My favorite character is hilda, my favorite moment is hilda helping the trolls find their place in "hilda and the mountain king" and I rate the show a 10 out of 10!
1 It’s a tie between Johana(mum), Alfur, and Kiasa. 2 WHEN HILDA TOLD HER MOM TO NOT LET GO OF HER AND THEN JOHANA SAID “NEVER!” Like this show did not need to make me cry that hard 😭. 3 9.7/10, this show is too underrated. Everything is written and planned out SO well. The art style and animation on its own already brings the show to a 9/10, and the development and messages is so satisfying to watch.
I saw a tweet that Luke Pearson said that the final season was going to have 13 episodes like the previous seasons but said that Netflix had to cut them down for no reason
Hilda starts the series off not wanting to move to the city - wanting to stay in the wilderness, wanting everything to stay the same. Simple and carefree. So it’s satisfying to see that she’s learned and grown from these experiences to the point where she’s the one rejecting the Fairy Isle’s offer of what is essentially eternal childhood. Nothing ever changing, a massive wilderness to explore forever, a land of pure, simple nostalgia with just her and her mom, like the old days.
My favorite detail about the twist is that it was very cleverly teased in many ways but my favorite one was in the episode with the Spider-Frog-like nameless monster, in hindsight. After vomiting them, he literally said "You're human...... Too human to eat....." First off, the too human to eat bit is definitely a weird thing to say unless they are indeed not fully human (which, surprise, they're not) And another strange detail is that the monster was very sure about wanting to eat them, specially for a monster that seems to very much dislike the taste of human flesh... So why did he make the confusion? Simple! 1- Fairies look just like humans, 2- Hilda has blue hair, 3- Mum played the song she heard way back in her childhood, so the Monster knew she was the fairies child..... FUCKING GENIUS
If it had 13 episodes like the previous seasons, I wish we could've had moments like: 1. Trevor's redemption 2. More Alfur x Adeline moments 3. Frida and David's first time they met flashback 4. Louise becomes one of the main characters and have more appearances 5. Fairy Entity's origin episode 6. Flashback of Johanna and Anders first time they met and why they separate 7. Another timeskip ending after The Bird Parade scene and showed us Hilda publishing and selling books about her adventures, Frida becomes a professional witch and runs the library, David becomes an entomologist (person who studies insects),Twig as an adult deerfox but still stays with Hilda
I wish to add 1.Troll showing up at a sparrow scout camping trip. 2.The history of that no named thing from the forgotten lake 3.Sparrow Scout Pet Show (Dear Foxes are seen as mythical and most don't even believe they exist.) 4.Just more info on the witches. 5.Hilda spending the Night of the Trolls with her Dad and running into people who are still predigest ageist trolls. 6.Frida's Parents reaction to learning she a witch. 7.Hilda's Dad meeting The Troll Mom on a camping trip. 8.Just Tagging a long with Anders as he looks for a job in the city. 9.Learning more about Charms Crafting with Astrid, and their uses. 10.Victoria Van Gale forcing a bridge open to disastrous consequences. (Maybe letting that unnamed thing in from the forgotten lake.) 11.Louise meeting Alfur, Twig, Tontu, and the Grate Raven. 12.Running into though zombie vikings again. 13.What ever Erik Ahlberg is up to after leaving the force. 14.The fact Hilda can talk to trolls being more relevant. 15.Frida and David's date getting interrupted by Hilda shenanigans. 16. Maybe an someone from anther world got stuck in Hilda's world when the Faratok Tree burned down. 17. The Tolecat picks a fight with a magical group and does not even know it. Witch, Elves, Marra, or the Rat King. A few of these can be combined. Like 12 and 13. Also the first is just designed to force 14 to happen.
HILDA was a legendary Netflix show. their artstyle simple but full of life and etc. hope we get to see a show like this again or more episodes of this:(
I'll miss Hilda, but I'm hopeful that the series will come back with a spin-off or sequel series, but if that happens it definitely won't be now, just in a few years, and also that a fourth season is practically impossible, but I loved it this last episode

26:44 I was asking the same question. I was like: “Wait, did I miss some steps? How did she do it?” Then I saw Victoria, and I was like: “Ah. I forgot about her. Okay”
Same. It was like "oh Victoria's staying in vangalia island or whatever she named it. Okay then, guess we don't need to think about her anymore." Only for her to pop up later on for her actual truly happy ending. With her no-longer-just-a-skull nissa.
Gotta say, your reaction totally captured the roller coaster of emotions that pretty much everyone felt watching this episode 😅😂 I have several theories and ideas of where Hilda and Co will end up, and it would probably be a WALL of text if I wrote them all down here 😮💨😉 That said, I absolutely loved “Hilda” even though I just got into it over a year ago, I was glad to be around before Season Three arrived and it was fun watching all your reactions when you got into it 👍 I would personally give it a 10/10, because while it’s not perfect, it has everything I want in a show 🤩 and yeah, Johanna is hands down the best TV/Film mother ❤ As for my favourite character and episode, it would be hard for me to pick JUST ONE of each 😅 I loved all the characters even the side characters who only appeared in one episode 😁 Anyway, it has been a pleasure watching you react to easily my favourite show ever 🥹 And, Happy Almost New Year 🥳
So the journey with another gem of a show comes to an end. Seeing the conclusion of this wonderful adventure, and how all the characters we've come to know and enjoy end up was lovely. Watching your reaction to it all was great, and hearing your thoughts on each episode and the movie was amazing to see. I agree with all the points you made at the end, and a spinoff series would be very entertaining, even if it's just to see more stories from either background characters or side characters, etc. As you put it, overall it was a great ride to go on! I would rate the series as a whole about a 9.5 too. My favorite character out of all of them would have to be either Hilda herself or Frida! Again, thank you for the reactions, and remember "Such is the life of an adventurer!"
When I watched this episode, I was very satisfied with how it ended, though I also watched it and a lot of my previous questions were answered with one being how I always felt there was something about Hilda that made her non-human, idk, I always thought Hilda was never fully human and now that I got that answer I'm just glad I got it cause most shows don't really answer those kinds of theories
Now that you're done with Hilda (and what a treat it was), I have a suggestion for another show. You've seen Amphibia and Owl House, so why not "complete the set" with Gravity Falls?
Okok you might hate me for this, because I know these two I’m about to name don’t have nearly as good of endings as this show, Amphibia, Gravity Falls and Owl House. But it’s not a complete “2010’s cartoons that start off goofy but get serious real fast and teach life lessons” set without Steven Universe and Star Vs.
we really need frida spin off that more focused on learning magic maybe hilda can learn about her fairy side with it and maybe david with his connection to bugs and if u also want we could add in louise okay i dont know how to spell her name
I wanna know more about the marra and what they do on the daily. It looks like they're just teens with spirit powers. That must make their lives easier in so many ways.
When I watched the scene where Lydia says the little girls name Johanna, I was talking over it and couldn't hear what she said until the girl reverted back to Hilda's mother; I really ruined the moment for me. But at least I could rewind it and watch it over again.
People call Hilda "An Amazing Show" so that's points in its favor. but working against it or maybe in it's favor, its not Disney, Nick or WB so the basic common person doesn't know what it is. and no normal person will ever see the movie either since you have to see season 2 to know how the movie is set up. I HOPE that at some point we do get more in universe stories. More Hilda or a spin-off about a side character. but for now no new news.
While I do like Hilda season 3 and thought that it had a great finale, it still felt like an extra season that wasn't necessary after the conclusion from Hilda and the mountain king. If anything, this season is more centered around Johanna than Hilda, especially this finale. I also found it a bit annoying with the constant avoiding of consequences. It is still a great way to end such a great series as Hilda.
My guess is No. Her aunt never flew in tofeton, but it came back to her when she returned. And I don't think there was any other scenes that showed anyone flying when not in fairy country 🤔
I'm surprised that you took so long to realize that the little girl was Johanna, they were dropping hints all season. I can recommend Godzilla Singular Point. It's not as emotional, but it's worth seeing.
Personally, i'm disappointed they didn't go through with the aunt dying. This is the big finale of the show, Hilda should be allowed to suffer a loss. Actually, her DAD should've been the one to sacrifice himself instead!! It would have made so much sense! He wanted to make up for never being in Hilda's life, he was always leaving, and he's already a flawed character who we as viewers barely knew anyway. Him giving his life for his family, to "leave" one more time so they can live would have been so symbolic and mean WAY more than what we got. This show should've taken that risk, It's a shame they chickened out.
