Typhon's actually gave you 160 magic power that last game, along with 10% pen and the major lifesteal increase. It is a very high dps item on her, not a low one. It gives up to 200 magic power if you max lifesteal. Spear of the magus is also extremely high dps on Freya because of the way the passive reacts with her damage. Freya has a unique combo of ability and basic damage on all of her attacks. Magus's 7.5% passive affects both. Sacrificial Shroud's 15%, for instance, only affects ability, so does less than expected.
I'd also recommend watching incon cause he has God and roles guides. They are a bit outdated but if you take mast builds and incon info about the gods or roles you'll learn pretty fast

Man at this point, I think freya should just have ranged autos. Maybe have her do bonus damage (and change the animation a bit) when she fights in mele range.
They actually did that at some point. Her 1 was a damage buff. Her two toggled ranged basic like a switch stance. But her 2 toggled to melee did more than ranged.

I may be wrong, but I've been playing for 8 years and I think the Freya 1 didn't keep slowing, but you could build hasten fatalis on her and just run anyone down
I've been really enjoying Freya with the sands of time buffs for better minion clear plus a bit of cool down and it feels pretty good. No idea if gilded is better or not but sands does feel good
I wish they just removed freya from duel, everyone gets used to her being garbage and things are good… then she gets a massive level one buff and turns into the magical adc version of lvl 3 anhur but on crack. If hi rez has the bare minimum iq to remove deaths toll and animosity in duel why cant they comprehend how some gods dont belong in duel at all

Ah remember the glorious time when Freya was downright broken. Played Smite way back in 2013, everybody considered Freya useless, mediocre - and when I picked her people were like "why are you building Freya as physical, she's low damage as it is, this is wrong, is this some kinda noob build?" - because, you know, even the game told you she's a half-mage and stuff. And then the final score answered that question with 20k and 0-3d. Because she had an upgrade that just converted physical damage into magical damage and in the end it allowed you to do 2x of the maximum magical damage she could normally do, in fact it resulted in a higher DPS than any other god had, which led to much RAGE in the arena. Good times.
Honestly, Mage ADC’s are actually AMAZING with new Conduit gem, and late game even Pendulum of Ages is great, but worse early, and imo is better than Arrow or DT once you get going, My mage ADC Is funky in that I go power first, Warlocks, into Magus, then Hecate/Hastened, swap whichever you dont go to 5th item, and Nimble Tahuti, lots of damage and around 2.1 attack speed
Now do it with Bumbas hammer. As long as you have enough mana/mp5, it’s super good. Never have to worry about cooldowns on the 1 or 2 lol. Edit: also you should try Redstone Xbal, and build him ability based early, transition into AA lategame. It’s super good
I figured its the best to take deaths toll on freya and then get the embrace instead of gilded arrow. Milion times better, huge sustain and in lategame even bigger. People are gonna need tons of antiheal in order to bring you down if you build the lifesteal increase item.

The equivalent is just building telkhines, while not based on health, it does around the same amount as qins late against tanks and is even better to fight squishies. So I’d just say not necessary. Just my opinion though

An optimal build for maximum dps would be like Starter Item - Vamp Shroud them upgrade into Sacrifical Shroud (don't upgrade into sacrificial Shroud if they have loads of antiheal, just sell shroud for Spear of Magus Hecate Demonic Grip Telkhines Bancrofts Rod of Tahuti upgraded into Nimble Rod
Two good builds on her are: Full damage: Manakin's > Ring of Hecate > Spear of Magus > Typhon's Ring > Demonic Grip > Telkhine's Ring > sell Manakin's for Nimble Rod of Tahuti (expensive build) Semi-tanky, works well in S9: Eye > Ring of Hecate > Spear of Magus > Typhon's Ring > Demonic Grip > Protector of the Jungle > Shogun's Kusari (cheap build, add an Elixir of Defense at the end to solo the enemy team) Don't take my word for these builds or any others that people say though. Write them down and go try it out in jungle practice, find out for yourself. Everyone swears they have the best build. Everyone is also usually full of shit.

Spear of the Magus's 7.5% damage increase affects ALL of Freya's damage. It is very strong. This build also overcaps lifesteal by 15%. You'd get a lot more power at most hp levels (190 in this case), 10% more pen, and much more lifesteal if you just swap the Bancroft's for a Typhon's.
Sacrificial shroud procs on her steroids meaning she hits harder than she would with magus but if they have anti heal then don't even upgrade it bcz you won't lifesteal your health back
@@sleepycel Misleading. Sacrificial Shroud is a damage modifier on a single skill, it procs only once per ability for the hp hit then it affects only the ability damage part of the stim. Again, it ONLY affects the stim damage, not her basic attack damage or Telkhines damage. Spear of the Magus is a damage debuff that modifies ALL of her damage on that target. They are not directly comparable. Go test it in jungle practice if you don't believe me.
I feel like the fix too Freya is just make her autos ranged autos without having to pop an ability, and then just nerf her damaged or something to make it balance
Freya is just one of those gods that will never be in a good state of balance. She swings wildly from shit tier to s+++ tier, I think when hirez reverted her rework that was them just giving up. We're reworking Freya because her kit is bad and doesnt work... We're reverting Freya because her new kit is bad and doesnt work.

Typhon's freya is busted. Honestly her best item imo, even if they have a lot of anti heal. The power and pen is just too much to pass on.
