm just really befuddled as to how Cara is always labeled the bad guy because she learned to stand up for herself and doesn't take crap from other people anymore. Her evolution on this challenge has been something to see... she went from being considered a weaker competitor to one of the most dominant forces in this game in addition to her multiple championships one of them including defeating men like Zach or eliminating a champ like Bananas ... all these past competitors are the same ones who want to reflect back on this Cara and say this was a Cara they liked yet look how she was treated. I've been a Cara fan since day one and I will remain that way I don't care what anyone says. The woman is a good competitor, has a solid following and then even better political game..she has her faults like everyone else but let's stop pointing the finger at her and acknowledge the role people played in whose she's become.

To be fair, prior to rivals 2, the only two finals Cara saw were when she was on a team with laurel (granted one of those seasons she was on was battle of the seasons and that team she was on was doomed from the start).

everything was perfect 😩
I actually enjoy how their bond evolved from enemies to friends through the seasons. However, now that they are not friends or close anymore, I am sad that their bond dissolved but I am not surprised because Laurel always seems to find a way to mock or trash Cara eventually. The Nicole situation also did not help to solidify their friendship because Laurel was constantly jealous and Nicole kept the flames of this fire going. Even from the beginning, Cara was only nice to Laurel.
Crazy how Cara was viewed weak on Cutthroat but was the only female to do more than 5 pull-ups on her season

How did they leave out the way Laurel treated Cara in Free Agents. To me that was huge to their rivalry. I would never be friends with someone after they treated me so poorly and said "this is how I am". I hate that about people

Laurel has been known for how badly she treats people. Eric and Cara on Cutthroat being a prime example.
We saw how Cara forgave her for treating her badly on Free Agents but then Laurel drops Cara for a relationship with a player who wanted Cara and took Laurel as second best. Their relationship ended after six months when Nicole cheated.
Then Laurel comes back in WOTW2 talking smack yet again about Cara, throws competitions and betrays her own team only to go home early.
I'm not a big fan of Paulie but I don't hate him either. He sees this woman trashing his girlfriend to anyone who will listen so he is firing back. I would want my partner to do the same.

This is an interesting video. I wish they would have gone more into the friendship they had on Rivals and the contention they had in free agents with the disagreement they had about Jordan and how Laurel was rooting for Jessica in elimination.

Their friendship ended in free agents. Cara had other people who supported her and had had enough of laurel putting her down all the time. In free agents, Laurel realized that cara was threatening her top girl status so took it out on cara instead of dealing with her own insecurities.
The Nicole thing was another reflection of that. Wanting to be seen as the top female overall, upset that she wasn’t viewed that way by those she wanted.
Laurel said it ended over Abram.

laurel has always been one of my favourites on the challenge . the way she doesn’t take crap from anyone , she’s a strong competitor . and in the beginning cara wasn’t one of favourites but as the seasons went one she became a favourite . finally defending herself and not taking any crap from anyone and she is one of the strongest female competitors as well much respect for her .
I love these ladies without a doubt!! My favorite competitors and I miss them soooo much. I wish they will come back too!!! I hate that they fell out with each other but I love to see that they both have moved on with their lives and both of them are living their best life!!! Their relationship will always be my favorite hands down!!!

AND I honestly believe Cara Maria when she said that Laurel was only interested in being her friend when she felt like she was superior to her and couldn't stand on her own. Laurel gives me the vibes that she makes EVERYTHING a competition even when it shouldn't be, especially among friends. That competitiveness works in sports and the Challenge but it is toxic to friendships.
It boils Laurel's blood that Cara Maria has stacked up more season wins then her. More final appearances, etc. I remember Laurel going on a rampage on Twitter before she did WotW 2. She is a bitter hater that can't be happy for others cause everything is a competition.
So she was nice to her only for a small portion of time. Really doesn’t excuse some of the nasty things she has said
Let's put this into perspective. Cara Mara in WotW2 wanted/hoped that all of the team would stick together so that they could get as far as possible together and then fight each other. The most recent season of the show shows what happens if all the vets work together to not target each other until the rookies get kicked out. While it may have been annoying to watch, it was absolute a show of strength and team work. Now...let's think about the fact that Laurel and Johnny were so DISFUNCTIONAL in WotW2 that they IMMEDIATELY broke the alliance of their team down to target people on their own side unnecessarily.
Exactly Laurel and Bananas started the bs in team USA during War of thee Worlds 2. And its like when u get diagnosed with cancer, u dont get told you have cancer (Laurel and Bananas) and give it time to spread, you cut it out immediately and that's what Cara did. Otherwise the cancer would have killed her game. That's just how I see it.

Egos. Their egos wouldn't allow them to work together. That would have been the easiest win ever. UK team sucked. Their only good player was Theo. Then Johnny has no problem working with Wes the season after? Smh. But Johnny was also butthurt that Cara was with Paulie.
I know you can say this about every single person who has been on this show, and I have seen them all from the very beginning, but Laurel has some very deep seeded anger issues and is a textbook case of extreme narcissism. I really hope she is getting help.

Their friendship, as Cara Maria stated was based on Laurel seeing her as the weaker one and needed to guide and control her. If you think about the friendship that was shown, it’s Laurel standing up for Cara right? Laurel saving Cara and speaking up for her. That’s what their friendship was based on, and when Cara grew stronger, Laurel didn’t like her anymore. Sad.
