A big fan of yours! And oh, thanks for giving me an idea about the knife on your ad, I would surely get on to give as gift. I love how it looks, very very cool!
After watching you two from the beginning of this adventure, I'm amazed at how far you've come. What an awesome video compilation you put together here. I'm sure you had some laughs going back through these to put it together. It's inspiring to see the two of you work together as you chase your dreams. Great job BOTH of you. Thanks for taking us along.
Good morning from Michigan guys!
Amazing work along the way, and also while doing all the audio/video production. Wishing you many blessings as you continue to work, play and love each other!
Robert
I can't believe how far you've come. It's certainly impressive.
You have done a wonderful job with your building and property!
You two are creating a great thing for yourselves!!!
Thank you for the inspiration!! Just bought 20 ac and hoping to resaw some cross ties for barn siding etc.. so will definitely be using your sawmill on sidewalk idea.. looks to work the best I've seen.. very cool to see a neat couple so supportive of each other and having rhe same dream!! Powerful!!!
Amazing job! Best regards from Poland 🇵🇱
Thanks for the video, really enjoyed seeing the progress.
Good job
Very beautiful. Do you have a floorplan for this house?
As someone that was charged with monitoring expenditures for the government, I notice you neglected to add cost of (incidentals) Screws, paint, solvent, stain, nails silicon for putting around chimneys' flashing, possible gas for going into town to purchase the aforementioned items and other items as well. Needless-to-say, all of this is part of your home building cost.
They had a hardware and strap cost. Figured it was built into that price
You still haven't said what you did about your leaky, mud filled wall.
You Aught to take your big excavator and dig out the bank on the other side and put the other half of the shop up!
The dirt wall next to the building concerns me! I hope you have had it checked out and will be stable in the future.
Could you have made the whole thing out of concrete block? And how much would that cost?
having just seen a short teaser on needing/getting help this season from "Homestead Rescue" the stated cost is not credible. this is a common problem with "reality" and "HGTV style remodeling" - all materials & professional work needs to state market costs. it is seldom done that way and there is a very attractive but unreal dream to the story.
Wow,you did such a great job, very few could have met the challenge,do you and your wife have children
Great video, Looking forward to following your journey, can't wait to learn more!!
How much did it cost to build the loft area?
Do you hv a shop stove to help with heating the loft? What about summer cooling? #newsub #KeepingitDutchfan
First like 👍
Liz.. did you ever sort out your bread maker?.. I'm having issues with mine and I think it's the fact air got at my yeast, snd it doesn't rise like it should?
Genesis 2:7
King James Version
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. GODS BLESSINGS OVER YOU .
How is the road going behind the house where you put allthough's Is Little water trails in the road to the water would go down the hill and not go towards the house
When does your homestead rescue episode air on Discovery +? I looked for it but there is only up to season 9 available on Discovery+ as of today. Thanks!
It's nice to get a review of all that you have done. Thanks for sharing this... I'm still looking forward to you guys making the rest of your dreams into reality. It's really cool to go along for the ride, so to speak.
That was a fun video. Easy to see know as to putting up the retainer wall. Right at the start would have been easy versus know. That is a big building. Good thing you did it before lumber prices went crazy. Thanks for sharing.
47,000 is really good price now does that also include the land
L was guessing 50K as I watched. Hope you solve the hill bank issues soon.....
But did you include the cost of equipment that you purchased so that you could do this
If you had to do over again is there anything you would do differently?
I started watching you when you first moved. Neat to see a recap.

GREAT Video!!! WE forget how much you guys have done by yourselves!! Looks GREAT!!
Mike & Liz is there anything different you wish you've done during build? 47,000.00 not bad for beautiful house, views & PRIVACY.
I gotta say,... I am really digging what you guys are doing. You really built a house from materials that realistically your average person would use. You didn't go into some ICF bs and have people pay to build your house for you, like some other channel I won't mention. I love the way the interior layout is, the hand made rustic look. I would seriously consider building a house like this. And, you have actual sponsors instead of crying about people using adblock. Those knives look really cool actually, I'm going to get a set! Keep up the good work!
If you guys have a drone, that closing footage of the mountains is outstanding. You went with wood counter-tops. How has that held up after installation? I like the wood-centric house. The upstairs space is nicely arranged.
Nice flash-back. Time sure flies when you are having fun. Very affordable price when you do most of the work yourselves. Thanks for sharing.
Been here from the start, it's amazing to see the changes, both good and bad, ya'll have made! Love ya'll ❤️
This is really helpful as we are considering doing something similar here in Idaho.
I always look forward to your videos…you guys have come a long way…
Well done from a old couple in the mountains.
Great job. You two make the perfect team.
YOU ARE GREAT!
You did "99% of the work yourselves"?. As a retired contractor I can tell you that builders get a bit miffed when people claim, "We did it." Similarly, I'm sure all those helpers and subcontractors appreciate your comment (being facetious).. You may have been involved or in the way with 99% of the various tasks, but you didn't do 99% of all the work yourselves on your "homestead".
Would love for you to dive into our channel to eat that tasty crow. 👍
