@@Cristianobishal As IELTS Listening starts you can look to any questions starting with Section 1 and ending in Section 4. Besides, you can write notes anywhere on your question paper, but not on the answer sheet. It can be useful if the next words of the Listening will not be appropriate. Better write them down or you might forget the word that you memorized because you have to concentrate on the next question.
In this case where we’ve got 30 questions the ielts band score should be 5 …… 6 6 …… 13 7 …… 20 8 …… 25 So in this case I had a band 7 (22/30) Thank you.

@ARYAEXE So first I would recommend watching this video: ruclips.net/video/Zx-JcXsbUqQ/видео.html They explain why most people are stuck at grade 5-6 the main reason is because they don't use a wide range of sentence types like active sentences, passive sentences, questions and so on. Then after that you should watch this video: ruclips.net/video/JpI8Vin_QVM/видео.html It explains how you should structure your essay and what you should write in each paragraph. This was very helpful as it works for all task 2. My task 2 question was a bit weird and I didn't have alot of points to write about which is why I didn't get higher I think. It asked if having a larger family is better than smaller family and to discuss the effect on society and my opinion. And lastly reading alot of model essays is important I was given access to GEL ielts prep where you can do a question and then see model answers for each grade. This helps you understand what you should mention and how to structure it. I also looked up and memories alot of vocabularies to use like furthermore, moreover and in addition.

@@Mlridge Heya!! Yes, my exam was computer-based! I would honestly tell you to study the test format! That is probably the most important thing. I had about 10 min left by the time I was done in all modules (except for the listening one, of course!) simply because I knew what to look for. Research lots of strategies, uploaded to channels like this one, and practice! Practice, practice, practice! I personally struggled with Listening, I always missed 2-3 things, but on my exam I got a 9.0! All because I spent the last few days before my exam to practice. You have lots of time, so please don't stress yourself out! Take it slow, one thing at a time and do lots of exercises and you will be good!

Thank you so much Jay and Alex for providing us with amazing strategies to apply on. Yesterday my result was announced and i got some decent figure as i desired.
Thank you so much, Jay. I have a problem and since I haven't tried the IELTS exam personally it has been always a bit unclear for me how the process of the Listening part goes. For instance, you showed us the questions here before starting the 10-second count-down and we could look at the questionnaire and prepare ourselves but is that possible during the real exam? since they give you a minute to review your answers from the last section before 10 second preparation time for the next section. I can't review the questions in only 10 seconds and I have to borrow time from that 1 minute for "reviewing the last section". Could you elaborate on this in one of your videos since I've searched the whole RUclips and still can't get my head around this issue since many people suggest using the review time for the coming section but apparently you didn't do that here in this video? thanks a lot again.
This is detailed and easy to understand. I scored 28/30. Im currently preparing for IELTS and struggling with writing. Hope you can have the same video for it. Thank you!
Hello everyone, I'm planning to have an IELTS test next month. At the moment I'm kinda confused about whether to take notes or not in Multiple Choice and Matching categories: - If I don't, I usually get confused by tons of information going out for a certain question because of the requirement of listening and reading back and forth, especially for questions with long sentences. I can't remember them all and easily get lost by distractors. But the pro of this is that I can keep track of the main flow or the ideas of the talk. - If I do, I can save the information for double checks and careful consideration later on, but I can not note all the needed information (since there's lots of information) so sometimes these pieces of info can not help me get the ideas of the questions at all to be able to answer correctly. Many thanks for your advice!
In question 27 and 28, the questions already have the word SWELL, your highlighted answer still includes SWELL in both answer (SWELL CREST and SWELL TROUGH. Should we just answer only the Crest and trough instead?
Yes as long as swell was already provided in the question you should only write crest and trough If you write swell crest or trough you’ll be saying swell swell crest…i hope this helps
Today's the 1st day of my 30-day self-review and I just want to say this video helped a lot especially when you discussed the distractors. I got 24 correct answers. :) I am excited to check the rest of your videos for listening.. Well of course, same goes with the rest of the topics. :)
Thank you Jay and the team. You all are doing a great job.I could get the expected band score only referring to your materials. Thank you so much.I owe you big time 🙏😊

I was giving so many materials to prepare myself for the ielts but they were just to complex for me.. one day as I was browsing out some channels on RUclips, I came across jay channel and his way of teachings really helped me out. He’s the best teacher so far when it comes to breaking things down to your level. I only had two weeks to prepare and I only watched lots of jays videos even despite watching his videos, I wasn’t really that serious due to work but I did apply all his teachings and I got band 7 score over all and that’s all I needed. If an unserious fellow like me can do it, you can do it even better
I just start listening today and this was my first practice and I got 25 correct out of 30, thank you so much, Jay, for the nice instructions.

bro are we allowed to see the question while listening and write them or we should memorize them rather?
@@Cristianobishal As IELTS Listening starts you can look to any questions starting with Section 1 and ending in Section 4. Besides, you can write notes anywhere on your question paper, but not on the answer sheet. It can be useful if the next words of the Listening will not be appropriate. Better write them down or you might forget the word that you memorized because you have to concentrate on the next question.

@ARYAEXE
So first I would recommend watching this video:
ruclips.net/video/Zx-JcXsbUqQ/видео.html
They explain why most people are stuck at grade 5-6 the main reason is because they don't use a wide range of sentence types like active sentences, passive sentences, questions and so on.
Then after that you should watch this video:
ruclips.net/video/JpI8Vin_QVM/видео.html
It explains how you should structure your essay and what you should write in each paragraph.
Rahul.. Congrats.. I got 5 in reading and 6 in writing.. Pls help me.. Give some tips.

Can you please give me some tips?
And if you have on 1st how come your result is out already
Did you give computer based?
@@huggablepenguin1465 Thanks a lot for replying. I may need your help in future so I'll comment here, please try to respond if possible. And Congratulations 🎊
Please also tell me that is it better to give computer based or the paper based
@@Mlridge I personally prefer the computer-based exam, because you don't have to worry about transferring your answers, you get headphones for the listening part and there is a word count on the writist task!! Super useful stuff!
@@huggablepenguin1465 True, sadly computer-delivered tests are not supported in all countries, and i would prefer the written tests as thats how i did so in my gcse's.

Hello everyone, I'm planning to have an IELTS test next month. At the moment I'm kinda confused about whether to take notes or not in Multiple Choice and Matching categories:
- If I don't, I usually get confused by tons of information going out for a certain question because of the requirement of listening and reading back and forth, especially for questions with long sentences.
Can someone please clarify this? I have the same doubt.
Same question
Yes answer only crest and trough
yes just crest and trough you can confirm on his answer sheet he only wrote single words 👍
Yes as long as swell was already provided in the question you should only write crest and trough
If you write swell crest or trough you’ll be saying swell swell crest…i hope this helps
Today's the 1st day of my 30-day self-review and I just want to say this video helped a lot especially when you discussed the distractors. I got 24 correct answers. :) I am excited to check the rest of your videos for listening.. Well of course, same goes with the rest of the topics. :)
