Wow! If you ever wante to know what a "shill" or shilling looked like, watch this video. That being said, I walked the Summerfield, Florida PPL lot yesterday and had a wonderful time with my wife just shopping for a previously owned 5th wheel. The lot was level and clean. Easy to stroll around and walk through the well detailed and presented units for sale. The salespeople were "tied up" with customers, but we weren't ready to pull the trigger yet so it was all good. We intend on making a purchase before the holidays and PPL has been the best shopping experience as far as product selection and presentation is concerned.
I've asked this a couple of times before and have not received an answer. Who owns PPL? It used to be (I thought) the RV Nana. Is she still the owner? Who owns it?? This matters and nobody ever answers the question.
I beleive there is a lot more pain and downside coming still. I’m holding off. RVs are not necessities. Make the RV dealerships and manufacturers feel more pain. You’ll feel better for it!!!
😢How am I to tell w 3:58 whether a Ford or American or a Benz is on a truck chassis or on an automobile chassis? Are there terms I should look for? Are truck chassis better for full-time RV? Is there a number or code that will identify whether the chassis has been reinforced?
Generally Ford frames used in RV manufacture are the E350 and E450 chassis (class C, B+ and the occasional ACE units). The Ford F53 chassis is used on class A gas units. Mercedes Sprinter chassis are used on most B+ and class B Camper Vans (as is the Dodge Ram Promaster - DO NOT BUY, and the Ford Transit chassis. I do not recall any current manufacturers who use an automobile chassis. Finally, inside the RV, there will be a YELLOW sticker which gives you the chassis information (date of manufacture, recommended tire pressures, maximum load and max towing and hitch weights). I would not buy any B or B+ unit on a Mercedes chassis. Folks rave they get 15-19 MPG but if you ever need one worked on, prepare to part with a lot of cash. Any Ford dealer can work on the E350 and E450 cutaway chassis. Less common now is the Chevy Workhorse chassis (4500) which, if it has the 6.0L V8, is a solid performer - and smoother shifting than Ford models 2021 and earlier. The new E350 and E450 chassis with the 7.3L V8 gets very good marks overall, as Ford did away with the 6.8L V-10.
I own a 2022 Jayco pinnacle the quality is so bad the service from the dealer is so bad my fifth wheel has spent the last 3 and the three summers I have owned it in the shop getting fixed haven’t been able to use it I will by used from now pre 2021 the 2013 keystone was 10 times the quality I payed 20 something thousand for it and 137 thousand for my 2022 Jayco there is no consumer protection in the Rv industry I am looking for a pre admission diesel pusher if I have to do repairs myself it will be a better quality repair and I don’t have to get we jerked around by Bishes in Nebraska. They’ve had my unit since 1 May haven’t even diagnosed most of problems and order parts. They lie to me every time I talk to them

Is this a commercial for PPL?
Always check NADA used RV prices. You simply CANNOT trust dealer data only, though it can be a valuable data point.

Thank you for the video. I’ll be contacting PPL to help me sell my 2021 Riverstone.

Alan, do you know anything about the Motor Coach Store in Florida? Are they reputable? Any information would be greatly appreciated
