The alpex-duo XS fitting with a male thread made entirely of plastic complements FRÄNKISCHE’s installation system for drinking water and heating. The all-plastic design offers the same applications as the proven brass components and is additionally suited for special applications, for instance with corrosive water. This video shows you the proper installation.
You do not have to roughen the fitting and can seal it using sealing cord or hemp, according to DIN 30660. First, screw the fitting in by hand. We recommend using a wrench for the final rotations. IMPORTANT: If you can screw in the fitting completely, you probably have not used enough sealing material.
In this case, remove the fitting and seal again using sealing material.
