The provincial capital of Negros Oriental. Known as the “City of Gentle People” and one of the world’s best places to retire. The City of Gentle People boasts many tourist spots such as the Belfry Tower and the Silliman University Campus to mention.
Dumaguete’s annual Sandurot Festival is celebrated during the 3rd week of November in celebration of the hospitality and friendliness of the city.
Buglasan brings together the different Festivals in Negros Oriental in one colorful and mesmerizing event. This is a celebration that unites the people all over the stretched region of the Negros Island. Aside from watching the grandest events of Buglasan Festival, other great festivals can also be seen though out the year. From the north of Canlaon to the south of Basay, festivals are the essential celebrations that we Filipinos carry out through different generations.

as a student and as a citizen of Dumaguete. I really love this jud as in. The only thing is. the part nga naay bagting sa bell kay like it seems so kulang like walay bell na nakita nya walay na happen ana na time. I feel like the only reason why ang Dumaguete dili jud sigi ug ka place sa Buglasan festival kay tungod every year mag change change ug story line. i love it talaga the choreo and everything naa rajuy something kulang

This is so impressive... But there doesn't seem any information about the WHEN and where these events take place... Well, not everyone who are merely traveling would know about this. I met a few travelers, who had no idea about the festival... But at least, I know there are some things at the Freedom park, so they stayed in town for a few days, instead of rushing to get to Siquijor and Bohol.
