I am about to start working as an interpreter in a big teaching hospital. I will be doing a lot of walking between different departments android buildings and standing for extended time. @@bunnydimples1283 Hi, I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 40. In my feet, it manifests as aching toes which have changed shape. Also what I thought were bunions, are actually lumps of calcification on my bones. Through visiting the muskelskeletal clinic I was diagnosed with Morton’s neuroma in my toes. However I only every wear trainers on my feet with insoles to support my feet when walking. They are a god send as I can still do a 3 to 4 mile walk daily. If you don’t use it, u will loose it. Keep moving. Avoid heels and very flat shoes such as ballet flats, they are worse than a small heel for me. No1 thing to do, ask to be referred through your doc to the Muskelskelatal clinic, they were marvellous with me. Hope this helps

I have seen women wear sneakers and look elegant, but I’ve also seen them worn with a “schlepy” outfit. Not everyone can carry this look off, but I have goals. 😊
Sneakers are alright, but, if you really want to be classy but casual just wear nice pair of loafers. But, there are some cool looking and even great conservative looking sneakers that do pair well with some outfits but if you want an elevated well pulled together outfit wear loafers. I keep sneakers most of the time in the sporty category... There are some great looking and comfortable loafers out there, for example, G.H. BASS, Franco Sarto, Rockport, Sam Edelman, Cole Haan, Sperry, J. Crew and Ralph Lauren; those brands are some of my personal favorites.

Just got back from London and most stylish females wore sneakers. I need to find comfortable stylish ones as I wore a Superga napa leather pair once and I could barely walk home in them they were so uncomfortable. Had more luck with my ankle boots this time. 😱🥴
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅

Well elegance most times is about practicality. In some countries and settings heels are not practical. Eg I can't wear heels when I have to walk a kilometer in a gravel road before I get public transport. Sneakers in this case are practical.

I just don't think sneakers look good with wide leg trousers...and it's certainly not an elegant look. Casual but not elegant. I like sneakers with a bit of a heel for an elevated look.
They say bags like Hermès are investments, but that makes no sense to me when you're spending $25,000 to $50,000 on a bag that will sit in your closet 50% of the time instead of investing in stocks. The only way to get your money back is to resell. I just think it's a waste of money for me, I would rather spend the money to buy the *xbagy* I want.
