I don’t have much time for gaming these days, so going to a sure-thing good time just makes sense. Sometimes a risk on a new title works out, sometimes it doesn’t, but I know those core games will always hit where I need it. Great topic, ideas, and presentation.
@@holisticreviews Life is already stressful as it is, so i rather just boot up a game i know i love, and just enjoy the ride. You right about that man, time really does eat away at the amount of games you can play. I think thats what makes gaming even more fun to me, because since my time is limited these days i choose very wisely what i want to play. Thank you for the support, I greatly appreciate the topic resonated with you.
This entire video perfectly explains why i love FFX and Bioshock so much. I know both inside and out. They bring me back to a simpler time in my life when i had next to no worries. Replaying them brings me a calm that no other games can
@@TheDyingSoldier5 Thats the true power of gaming man. Its like touching back to the roots of why we fell in love with this hobby in the first place. I missed playing out on BioShock when i was younger, but i always wanted to play it because it always look like a dope game.
Great video explaining what I felt was a me problem around others who don't understand. I have this with the Resident Evil games having completed all of the trophies & achievements for Resident Evil 4 original. & with the rumors saying there will be ports of it to Series X & PS5 I'll do that again probably. I even got a tattoo of the zombie dog from the series as a way to show my appreciation of the series.
Thank you bro i appreciate it ! Thats honestly the best type of dedication man, that's lets you know how much you enjoy that series. Literally i have 2 Nier Automata posters because that game literally changed my life. I play that game once every year.
I love going back and replaying a games that I grew up playing because now I have a really good PC that can play all these old game's at upgraded graphics and 144fps it's so nice I grew up as a Console gamer and now I'm a PC gamer and replaying these game's is so nice recently I just got into VR gaming and I started replaying Skyrim in VR and it feels so good. Two game's I replay every year and that's the KOTOR Star Wars game's I freaking love those game's I even still have the original disk for the original Xbox and even still have my original Xbox.
I have probably over 2000 hours in the division, lol. Sometimes I delete maxed out striker characters just to start the campaign over again. Now ubisoft is having a hard time...I hope they can become great again, division 2 just didnt hit the same. Maybe 3 will. Loved your video and resonated with it. If you cant tell from my avatar, megaman is to me what sonic was for you. Nostalgia of a time when I got along with my brother, we played the division at launch but dont really get along now...that and the familiarity of the mechanics pull me back. Also love helping newer players conquer the hardest stuff in the game.
Thank you man, im glad the video resonated with you! yeah Division 1 i can replay that game and still enjoy it like i was day one again. Division 2 qualitles lie in the build systems, but the moment to moment gameplay didnt land for me like the first game did. It's so sad that ubisoft's fate lies in the hands of AC: Shadows, and The Division franchise might go down with the company if everything goes wrong. Hopefully they pick things up or at least just sell the franchise to a different publisher. I wish i got into mega as a kid tbh, i always liked the aesthetics of the classic titles, and i played like 2 megaman X games thats it lol
@@joker-sh5hv The one series I replayed alot was Sly Cooper, definitely put probably 150 hours across the entire trilogy. Arkham City was so fun i always played that when i wanted to rack up a high combo score.
no matter how much i like a game, i dont usually replay because i get bored of them fast since iver already seen everything. idk how people can replay games all the way through countless times. same goes for other media tbh... except music
@@Zora72954 i guess its a matter of loving how the game plays and feels, rather than "seeing everything". I understand your take because i treat that with alot of movies and some story driven games, but platformers and RPGs are a bit different because its mainly replaying for gameplay purposes. Replayability is what makes a game a classic for me because if I don't get bored then that means the main game is excellent. Games now a days are just too long and don't take pride in replay value, just one and done experiences, which isnt bad tho.
Yeah, I definitely don't have the desire to replay story-driven type games. Same goes for other mediums that are used to tell stories. I already know what it's about, so I get bored real fast. The only games I replay are not really story-driven like the Civilization series, Path of Exile, and the like. Heck, I'll still pick up and play the original XCOM game from the '90s and enjoy it.
@@XBluDiamondX Yeah same here bro. Platformers are the main games i replay since you just pickup and play with minimal story involved. I cant imagine replaying a story game unless it's been years since i played it and my memory is foggy.
@@Alice_Liddell_1865 Nah i feel it. While some titles recently have been good, the Gaming industry is facing a major crash in player interest. Most new games to me just feel like the same soulless attempts at cashing in on trends for profit, just for realize non of us give a damn about another poor live-service game.
Not to mention that some of them requires you to be connected into internet to even get past the boot up screen, meaning they will be completely unplayable one day down on the line just like that one U____t racing game that's intentionally taken offline in 2024's April Fools day
Personally i feel like newer games are just the same. They don't innovate they're the same or worse for the same genre. I understand the nostalgia you feel I'm not the same way. But still I'll go back to my gamecube and play certain games i just feel like they were good they had soul poured into them. I still play some modern games but I stick to indie tittles
Yeah thats ultimately what i'm doing right now on my PC. Emulation has basically been my go to over any new game because im tired of the same game over and over. Not all new games are like this yes, but i just love the easy pick up and play nature of gamecube titles. The 2000s/early 2010s just felt like a time where companies actually cared for the gamer, now we see its just shareholders they care about. That nonsense can sit at the door while i play some classics i missed out on/
