I reverted two years ago. I recently married a Bangladeshi woman that helps me to become a better Muslim. My mother grew up Catholic, but didn’t raise me in any religion. I could relate to Musa on revealing my decision to my family. My mother also noticed my changes for the better in my mental health and anger issues. I don’t swear like I used to. I had been an “Anti-Zionist” since the early 2000’s. I didn’t loose a lot of friends over it, most have been supportive, even the devout Christians and Mormons (I live in Utah).

You have to shut off critical thinking to believe in Islam.
Erase history. Abandon logic. Pretend contradiction is divine.
Islam is the only religion that destroys itself from within.
It doesn’t need critics-it dies on its own contradictions.
Not even one of Islam’s two billion brilliant adherents has come close to producing a coherent answer to this deafening problem.
      Not one.

      The Islamic Dilemma
The Qur’an commands Jews and Christians to judge by the Torah and Gospel (Qur’an 5:43-47, 10:94).
It calls them guidance and light. It tells Muhammad to ask their followers if he’s in doubt.
It even declares that those who don’t judge by them are without guidance.
Then it turns around and contradicts those very texts-on theology, prophecy, law, and history.
      So:
      • If the Bible is valid → the Qur’an is false.
      • If the Bible is corrupted → the Qur’an is commanding people to follow corruption.
      That’s not a contradiction.
      That’s a theological implosion.

Muslim Excuse: “Only parts were corrupted.”
The go-to fallback-and it fails instantly.
      Which parts?
Always and only the ones Islam disagrees with.
No criteria. No evidence. Just retroactive edits to protect the narrative.
      And here’s the deeper collapse:
The Qur’an claims to “confirm” and “restore” earlier revelation-so where is it?
Why does it affirm the Bible as truth while ignoring 90% of its content?
Entire systems of law-purity, marriage, civil code, agriculture, ritual, festivals-are found throughout the Bible.
      And the Qur’an? Dead silence.
No correction. No update. Just omission.
If Islam came to “clarify,” why pretend to affirm a book while sidestepping its entire structure?
      And ask the obvious question:
      Who would invent all that?
Who would fabricate hundreds of pages of detailed, inconvenient, time-bound law with no relevance to 7th-century Arabia?
There’s no motive to invent it. That kind of structure isn’t fake-it’s legacy.

      But here’s the fatal blow:
Even if only some of the Bible is corrupted, the Qur’an still tells people to judge by it.
That means it is actively pointing to a corrupted standard as truth.
And when you affirm a corrupted source as divine, you don’t just contradict yourself-
you become part of the corruption.
So either the Qur’an upholds a book it contradicts, or it joins the very deception it condemns.
      That’s not revelation.
That’s a collapse in authority and coherence.

      What Actually Happened
Muhammad never saw the Bible. He heard distorted stories, oral folklore, and apocryphal tales-and mistook them for revelation.
He recycled myths as if they were scripture, wrapped them in Arabic rhyme, and called them divine.
When the contradictions started piling up, Islam didn’t respond with answers.
It responded with accusation: “They changed the book.”
      That’s not divine insight.
      That’s panic theology.

And that’s why the Qur’an is filled with Jewish midrash, Christian apocrypha, and even pagan fables-yes, fables-stories that were never scripture, just folklore floating around Arabia.
The Qur’an didn’t recognize them as myth.
      It recorded them as fact.

Im a Muslim and in recovery from addiction to fentanyl and methamphetamine. Islam has given me the strength to persevere and to better but life is crazy and even though I am a Muslim ive still made bad choices and been in bad situations. After my wife and I split up I got into drugs very bad. And moved in with some non muslim friends. Running around with different women and using drugs. While staying there I taught all of them about Islam and alot of these addicts showed an interest. In the US alot of people grow up with no religion at all. Almost invariably i would ask these people to listen to what we believe as Muslims and what Christians believe ie the trinity and resurrection and these people from rural America invariably said that the trinity makes no sense and that Islam made way more sense. One guy who considered himself christian didnt understand that Christianity claims jesus is god. He said no hes just the son of god not god. After explaining the trinity to this guy he said that it was ridiculous. I had some people show an intense interest in Islam. I think the thing holding them back was a fear of making such a commitment. Once your a Muslim you have to pray and fast at ramadan, adhere to the pillars and sharia. When your in active addiction its hard to imagine being able to live any other way. Even in active addiction i tried to still pray and tried to avoid sins beyond using drugs. It made me feel strange to be both a muslim and a drug addict eventually I got into rehab and my life has been improving ever since.

May Allah guide you and help you overcome your addictions, my brother.
We must always remember that Islam means surrendering to the will of our Creator, and this can only be truly achieved by adhering to the Book of Allah-the Qur’an.
The Qur’an clearly shows us how to navigate life’s trials and tribulations. Sadly, the Islam that is widely practiced today is more cultural than Qur’anic. Over the centuries, Islam has been severed from its divine source and rebuilt upon Hadiths-many of which are inauthentic or even contradictory to the Qur’an-and upon the interpretations and opinions of scholars, sheikhs, teachers, and even politicians. This deviation has often served the purpose of control and exploitation rather than guidance and truth.
As a result, much of the Muslim world has fallen into chaos, confusion, and decline-reflected in countless personal and societal tragedies, such as what you’ve experienced.
Alhamdulillah, in recent times, more and more people have begun to question these traditional practices and are turning their attention back to the Qur’an itself. While this return to the original message is often met with resistance from mainstream circles, we trust in Allah’s promise: He will complete His light and the true, Qur’anic Islam will ultimately prevail-leading to a renewed, enlightened Ummah.
      InshAllah. 🙏

**Being a humanist and a good person is a benefit in this world and a virtue. However, being a believer in God is the salvation of your soul, saving it from eternal suffering and leading to eternal bliss. This is something we must all understand and realize while we are still alive.
If you are a humanist, you do not lose humanity and compassion. If you are a believer in the one and only ultimate God, you do not lose your humaneness; instead, you gain eternity. Pay attention to this very important life decision.
Through Islam, this truth can be presented to you most clearly. The Quran is the only revelation from God that has been preserved without any alteration. Other monotheistic religions have undergone many changes, so today, if you study them, you have no real idea of how they originally appeared.
Certainly, if you seek the truth and sincerely ask the Creator for guidance, you will find it through studying, researching, comparing, and weighing different perspectives. I wish you success in this life journey.
Once we leave this world, our books are closed, and we remain in the state in which we departed from this life. There is no return. The consequence for some is the loss of eternity in bliss, while others face eternal suffering.

Before Hijra, Medina was almost 1/3 jewish. And they played a huge role in securing safety for the Prophet SAW and the companions. After Hijrah there was a civil war within the jewish tribes due to evolving loyalties towards Islam resulting in bloodshed. In Islamic tradition, those jews became Ansar. It’s pretty much the same. We all believe in the same god. Jesus was a prophet of god and he spoke Aramaic. He called God “Elaha” (Allah) which is the Aramaic word for “God”.
Christians are actually also not allowed to eat pork. In Matthew 26:39, it states that Jesus fell on his face and prayed. That’s how Muslims pray.
It’s great you want to learn about it. It’s basically just an extension of Christianity, it answers big questions better and in more clarity. As he says in the video: it’s the truth ❤

You know, I’ve been seeing your face for months brother and I’ve kept saving the video to watch later only to keep forgetting. This is actually the first episode I’ve heard of this podcast. (After hearing brother Michael’s story and then you telling us about your dream, I sure picked a good one huh).
I must start with this. I can’t even tell you how proud I am of the hijabi sister mentioned in this video, who stood alone in protest. It’s easier to join a crowd, it’s not so easy to form one. Especially with a mob standing in your way. May Allah bless her and increase her in courage and ease.
As for Michael, fellow Pakistani here 😊 “I will give my”… biryani? for you to tell me more! Honestly moved by how he spoke about how he prayed for stuff as a none Muslim in the mosque, only to be granted it. How near Allah is! How beautifully uniquely He guides whom He wills.
And what to say other than we are blessed to call such a gentleman and individual our brother in faith. Undoubtedly it was the beauty of his own character which he displayed (even quietly) which allowed him to see the beauty in others. I mean, how many people take their shahada and save a life in the same day. What is this if not a sign. And what is this if not a blessed individual, masha’allah.
So glad he finally got round to telling us about the book, my reaction when the conversation swerved, can’t be doing that to your audience bro, we need to know these things!
May Allah continue to bless him and you.
