Any family that needs to be called out on this sort of thing are always lucky that the sister/sister-in-law/neice doesn't call CPS. Assuming you have a relative as "a free babysitter" is never something that should come up to a CPS official. Even if true.. even if the relative is more than willing.. CPS (and comparable agencies with different names/initials) ALWAYS end up "paying visits".. especially of the unannounced/unscheduled kind.. if enough information is given where it seems an all too regular thing.. and not because of emergencies and such. "Family sticks together" .. ."Family puts family first".. and similar phrases, when in the context of using guilt to make a relative do something, is nothing but *_gaslighting!!_* Making someone feel like their POV is wrong (not just making someone question their sanity) is gaslighting also. Any attempt to invalidate someone's POV/convince them that how they are thinking/feeling based on valid information/past experiences isn't how they should feel absolutely qualifies. Also, like she said, they used her money, her time, and did things without considering her in any way at all.. and that again is gaslighting. Ashley is totally in the right for everything she did in response for what they did. The fact that her own mother felt she didn't even deserve to help her youngest daughter participate in her birthday celebration is just proof that she herself is a manipulative narcissist, as well as her sister is, and they both raised narcissists as well. Ashley is the only human being in a family of Dark Triad personalities. They also all married Dark Triad personalities as well. They even expected her to handle "special needs" like a professional nurse.. without any training. Also, it wasn't just siblings, but also cousins leaving her with their kids.. beyond ridiculous and unacceptable!!! Ashley also is right about how obvious that her siblings and their spouses are far too reliant on not parenting like they should, and paying for professional child care IS a part of parenting, especially as they STOLE MONEY from Ashley.. and especially as all of them were under the age of seven.. and two of them were INFANTS!! That right there would absolutely get them a visit from CPS.. expecting one young woman to handle that all by herself!!! The fact that they continued to trash her, exposing themselves to where ANYONE seeing their social media posts can report them to CPS reveals the entitlement only Dark Triad narcissist/Machiavellian personalities believe they have. Ashley cutting them off is good, but she absolutely needs to report the entire family to CPS.. even perhaps calling the head of Texas' state office there in Austin!! I am acquainted enough with how those things are handled.. and all five kids would be immediately removed once it were clear that what they expected of Ashley was an all too common occurrence. The extended family are not much better.. but Ashley can absolutely can show that to show others how her family really is. Ashley is right. The kids most likely will eventually find out how their parents are that pathetic. That one chance where Ashley confronted her sisters and mother with their blatant gaslighting and abuse proved they are not a family: they are abusers who know how to fake the emotions a family is supposed to show/feel. If I were to start my career over I think I would train as a Therapist/Counsellor helping unappreciated children to escape from the drudgery imposed on them by entitled brat Parents and Siblings. Having gone through it myself I know how damaging it is. It took until my 30's before I woke up to the harm they did to my psyche! In my 70's now I still experience the consequences of those early years of abuse!
