I like all the dresses Jana tried on but I agree with the one she got. She was a beautiful bride. I'm glad she didn't take Michelle if Michelle might have vetoed any of those dresses. I saw a picture recently of Michelle wearing Capri length pants and I noticed even Jessa had on shorts in this video. It's possible it was Jim Bob who was so staunchly against the girls dressing like normal people. I've also seen pictures with some of the adult Duggar boys wearing shorts. I can remember when they once all participated in a 5K race and Jim Bob remarked it was easy to spot them since they all had jeans on and everyone else had on shorts. I had a very, very religious great aunt who I once asked what she thought of the Duggars. I figured she'd love them but she said she thought they should let those children go to school and dress like other kids. She also thought it was bad they didn't encourage their children to go to college because she was very proud of the fact that her and her husband were able to send all 4 of her children to college. She said she wouldn't have had more children than she thought she could afford to educate.

Yes, they had gone looking for a venue at first. And I think Michelle may have stayed at home with all of the missing grandchildren because she loves them so much and she’s such a wonderful grandma. I know that she and Jana are very close you can tell by the way Jana posts about her mom on Instagram. Brittany, thank you for letting us know things but you probably don’t like the Duggers as much as some of your fans do. And that’s your choice. We went to a Mennonite/Catholic wedding and the bride was not converting but her children went to Mennonite schools! His family had a separate part of the house for them! They were very nice to her and her son. They do not believe in divorce but she never married and they were ok with that! She lives on a beautiful farm with her family! The bride's side of the church wore nice evening clothes and his family wore traditional dresses and caps and the men wore plain, collared suit jackets, no lapels and no ties!
generally part of the choice of a wedding dress is because of the Venue your being married in not allowing certain things but the reception hall having different rules and generally the bride usually doesn't dance in her wedding gown particularly when the wedding reception venue is a boat ride. ok they didn't do that but I was in a family wedding as a flower girl where the reception was a Boston Harbor Cruise on the Spirit Of Boston sure the aunt and uncle the wedding was for eventually divorced and have both since passed away leaving their adult children orphaned in their late 20s
1) It was mentioned in Jana’s video that she did get her dress altered at the neckline, but only to make it look more like her inspiration photo, and not for modesty reasons. 2) I heard Jessa suggest that Jana should wear her hair down with the lower neckline designs, but she could wear it up with the higher neckline designs. So that’s how the modesty issue was dealt with; Jana’s long hair mostly covered her back so it wasn’t all that exposed. And it’s really inaccurate to say her chosen design had a deep cut in the front. She didn’t even have visible cleavage. The surprising thing was that it was off the shoulder. 3) Jill and Derick live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, which is right at the border with Oklahoma. So yes, Jill and Jana do live in the same state, and only 25 minutes apart.

Did you even watch Jana’s video? Dress shopping was done totally spontaneously after looking at a venue. Her mom didn’t go along for that; no big deal. Jana never expected to fall in love with the first venue she looked at but she did, so they decided to just skip looking at any others. Since they had some time freed up, they dropped into that dress shop. Again, she never expected she would actually find her ideal dress on that visit. So that’s why her Mom was not there. No idea why Jill wasn’t with them. Maybe she was invited to look at the venue but had a conflict. But again, Jana thought this was going to be a day of looking at various venues, nothing more, so there’s nothing very meaningful about who was not in attendance.
