The reason we overseas dont mind lyrics to much; its not our first language so English for us is mostly a music/film/game language. Were not trying to decode everything people sing/rap. If it sounds nice and makes some kind of sense we just roll with it
I think since our first language is NOT English, English becomes like a hub for various linguistic contexts (various because there are a lot of different languages in Europe, and you have a lot of different language speakers singing in English), not just contexts but even simple imagery. Like, Bladee saying "Everything hanging on a string, diamond earrings", the meaning of "hanging on a string" and right after that the image of an actual thing (a diamond earring hanging from someone's ear), it doesn't really make sense the way he says it for a "correct" english sentence, but it's still unique to him (the artist) and he knows why he said what he said because it's consistent with the rest of his songs' lyricism. He often mixes life events, existencialism, etc, with materialism, whatever is hanging on a string is as precious as a diamond to him. I'm using Bladee as an example but yeah, it fits the "euro" group of rappers you're talking about
I feel like you are too stuck up on "bars" I look at leans vocals are an extension of his songs. His voice is another instrument. I think you didn't like the songs on Stranger because people made you put the lyrics on. I think reading the lyrics as they play takes away from it.
If your interested, you should check out the Yung Lean "In my head" Documentary on your own time. It's a commitment, but definitely worth watching to get a closer insight. ruclips.net/video/6wgFliyJ4Bk/видео.html

I am very much late to the party on this comment, but I think this perfectly summarises it.
