You use clips. Just a little strip with an open hem. Nail then were the edge of your metal will be. Put the apron in place and bend the clips over the edge. Never put nails in the face of your apron metal. Also rather than snip the corner off you can wrap that corner and nail to that so it doesn’t show.
That is an amazing video. As a mason I don't do a lot of chimney flashing REPAIR. But I have a tricky one, a stone clad chimney, that is pouring water into the customer's house and has been doing so for a long time. After removing stone inside the house where water was seeping out thru the mortar, I am convinced it is coming from a poorly flashed corner. There are tons and tons of caulk, and mastic and sealants up there---none of it has worked. After watching your video I'm going to head over there and get down to solid. And start fresh. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
I’m Subscribed 🙋🏼♂️🙋🏼♂️ thanks for sharing . Having that existing flashing done helped with the new shingles for flashing install. Also looked like you had a good size crew on that roof .
@@Lifes_Apprentice I wish I had time to film when I work. I phucken love roofing!!! It's like a marriage. When I'm home I wanna roof. When I'm on a roof I wanna be home.
