Neil, settle down, to be honest the "only" reason to watch the Lions from 2010 to 2019 was Stafford! The team sucked the coaching sucked, and the front office sucked!!! Now the Lions have so many reasons to watch them, great team, great coaching and a great front office!! Stafford and Johnson made the team and that is way both are thought of as great Lions!!! The reason the Lions fans watch him at LA was they always knew that Stafford could be a Super Bowl QB and were vindicated!!!
You’ve missed the point. There actually WERE a couple years where the team was good/great and they had a ton of potential to at the very least win a playoff game and Stafford never elevated the team above any perceived weaknesses. So to the people who talk crap about Goff and say “he has a great O-line and Stafford didnt” is basically being hypocritical that clearly Stafford NEEDS all the pieces around him too (like he did in LA). And no other franchise’s fans follow a former QB and root for THEM during a match-up with their current team! ESPECIALLY after Stafford and Kelly have shown their true colors after the fact. It’s a competition. He was in the way of our dreams of a SB, you don’t make that man feel “at home” in that situation and since he got so salty and the Stafford lovers came out of the woodwork to kiss his ass, Neil said what NEEDED to be said. Period.
Man, I was hoping for a lot more electric Sam Flannel moments.
