  • This #EatonLIVEatFIVE #EatonTechTalk will take a look at a new standard that was released from the NFPA Library of standards that addresses maintenance of electrical equipment - NFPA 70B!
Attendees of this session will understand the following:
    1. How maintenance plays a role in NFPA 70E safe work practices. If you have an NFPA 70E Safety plan but don't have a maintenance plan then you don't have an NFPA 70E electrical safety plan.
    2. How to navigate NFPA 70B to properly apply this standard and create your maintenance plan
    3. Important elements of an effective maintenance plan
    4. How to get your facility started in developing a safety plan when you haven't had one in years
    5. Learn who is enforcing maintenance and maintenance requirements of NFPA 70B
Join me live and have the opportunity to ask questions and have a discussion with others who are also watching live.

Great video! I’d love to see a video that succinctly runs through actually assessing a piece of equipment (condition of maintenance and ECA), finding the frequency of maintenance, and then looking at the required tests. I really like the changes to the NFPA 70B but it can be hard to wrap your head around all of it.

Annex B was deleted because the information contained within is not specific to electrical maintenance.

You got that right. We moved alot of the body of the document to the back of the book during this last cycle as it moved to a standard. The previous Annex B is a good example of material that just didn't fit. Great information that hopefully gets repurposed for somewhere else.
