I don't want to spend any Season Box credits until they are released. I think I'm pretty safe in unlocking them now because I pretty much have all my characters unlocked with the exception of two which would be Eve and Ortensia. But I could be eating those words.
I have played every season including the first few before the official release & I actually like how you unlock the mid season characters now instead of with having to be at the top 15% or 25% because I know I’ll be able to unlock them since I have all the characters. I had an extremely hard time getting a fast enough time so it was very frustrating trying to get a fast enough time to unlock those characters. However they should add it both ways with a time trial unlock event (preferably how it was in the first few seasons where you automatically unlocked the character just by racing once) & another event with how it is now for the players who aren’t as good like myself.
We want them to release the racers a week early at least so it'll give us time to prepare but knowing GameLoft, I'm sure they'd rather release them on the released chapter itself so we will get pressured to buy their shards. I'm sure the event would be just like Kermits.
To answer your question probably after both WALL•E and Kermit events end or when Chapter 5 opens.

hope that we get a event for anxiety in 3 days, it'd be nice to have time to upgrade her before her season tour chapter and same goes for ennui

I wouldn't be surprised if they waited to release Anxiety and Ennui on the same day as the chapters they are needed in.
