By the way, if you're interested, check out the 'Koh Lanta' restaurant, on a lakeside on King Kaew Road, right next to one of Suvarnabhumi's runways (not sure which one). Sometimes, depending on which runway the plane uses, you can see it from inside the airplane. If you go, choose a table by the lake. You can do your plane-spotting there with some nice Thai seafood and drinks in a nice environment.
The small birds are ok, but the big ones like the A330/340s and 747s come really low and near! If the wind is right, you can even smell some jet exhaust fumes! I love the place. I have the GPS location of the place if you're interested to go :-) Cheers!
