i like the idea of angeal but i'm gonna hold out. i'd rather see a full defense outfit and i think they're going to build up veil eventually. there are a lot of gachas where shielding is a viable replacement for healing, so i wouldn't be surprised to eventually see them lean into a bit more and maybe have an aoe veil (edit: on a weapon i mean, not just the limit) and/or an outfit with an r.ability that buffs it so we get bigger shields.
Possibly something else worth considering is that Angeal's Tower 30 boss is weak to lightning and if you don't have Zack's monster hunter weapon it could be wise to pick up CC Alloy Greatsword. Not to mention it is a strong subequip for magic lightning builds, especially Tifa's since she doesn't get magic attack in her main hand.
The one thing about Veil is that it increases you *Effective* HP. It's not a cure, it's meant to increase your active HP pool so that you can survive bigger hits and then the healer tops you up. Also, he has Veil in his attacking weapons. He's not casting Veil and then attacking, he's doing both at the same time! He's getting a 10% shield every 4 ATB and that's so OP
Oh and also, Veil is amazing for weapons that have HP% conditionals, as you're not having "more HP" but there is more damage required to bring you under that percentage
As cool as his kit seems, I already have OB10 Stream with OB7 or 8 Slay for Glenn *and as that's basically all he is useful for atm, I don't want to completely make him irrelevant lol). That being said, I will definitely put some of his weapons in my wishlist and already have his starting weapon at OB6 from his starting tickets.

I have 32k BC and I think I’m gonna just pull on Yuffie’s costume first since I don’t have strong magic ice and I can wishlist her weapon. Depending on stamp luck, I may come back to Angeal or it’s save mode for collab!
I would pull but we are really broke, he looks very strong honestly, we will face strong physical boss hitters with status effects for a month guaranteed. His aoe pdef + park is also fantastic. I will pull for a costume for him for sure but limited is minimum OB6 and it's just not possible. Whales are gonna be crazy strong in physical water for this guild war with angeal + glen OB10, angeals tanks all the damage and let glenn go crazy. I obly have glenn but he will be nerf because I'll have to add him 100 pdef to survive guaranteed.

I know I can take a break but at the same time I don't want to miss anything coming out! And I haven't miss a day in 360 days since I've started!
With his kit, he is OP for carrying Hard content. He is a must pull for veterans who are having hard time beating hard content. He has Veil Limit Break AoE for the party and provoke.

I think this is a skip cause I'm sure it'll come back at some time. If you broke and want the weapon I would do one single pull get the base weapon and wait until you get his free weapon parts and then upgrade it to gold that's what I do when I dont wanna go all in. It's the best way to get every weapon.

I pulled not really for the weapon, but for the costume and the aesthetic look. Come on, Angeal looks awesome in that training garb. If you have played the chapter you see how the deadly trio have strong ties to Wutai. A couple of new secondary characters and some interesting other side reveals. I can't wait until they release Genesis.
Water DPS is my only reason to use Tifa right now with my builds. I also dislike the look of Angeal's costume. Nothing crazy in terms of power creep here. Easy choice for me on this one.
Id be MORE disappointed if they wasted a collab slot for Auron on Angeal. Samurai style character....obvious choice would be Sephiroth and would be more incentive for players to spend as well.
I mean there is nothing stopping you from pulling a copy just so you have it as you can use weapon parts later, and as shown by the ice limited banners, they do plan to bring them back again

That's correct. I'd recommend wishlisting it eventually but not on this banner, mainly because the tower is permanent content

Stalwart Integrity is really appetizing, its a PDEF kamura. And we all know how useful that has been.
