Also if you do pick up a nail gun and get 5 kills it still counts. I got lucky a couple times in rebirth and got kills with it that counted towards the challenge before I even started.
I was able to do the nail gun challenge without completing the full game in plunder just check your progress when you get your kills and you can back out
Couple of notes 1. You can down someone with a different gun and melee them with the grenade launcher 2. Using the blueprint Nail gun doesn't count for some reason
I wonder can you use a teammate nail gun? Because my friend has the nail gun and I haven’t ask him yet so is it possible to get the nail gun from getting from your teammate? To unlock the nail gun.
