Twitter Theory : The first SKZ that appear (the ones performing ) are them and the industry (the circus), they're stuck in a routine making the same show over and over just to entertain the audience or people, the other SKZ (clones) are also them looking at the performer SKZ just doing things to please the audience and they want to change that or make them realize, if you notice the scene when the original SKZ finds the clones and are faced to face them, clone Felix throws a match that says "STAY" to the original Seungmin, then with those matches they blow the entire circus and at the end they join altogether to make a show with no audience, finally following their own wills and performing because they love it. So basically saying that "screw the (circus) industry and audience, I'm not doing this because I wanna please them, I'm doing this for myself, cause I love what i do".

Stay accepted stray kids for who they really are so skz “blew out” the division between their “regular/original selves” and the “stage personas” (which also got rid of the audience). Hence, instead of competing with themselves (as seen in the mv) to please the “circus”- in a wider context- the audience, the industry and others in general, skz said f it, we’re going to do what WE want, therefore, they created their own circus but this time around to enjoy themselves and to BE themselves. The two versions of them coming together to perhaps infer that: at the end of the day we’re the same people and we’re not going to change for others . We’re just doing what we love.
STRAY KIDS are unstopable this years they drop already more than 6 MV's in less than 3 month it's huges .
wow you're quiet smart in interpreting Stray Kids' Circus.. you're tryin' us to read between every single line of the lyrics and simply breakin' it down piece by piece.. I like that.. I like how reactors can really be so tedious in diggin' hidden meaning of a song that a performer is just simply tryin' to imply.. I dunno.. I hope I make sense.. But yeah.. knowin' how creative the kids are and every song they sing has its meaning, that sometimes others just don't realized it its actually like that..
WOW.... you had me roaring with laughter seeing you work out the meaning made my freaking day. Jesus talk dirty to me on Felix whisper part was priceless.... among so many others. I can honestly say that Stray Kids keeps our brains scrambled with their concept, lyrics, visuals, and performance this mv was a overload because we had double the stray kids. But I am hear for it and freaking love this song and your reaction. The analysis was great I think you worked it out in the end and it helped a lot.

actually skz has a storyline where there are two parallel worlds, means that there are two versions of them existing... their storyline is very complicated since they don't give that much, but as you can see in these past few years, they are focusing with their music and storyline at the same time, which is very entertaining to watch... in one of their upcoming projects this year, they announced "skzflix" (which is obviously inspired from the streaming platform) and most of stays are guessing that they would explain everything in their storyline through the project (hopefully)... but anyways, i enjoyed your reaction especially on how you explained everything in depth, and the details too, it's really cool that you noticed it in just a glimpse.. can't wait for more reactions!!

I enjoyed your thoughts on this very much. I know they are very different songs, but CIRCUS makes me think of their song THE VIEW. In CIRCUS they sing "Welcome to my home! Feeling good right now" which reminds me so much of their lyrics in THE VIEW: "Now I feel comfortable, I like it this feeling and I'll never let it go. I like the view right now...Wherever I go I'll be ok." Even if life is sometimes a bit of a circus!
I'm glad you enjoyed this song and MV. I think they're wonderful. I love circuses, I still go to see a show on occasion. The first novel I ever wrote, at fourteen, featured a circus. So I adore this.

Świetna analiza teledysku. Ja uwielbiam Stray Kids.
I've only watched it a few times and haven't checked lyrics, so I have no real clue what anything means but I love to form theories based on absolutely nothing.😅 The black and red wardrobe SKZ was the act in the circus with the crowd first (symbolising the real SKZ performing to an audience/the industry circus maybe), and the black and checkered SKZ snuck in backstage to watch. Then the checkered SKZ are vibing in the middle of the empty circus after they snuck in, playing with the lights and mics and everything, like they're the ones who aren't constrained having to perform to an audience, and are just doing what they want, and the black and red SKZ are watching them and approving of their performance (maybe realising they don't need to perform for others to feel validated). The denim version of them seemed like they were only backstage, I dunno if that's the checkered version in different clothes (they have the same hairstyles as the checkered SKZ as far as I can see) but maybe denim SKZ got blown up by the massive explosion the other two versions set off.
Honestly my first thought with the STAY matches wasn't a lovely symbol of STAY being the spark to the group, I was like ah shit, way to make STAY and accessory to your arson.😂 My second thought was like is this them passing the torch to the version of themselves that's less constrained, or a more successful SKZ passing the other SKZ the weapon to free themselves of their limitations? I did like the symbolism of the two versions of them coming together to destroy the circus that was constraining them and then dancing as the whole thing just burns in the background. I thought the warping in the video was partially the fire, and it also made me thing of Thunderous, different fire, but still there were parts here they were throwing the flames around.

It's all a metaphor, the circus represents the world of entertainment and with their doubles they mean "the Stray Kids compete only with the Stray Kids and no one else". Then there are references with "All In", "Back Door" and the circus song is taken from the cartoon "Madagascar" ahahaha. The final scene is a tribute to Hugh Jackman in "The Greatest Showman".
To be fair, this famous circus tune is based off an original composition from 1897, which became a popular circus song in 1901 and is still used to this day. Which is why it's so perfect! It has been used/remixed in many many movies, including Madagascar. (The "Afro Circus" tune is from "Entrance of the Gladiators", by the Czech composer Julius Fučík)

My dad was actually an extra in the first Ace Ventura as a police officer extra (he's an actual 25 yr retired police officer now, who happened to know someone in the screen actors guild who got him the job as an extra while he was still on the force back then) and he's in like 15 shots in 2 scenes 🤣🤣🤣. I literally have pics of my dad with Tone Loc, Courtney Cox, Dan Marino, and the Dolphins cheerleaders on my fridge right now 🤣🤣🤣. That analogy you made hit home a little 😆. Too too funny! Wow! 🤣🤣🤣

I commented this under Cks comment too but to make it separate: I think the clones actually represent STAY, like we are what propels them we are the matches that are used to ligth the fire, the fire being Stray Kids, since we see rope on fire that leads to explosion.Using the theory Cks sharad the ending can represent us together joining to lead the circus since Stray Kids are known for embracing being different. Speaking of whitch both here and in Maniac we have laughter present showing joker like persona someone that doesn`t play by the rules. Another way of seeing it may be purply storyline since we know that from very long time we have theories of Stray Kids having copies even from District 9 era and the evil Jeongin in Freez also suggests we may be right since he was the one with copy in District 9,another thing pointing to that is the lates Mixtape Time Out they dropped for Stay birthday where the oncept is young and free bright but the images [ text and scribbles over the mv/pictures in the mv] suggest somthing sinister

Commenting on your statement around 2:38. I don’t think the video is a call back to Maniac. The way I see it is that SKZ has always been an out of the box group, all of their concepts are insane and something you’d never think of. I think that this song is a message to everyone that that is where they are comfortable (on the weirder chaotic side of life and the music industry)

I think the all black outfits are a symbol of what they are supposed to be. Near the end, they just were dancing. The other group was just jumping around and not in sync. So I think it kinda shows that maybe people just want to see their performance but not Stay to see their chaoticness? Idk if that makes sense

Hi, I’m not sure if you take requests but if you could check out the group kingdom? I think you’d really like them. They’re a pretty small group right now and they have four albums out so far. They debuted with “Excalibur” and they have “karma”, “black crown”, and “ascension” as well.

It may or may not directly affect the storytelling in the video BUT, it is a good point because perfection is always expected from those who are in the music/entertainment industry, which could be quite suffocating, we're both probably reaching here but I still like the thought haha!
yeah.. i think skz japanese songs are not mean to be THAT deep as you go, but there are a lot of interesting things here. i look at as them looking at them in the circus, always going round and round doing the same show, and then the other skz tosses that stay matches and teaches the circus skz to be free and in the end they all dance together. and all the maniac/inner self/circus freak metaphors are there too ... but overall i think this is more to just have fun.
