    Yeah, I'm watching for that CPI number on Wednesday. If it were to drop, that may damage the yields on the 30 and 20 yr bond reopenings in the following days.

    Be interesting to see how far down May's jobs number will be revised. That the revision has (in the last 2 yrs) batted almost 1k downward, is highly out of the ordinary (but very telling)! 😯

    If you buy treasuries at Treasury Direct, how do you pay for them if all your funds are with charles schwab..e.g.?

    • @pdouglas3866
      @pdouglas3866 24 дня назад +2

      Just buy them through Charles Schwab. Much easier to sell them if you have to.

    • @FunTimePlaying
      @FunTimePlaying 23 дня назад +1

      At Treasury Direct link an account from where you can transfer funds (like Schwab) then transfer what you need to buy what you're interested in.

    I have a question, I bought 3 months treasury notes instead of treasury zeros at 5.38% by mistake, what is the difference between the two and it seems like I paid a fee. I don't understand how you get paid with treasury notes.

    • @DavidLitman-ph9lu
      @DavidLitman-ph9lu 24 дня назад

      Notes pay a fixed rate of interest every six months until they mature. Since the one you bought on the secondary market matures in 3 months, you will only get one interest payment, at the time the note matures.

    Owned very limited TLT and when yield for 10-year yield drops, sell covered calls one month or less for them to generate extra income. If they are called away, I'm ok.
