It is kind of sad that he has not played that many gal game roles. I think this does come down to the preference of the target audience as well as the stereotypical image of an ikemen. His voice is very unique and very mature/tough-sounding compare to other male seiyuu doing gal games, so when voicing ikemen characters, his character design does have to be one that is older. And older men in gal game are very rare (because the audience is mostly young girls who are not necessarily into older love interests in their games). This sucks for me because I love his voice so much but it's hard to find him in games I do play (aside from Yakuza, everyone needs to play Yakuza).

The other guys were a little more afraid of him because Takaya Kuroda is Kazuma Kiryu himself. A bit intimidating because that's how yakuzas is.
