    Well, if the goal is the premiership, then you need money to get there.

    Sustainability is the name of the game. I know it’s expensive, but it’s what’s needed to keep top wage players. If there’s no value m, then these memberships won’t sell. This has to be all out in pace to compete in the championship, once we get there

      But on the flip side David, huge sponsorship deals with STOK, United, VistaPrint etc give us more in commercial revenue than any other team in L1 and L2. Additional membership revenue doesn't move the needle much

    We already need a bigger stadium . So if climbing up the league is the goal, then building a new stand will
    be insufficient and a new stadium will be needed.

    I certainly sympathize with local fans that are seeing pricing go up. I hope that we as international fans can add to the club without pricing the people of Wrexham out of the club. I personally bought an international membership even though I get nothing from it. I won't be going after tickets, at least this year, and there's no welcome package for the international fans (club should fix that)...but at the end of the day I wanted to put something into the club. Also on the kit prices, we are seeing those go up for MLS kits here this season. The new kit for my local club (Seattle Sounders) is $90 which is about 70 pounds. I think there's a bit of and EFL price hike there, but I'd say a bunch of it is inflation.
    Maybe that's a bit of rambling, but the main thing I wanted to just say is..."international fan here...glad to be here, much respect to the long time Wrexham fans and hope we can help the club while not hurting you." I hope that's the way most US fans feel. Thank you for sharing your club with us.

      Hey Jared, thanks for the message. That's admirable you want to give back and it's great to hear. It's a very sensitive moment here on the cost of living crisis - obviously this is sweeping communities across the world - but it was the community that made Wrexham so likeable on the series, more so than the match action. All we want is just to see so many of these lifelong fans brought along for the ride - and not priced out.

    I paid the £30. The trouble is I'm not allowed a phone in work so when the tickets go on sale I can't access the site to even try. They're just not thinking things through. The delay on the new stand is a massive concern.

      The stand was NEVER scheduled for completion this year. It's always been for the 2024-2025 season. The 'delay' isn't .at this point, a real problem. Just an annoyance.

Have you thought that the overseas fans sre subsidising are any cost rises for the home fans ? - The rot is beginning ..!! They get built up & now you're starting to pull them down ... You get these extra fees with everything these days, you pay for booking your seats on the plane etc, insurance etc, You have a choice !!!

    You are looking at YEARS, before your concern is even an a potential issue. And even then, it is a fool's game to chase the Premier League and almost always ends in tears. As others have said, enjoy the ride wherever it ends up. I personally believe that Wrexham will find its level at League One / Championship, with the rare visit to the Premier League in very exceptional years.. For that you most assuredly do not need a new stadium, since MOST of the income will be from TV. merchandise, and sponsorships.
    What makes Wrexham is its WORLD fan base. A smaller stadium actually benefits because its FAR more atmospheric.

    • @robryanred
      @robryanred  Год назад +1

      Would have to disagree. The membership scheme was drastically over-subscribed at last season's 10,000 cap and it's going above that this season with no new stand yet. Intrigued to see how many cope with ticket disappointment this season

    • @geronimo825

      I also watch Bolton. A lot of their fans still long for Burnden Park and still sing about it. The 28k capacity stadium is just brilliant though and certainly doesn’t lack atmosphere. You can easily get a beer at half time as well and the hospitality packages cater for most budgets with separate lounges that overlook the pitch and cushioned seats. I honestly think Wrexham could fill a stadium like Boltons and make a right racket. It really is something to strive for imo.

      @@jamesbarr2362 on the transfer market point, our record signing is £300k, our wage bill is around £2.3m and we got £1m for rejoining the league. No denying it's going to get increasingly expensive as we go up but cannot fathom some costs - such as a £90 kids goalie kit - costing more than some PL teams. Difficult one for a lot of locals to see costs going up across the board quickly. As for Chelsea, looking forward to seeing us take you on in the States next week!
