You guys were the ones who gave me the 5 Color seeds I grew last year. I got soooo many of them, and they're dried. The red ones were the least spicy. The placenta of the bluish ones was crazy hot!🤣🤣

Thanks a bunch! So happy they did well for you. The 5 Color is a gorgeous pepper to have in the yard and to get to see the colors and uniqueness first hand. I have heard that before about the lower heat ripe on it. I think me and Angel are going to try my brother-in-law with both to see what he thinks. He is a hot pepper fan and can eat them without so much pain. LOL The 5 Color actually shares alot of similarity to the Fillius Blue as well which sits at the same heat but is one of the only known peppers to decrease in ripening. :)

I think yours is still a pretty good size. Your neighbor's definitely shows off the 5 colors. It's very beautiful, & yea, I think I'm with y'all, I would probably dry them & crush them. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful pepper plant❤

Thanks a bunch! Some beautiful firecrackers. LOL Drying is best but hard to beat such a standout plant for color and production in our yard. :)

natural yogurt is my go to with spicy food, natural greek yogurt goes great as a side dish on the plate, also to lower the heat on a hole pot as wel, if you have over done your self with to mutch heat:) lovely plants you guys have, my only have flowers so far..

Thanks a bunch! Yogurt is a great go to for heat and one we have almost forgot about so thank you for the remind. Angel got some recently for our upcoming tests. Personally though(UT) I prefer orange juice. Together even better. :)

I love the looks of this pepper, even if it was just for decoration. It is beautiful!! Angel was brave!! Love to use dried peppers in spaghetti.!!
Maybe one day you could pass on the pepper growing secrets. Your peppers look ten times better than mine!! Production wise.

Thanks tons! Angel is much braver on the hot peppers than me. Especially this season so far. Spaghetti is a great use for these. Crushed over a pizza we have done as well and sometimes into soups. No major secrets over here really. This is our 10th season in this yard and if I had one thing to say about our growing success it would be the failures. They don't show up in our videos often but we have had a ton. Some old and some new but always lessons to learn alot from. :)

That is a beautiful pepper - neighbor is doing great! Like you I prefer the hotter varieties in moderation.

Thanks tons! In moderation for sure. Our enjoyment of them goes up each year but raw heat will always be a pain. :)

Can you plant the seeds from these peppers? I think you answered my question. You and Angel have been growing some nice looking peppers ever since I was subbed to you. I'm not a pepper guy but I do like bananna peppers. I know that some peppers you should wash your hands b/c the hot oils will transfer through your hands. This pepper sounds like one hot pepper. Have a fine weekend. Enjoyed a full-watch. 👍🏽👍🏽🤠🤠 07/20/24

Thanks tons! The seeds can be planted from these. We love saving them too because we could remove them now and bag them up or just leave in the dry pods to use when ready. Banana peppers are a good old fashioned type and in my top 10 at least for sweet peppers. Definitely need to use care with hot peppers. The oils soak in too so when washing we really scrub to not leave any behind. To be honest we don't follow the rules sometimes and pay the price. LOL

Thanks tons! A really great flavor on this one for sure. I am not a hot pepper fan but for cooking and adds it is a standout over here. Definitely worthy of being top in some lists. :)

@@UT33200 then eat them when they are purple and have the lowest heat but still good flavor . Freezing them and grating them in your food helps with spreading the heat ;-)

I had one years ago and I only used one purple in a large stockpot of chili and nobody would eat it.

Thanks a bunch! I have been hearing several places the under ripe ones may be hotter than red. Out of all the peppers I have grown the closest it resembles is the Filius Blue as well which is a unique pepper in that it gets milder when it ripens. Planning to ask a family member who likes peppers to try both since me and Angel can't handle them raw very well at any level. LOL

Do you remove the seeds before drying them?

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  Месяц назад

Thanks tons! Sometimes we do if there isn't alot of peppers of that type. Normally though we just leave the seeds in them.
