I just love how melody-focused their new material is! There clearly has been an evolution, but they didn't lose what made them "mouse on the keys" on their way to get there.
I stand by my two-year-old opinion. My only complaint with this band is that they press like 50 vinyls at a time, and they're sold out in a matter of weeks.
+Hemrage amen at the first song i listened of them i said "nice piano play" and then it went to "holy shit odd time signatures in drums this is so prog" i found a new branch of prog :)
I wish I had heard something like this when I was 14. That this would have been my inspiration for drumming rather than metal. This would have blown my mind just lime it still does every time I hear it now.

It could just be me, but I hear moments of the first movement of the Fuzzy Bird Sonata by Takashi Yoshimatsu in this piece of music. Specifically in the first 30 seconds and then again at 2:35 or so.
@@mar15115 Try Tigran Hamasyan, Hiromi Uehara, Eldar Djangirov, Casimir Libeski, Plini, Avishai Cohen, Esperanda Spalding, and Esbjorn Svensson Trio. Not all of them is heavy but still (hopefully) worth listening for :-)
Wow, nice to find someone mentioning the fantastic Tigran Hamasyan here😃 Though, to ppl who haven't heard of him and his works, I'd say his composition might sound strange and too uncompromising in term of harmony and rhythm during first listen. But once you get used to that, his music should be a blessing to your ears😊
This is funny, i have followed mouse on the keys since anxious object, and tigran’s new maps video reminds me so much of this one. I just found out about tigran a few months ago and i’m so mad i didn’t know about him sooner
I wish animals as leaders would cover this song. I'll always love this version and mouse on the keys as a band but if anyone could pull off a heavy version and do it justice it would be AAL.
@@omnilightstudios7958 Tigran Hamasyan-Mouse on the Keys album collab and tour would be godly. Imagine both Arthur Hnatek and Akira Kawasaki are doing polymeter drumming while Tigran is soloing his own polymeter parts on piano and synth😙😆
I think all the people who like the above comment have only listened to this one track lol. The deep bass is awesome, it sounds like an organ bass pedal. Probably a synth bass. Sounds like a saw effect
The drums on this song is just something I can`t describe
Same.. it's emotion.. or something lol
i jumped out my seat and so happy when i found out this news
this new record makes me feel alive.
