I started watching this only this morning from his channel. I liked the perspective he took when explaining Islam's position. A must watch for everyone. Very clearly articulated.
I watched it. It’s really shallow and not a good look to make fun of diseases, not from Islamic conduct. This man is not, in my opinion, addressing the real need; instead he is making fun of these lgbtq people. He should focus on the Quranic and Prophetic examples of calling people to righteousness and worshipping Allah swt and avoiding sin. And learning how to cope with desire. I do not see intelligence in what he says, and I mean this from a medical context. Things like obesity , heart disease, are killing way more people in the “developed” countries, you should be slapping a warning label on all the food we eat, the jobs that keep us sedentary, the social media that captures our attention. Having given much thought and research to this topic of homosexuality and Islam and Muslims, I do not believe this man is qualified to speak at an intelligent, necessary level. It may be better for him to just be quiet.

This is a description of their prayer during the night, their lengthy tahajjud, their recitation of the Book of their Lord, their showing humility towards Him and their bowing and prostrating to Him. The reason is you’re committing presentism fallacy and judging him by your own 21st century moral standard that’s why you don’t see a problem in marrying an older women than him cause modern society is ok with it. This is not a valid way to judge his actions because at his time this was perfectly normal. As long as both parties are not going to be harmed then it’s okay. Unless you have evidence of any sexual harm, you can’t criticize his actions.
I wasn't aware of the taxi driver who died in those riots. I am glad you brought to light all these ignored parts of history. The worst part is that I have seen in academia, historians included (most of which are largely featured in mainstream media and whose books have done a lot to distort history under the veil of 'revisionism') push these narratives.

I watched it. It’s really shallow and not a good look to make fun of diseases, not from Islamic conduct. This man is not, in my opinion, addressing the real need; instead he is making fun of these lgbtq people. He should focus on the Quranic and Prophetic examples of calling people to righteousness and worshipping Allah swt and avoiding sin. And learning how to cope with desire.
I do not see intelligence in what he says, and I mean this from a medical context. Things like obesity , heart disease, are killing way more people in the “developed” countries, you should be slapping a warning label on all the food we eat, the jobs that keep us sedentary, the social media that captures our attention.
Having given much thought and research to this topic of homosexuality and Islam and Muslims, I do not believe this man is qualified to speak at an intelligent, necessary level. It may be better for him to just be quiet.

I too used to watch Omar, but when I found the truth and saw him clearly engaging in pagan practices and shaking hands with gay priests and etc..
I knew he is danger! And stopped watching him and started advising everyone to stay away from him.
Alhamdulelah we have alot of knowledgeable scholars and teachers between us, one of them Shaykh Abu bakr (in this video) so we don't need to listen to corrupted ppl like Omar and others, we should listen to and follow those who are on the truth and not watering the religion down
Omar Sulaiman has explicitly apologized and confessed to his mistakes. What is the point of muslims bringing down other muslims who have repented and apologized? Wouldn't it destroy you mentally if someone did that exact act of using a previous sin of yours to bring you down and point at you over and over again? And now let's say for arguments sake that those people you just mentioned all are completely deviant from Islam and everything good they did has been nullified by these acts, what then is the point of bringing them up but to spread further negativity? These do not seem the type of acts muslims have been commanded to engage in.

3:114. They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is good, and forbid what is evil; and they hasten to do good deeds. They are among the righteous.
After having told us about the evildoers among the People of the Book, and their deeds and punishments, Allah then tells us about the upright group, and their deeds and rewards. He tells us that they are not alike in His sight, rather there is an indescribable difference between them. The evildoers are as described above, whereas these people are believers. Allah tells us that some of them «(are upright)* that is, they adhere to the religion of Allah and do that which Allah has commanded, which includes establishing prayer
«(they recite the revelations of Allah [in prayer] during the night, and they prostrate)*. This is a description of their prayer during the night, their lengthy tahajjud, their recitation of the Book of their Lord, their showing humility towards Him and their bowing and prostrating to Him.
(They believe in Allah and the Last Day)* that is, their faith is like that of the believers, which includes believing in every Prophet who was sent and every Book revealed by Allah. Belief in the Last Day
singled out for mention because belief in the Last Day motivates the believer to do that which brings him closer to Allah and that will bring reward on that day, and to avoid anything for which he will be punished on that day.
3:115. Whatever good they do, it will not go unappreciated; for Allah knows well those who are conscious of Him.
{(they enjoin what is good, and forbid what is evil)) thus they strive to perfect themselves by means of faith and all that it entails, and they strive to perfect others by enjoining them to do all that is good and forbidding them to do anything that is evil. That includes encouraging their co-religionists and others to believe in Muhammad (^|). Then Allah describes their lofty aspirations:
f(and they hasten to do good deeds)) that is, they rush to do them and seek every opportunity to do them at the earliest possible time. That is because of their great eagerness to do what is good, and their knowledge of the benefits and reward that goodness brings. These are the people to whom Allah ascribes these beautiful characteristics and good deeds.
{•(They are among the righteous)) whom Allah encompasses in His mercy and forgiveness, bestowing upon them His grace and bounty.
(•(Whatever good they do)), whether it is great or small
{•(it will not go unappreciated)) that is, they will never be deprived of its reward; rather Allah will reward them for it completely, but the reward for deeds depends on what is in the individual’s heart of faith and piety. Hence Allah says: {(for Allah knows well those who are conscious of Him)), as He says elsewhere:
4...Verily, Allah only accepts from those who fear Him.)) (al-Ma idah 5:27)

Evangelicals and Christian Fundamentalists now publically tip toe around the LGBTQ issue when confronted. I have yet to find a Muslim that tip toes around this when asked about this issue.
