    Our plot in kerala is marked dry land but always used for Agricultural purposes. Village officer had certified it as Agricultural land..recently we sold the land .Shall we have to paycapital gain tax.? The whole village is shown as garden land in the data bank.my ca says ,no tax.I don't want to take risk I am 76..pls advice .land is 9.3 km from nearest municipal limits.

    Sir, rural agri. land bechi hai, kya ITR me vo rakam dikhani padegi , dusara koi income nahi hai, aur land ki rakam bhi 2 lakh ke under hai. Aur agar ITR me dikhani padegi to kaha par dikhaye?

    If TDS is deducted on sale of rural agriculture land located 20 km from municipality boundary or no? If seller need to get nill TDS certificate from IT or need to get certificate that this is rural agriculture land

    My father sold a plot of land 8 decimals in his life time for Rs.10,000 before 30 years to a person in cash. The buyer took position then & there, but did not register any sale deed for the land. My father expired 20 years ago. Now the buyer is telling me to make registration. But now circle value of that land is above 3 lakhs.The buyer will pay me nothing as he has already paid to my father.Now if I do registree ,I have to take the circle amount in my bank account through account transfer, as par law, otherwise I will be punishable. But it is also truth that the buyer actually paid to my father at the rate of that time, and I don't want to make him looser. And I also want to keep me free from any legal problem. Beside this I will be liable to pay capital gain tax perhaps. How can I regiter it,without any hazard? Is it possible? Please give your kind suggestion.
