After watching you two from the beginning of this adventure, I'm amazed at how far you've come. What an awesome video compilation you put together here. I'm sure you had some laughs going back through these to put it together. It's inspiring to see the two of you work together as you chase your dreams. Great job BOTH of you. Thanks for taking us along.

As someone that was charged with monitoring expenditures for the government, I notice you neglected to add cost of (incidentals) Screws, paint, solvent, stain, nails silicon for putting around chimneys' flashing, possible gas for going into town to purchase the aforementioned items and other items as well. Needless-to-say, all of this is part of your home building cost.

having just seen a short teaser on needing/getting help this season from "Homestead Rescue" the stated cost is not credible. this is a common problem with "reality" and "HGTV style remodeling" - all materials & professional work needs to state market costs. it is seldom done that way and there is a very attractive but unreal dream to the story.

I gotta say,... I am really digging what you guys are doing. You really built a house from materials that realistically your average person would use. You didn't go into some ICF bs and have people pay to build your house for you, like some other channel I won't mention. I love the way the interior layout is, the hand made rustic look. I would seriously consider building a house like this. And, you have actual sponsors instead of crying about people using adblock. Those knives look really cool actually, I'm going to get a set! Keep up the good work!

If you guys have a drone, that closing footage of the mountains is outstanding. You went with wood counter-tops. How has that held up after installation? I like the wood-centric house. The upstairs space is nicely arranged.

You did "99% of the work yourselves"?. As a retired contractor I can tell you that builders get a bit miffed when people claim, "We did it." Similarly, I'm sure all those helpers and subcontractors appreciate your comment (being facetious).. You may have been involved or in the way with 99% of the various tasks, but you didn't do 99% of all the work yourselves on your "homestead".
