    • @mko0lpmko0lp
      @mko0lpmko0lp 3 часа назад

      But it also feels like Purdy is a system QB & maybe not worth giving $61+mill/yr too. Like you see Josh/Lamar/Joe overcome the lack of execution & find ways to get into the endzone more often than not. This video shows that player is CMC for the 9ers, not Purdy. But CMC is 1 of 1. And they can't depend on him coming back or being what he was. I wouldn't extend Purdy after this season. I'd then force him to play on the franchise tag for the next 2 years. After 2nd tag, I'd trade Purdy for a Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson type haul.

    Thank you for the video! So many errors. Deebo STILL not running full speed when he isn't the 1st read is insane to me. Are the coaches not seeing this and calling him out? How about teammates? On that last play, if Mason did his job by taking the most inside guy even though the next guy was closer to the QB, then why wouldn't the tackle need to take the next inside guy as well? Seems like everyone would be assigned with taking the most inside most dangerous threat to the QB? If not then it would make sense to take the 1st guy through, not the most inside guy. Thanks again!

      @mko0lpmko0lp 3 часа назад

      Well Mitchell only has 9 TDs in 327 carries (36:1). Mason has 7 TDs in 188 carries (27:1). So Mason finds ways into the end zone waaaaaaay more than Mitchell. Now CMC (49ers) is another level with 20 TDs in 431 carries (22:1). But CMC is 1 of 1. He also has 11 receiving TDs. Problem is you can't count on a 28 yr old RB with 2 bad achilles...

  • @Afrikanxl

    Seems the Vets have tuned Kyle out. Many years of heartbreak season enders can cause that I guess. That final image of Trent, Kittle, and Juszczyk just staring at Mason get blown up (which they caused)..and not running to the ball...and reacting late to noticing the fumble, is telling. Most important series in the game to seal it, and they are just slow to react.

    I'm going to say something I know you disagree with, but I don't think Brock is a quick processor. I think he's a slow processor with a photographic memory. He knows where all of HIS guys are supposed to be, which allowed him to throw that backside curl to Aiyuk after recognizing Kittle's vertical isn't there. When he DOES recognize what the defense is doing, he can find guys other QBs simply wouldn't find, because he has everything his guys are supposed to be doing memorized. I think he's slow at figuring out what the defenses are doing, though. Most QBs these days aren't quick processors, though. Peyton Manning was a quick processor. Steve Young was a quick processor. Drew Brees was a quick processor. Jimmy Garoppolo, although sometimes wrong in his decision making, was quick. I think Jimmy also knew his limitations with being the worst deep thrower in the history of pro football and smartly decided not to look at certain routes. QBs these days make up for their lack of coverage reading ability with raw arm strength, accuracy, and athleticism.
    Brock just hasn't been good enough in accuracy since the Ravens game. Even his good games this year have had many throws with poor ball placement compared to pre-Ravens Brock. His misfires in 2023 were often from the precision required to throw on time when a receiver is halfway up his stem, which he does to compensate for his weaker arm. This year, he's flat-out missing marks that don't require that kind of timing.
    The miss to Jennings on the out and up before the end of the half, that should have been a TD, and the high ball that Aiyuk didn't pull in on the interception drive were the most egregious, but he also threw two misfires on a deep out and deep comeback to Aiyuk and Deebo on the 1st drive. Prior to the playoffs, I'm not sure he ever missed an out cut all year in 2023. He was money on out cuts to Aiyuk.
    I have no confidence that Brock can regain the accuracy given that Jimmy fell off after the 2019 season and never regained it. I get the sense Kyle and co. mess with QBs' natural mechanics and other things and end up causing them to regress. Just look at how Jimmy developed that weird front foot drag and wide stance in 2018. His setup was completely different in 2017. I think Brock's setup may have actually been slightly different in 2023 compared to 2022 as well, but it didn't negatively affect his play as far as I could tell.

He's ok, not great. And the rest of the team being average, we have solid proof he cannot win a game on his own - period. It's time to move on from this fanboy attitude - Mahomes would score EVERY TIME on this position with the exact same squad as SF. Purdy just does not find it.
